• Update of reported to the need by MBSA in the United States Europe browser choice

  We need each month of security reports on our computers for security audits. This process is the race of MBSA on them. MBSA has early reports various computers such as demanding KB976002, the update of the European Microsoft browser choice.   I'm having difficulty to remove the 32-bit windows browser choice update 7. After fishing trawl google, I see that I'm supposed to remove KB976002, problem is there is no KB976002 on my pc but I did not update the browser choice. I was to control panel of configuration/programs and features and tried to get here but I see no called the browser choice update and I don't know what its ' number of KB it is. Please note:

  I don't want to turn it off, I don't want to stop the service, I don't want to remove the icon, I don't want to disable the window. I want to completely REMOVE the browser choice update. Thanks for any help.

  well, I had this coming... so I hid this pointless update, but after installation of Media Center on my Windows 8 Pro KB976002 is installed with the WMC or after that (in which case my "hide" obtained order ignored) - either way, it's a MS messup side, not the user

  However, the biggest problem is that this bloody update can not be uninstalled by conventional means - in the section windows updates, there is not an uninstall option, the app has not an uninstall option, run wusa.exe/uninstall kb:976002 gives me the finger saying update can not be removed , because IT IS NECESSARY (Please make me laugh more)

  Please tell me how KB976002 can be uninstalled (and no, I do not accept "it cannot be" for a response)-unfortunately I do not have a system restore date to get rid of this embarrassing piece of...

  I can´t MS belive still does these things. Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Microsoft/Windows/CurrentVersion/Run and remove the entry from the browser choice.

  What version update you? There are different versions for different carriers.

  You did pass, go in the browser,

  BBKey > Options > browser Configuration

  If so, this selection of albums has only two. More below on this page is "Browser Identification", where you can select FF or IE.

  Have sony laptop 4 months which has windows 7 and little ie64 and little ie32. After downloading and installing these updates ie32 tip disappeared. I did a system restore to a point before installation and ie32bit reappeared. Tried to install the updates individually but was unable so installed their new and my 32-bit IE went even more he knocked mcaffe antivirus and firewall. So do I really need these three updates to ensure safety.

• Choice of the browser downloaded on my computer I deleted it (thinking it was the virus) but now problems

  I use IE7 on a Windows XP Home Edition computer. The other day I noticed a new icon on my desk, 'browser choice '. This thought was a virus or something of mischievous I deleted all records related to the it search in the start menu option. However, since the deletion, I get the icon in my task bar that updates are ready to be installed, which is "Browser Microsoft Choice screen Update for users of the EEA of Windows XP (KB976002)". When I try and install the update, it gives me an error message saying that there can be no error code: 0x800F0102. This update comes on my computer every time I turn it on now and it seems to be very slow. I tried to restore my computer to a start time, but it does make a difference. I also did a virus scan and malware. Can someone help me solve the problem any ideas would be appreciated. Thank you!

  Sorry for the long cuff. After that Windows Update found this update, I chose to install it, but there is no sign of a shortcut from where I could choose between different browsers and no screen appears where I was supposed to do the same thing. My system is:

  Did you already have firefox or another browser besides IE by default when you install the browser choice?
  If yes then the ballot screen will not appear.

  WIN XP SP3 - black month not yet installed Tuesday.

  32 - bit

  Running Essentials dry with the Windows Firewall.  All traces of previously installed AV etc removed with suitable tools and advice of experts registry entries. All auto updates inform only.

  Three updates concerned-

  KB2158563 - summer time

  KB952287 - link in Add/Remove information showed this was Silverlight - link to MS updates the page showed that for MDCA.

  KB976002 V5 - has shown in Add/Remove of Silverlight, but the link from there for more information gave me the choice of the browser of the Euro.

  Around 19:00 yesterday [14 October], I started the computer and immediately got the browser choice window.  Read and rejected that I change it.  I expect monthly updates as I expected them as friends etc. had already got their.  No yellow shield.

  When I went to Stuttgart down, upward came the little info thing say updates will be installed when I stop.  I cancelled and I went back and saw no yellow shield.  I looked into the Security Center and found me horror that the setting was dll and install on fully automatic.  I reset to inform only.

  Then, I went into Add/Remove and seen that the above three KB numbers were there.  I deleted all three and removed their entries in C: Windows.

  Restarted by avoiding any download - found that the 976002 was backagain.

  It seems that this is not uninstalable.

  Why were these three able to install, why was my choice of update to notify altered.
