Browser compatibility issues

My site displays perfectly in IE8 and IE9... but it's the only 2.  IE7, Mozilla 8.0.1 & 11, Safari and Opera are not, but the worst offender is Mozilla

Please visit this page in IE8 or 9: http://www.healthquestpt.com/garegion2/register.html

And then view it in Mozilla...

I validated the page W3 and CSS, and a few errors that come back I don't think are related to why Mozilla and IE7 are butchering my Web site.

Help?

The orange colored bars downstairs are feeders left... they really need, and then the float is not cleared before applying the next float.

So first of all, don't float left everything default, left aligned. So if you have something float, you may need to disable the previous floats to operate.

Best wishes

  • Browser compatibility issues: Table wide and glitter animation autoscroll

    Hi guys

    I just uploaded a site in BRUTE form, just so that I have an example to show you. I'll probably take it down once I have a solution. I tested it on IE and chrome, the two latest versions (I think)

    The site is: www.jpmediaonline.co.uk

    OK, I have 2 questions, both are specific browser

    1. the table in the accommodation section is much wider in IE than chrome. It is intended to be displayed in the width, is it in Chrome.

    2. I use a JSquery to autoscroll and animate between sections. It's perfect on IE, but apparently on chrome Jutters / glitch / flicker... it seems to happen just as the accommodation section is about to pass.

    Hope I can get help to these two questions.

    Thank you!

    While your DIV class to "hostingtable" has a "width" defined for it, your table in itself is not.

    Add a "width" tag to your class 'table1' and set it to your desired width. IE will read the width of the table and show exactly that much.

    About the scrolling of the page, I don't see any glitch / twinkle / Jutters. Even if you see it, I suspect something to be with the settings of your video card that Chrome is programmed for. This should not be a cause for concern as a "browser compatibility".

    Hello

    I use jdev 11.1.2.4.

    I have a problem with the display of my layout in different browsers.

    I created a page with an element of af: panelFormLayout surrounded by af: PanelGroupLayout (PGL) component. PGL hamdi property is 'Center' and «Horizontol» layout

    Please can you advise a solution to this?

  • Safari to Internet Explorer browser compatibility issue

    Hello

    I recently learn some basics in Dreamweaver MX and CS3, I have developed a website and im having a problem with one of the pages in internet explore the topic page of city-room dining. I created the site by slicing my drawing in photoshop and creating a table in dreamweaver in the same width in pixels, and then insert the jpg files in the table, the cell with the flash is transparent flash over image bg of a cell, I did something similar for the text box on each page... I think this is where the problem is city meals page as I have to text boxes , for some reason, they appear in safari but internet Explorer the table cells seem to be thrown everywhere, if anyone has any suggestions in what I have to do this would be greatly appreciated

    Please take a look at...

    www.City-Dining.co.uk

    go to the town page to eat now, I took the text out of the cells to see if that was the problem but no luck yet.

    Tom

    Thanks for pointing out these corrections to do I know that using flash that pages will be not accessible by some users to first a link to the rollover image would solve this problem for users and search engines? or should it be text?

    A link where you can see the

    Also, I initially created the site using layers and quickly learned that the site would not move with the browser when it is resized, is there a similar way to put a placeholder image for the background and place a text layer on top which will follow the image placeholder when the browser is resized?

    Certainly, but the text in absolute positioning containers can be embarrassing as well.  Do it the way I suggested.  Your page will be expand vertically if the text is resized, you will therefore need to accommodate in your table background (i.e. having the unified image as I suggested, use CSS so that it is not the tile, * and * specify a background color that is consistent with the lower part of the image so that as the table grows vertically the background color is seen below the image).  But things are not all broken on you.

  • I'm unable to access webmail on TalkTalk (formerly Tiscali) using Firefox 5.0 and TalkTalk tell me there is a compatibility issue?

    I have not had any problems with my previous version of Firefox and I can access my Tiscali/TalkTalk webmail using the latest IE browser. I am connect but cannot access the contents of the mailbox. I asked TalkTalk on the problem they have stated that "If you are unable to access the mailbox using Firefox version 5, so I want to inform you that there is compatibility issue with Firefox version 5 and webmail of Talk Talk, thanks to which you found the error above. Alternatively, you can try to uninstall the latest version of firefox, and then reinstall the earlier version to settle the case. "Can I assume that these difficulties will be resolved between you? I would prefer to use Firefox and do not wish to go back to IE.

    Apparently, TalkTalk mail will work with Firefox 4 and 5 of Firefox If you set the browser are to TalkTalk mail saying that you always use version 3.6.

    You can find instructions for this in a post on the forums of TalkTalk: Firefox 4 & TalkTalk webmail - Forums.

    Note: when you open about: config the first time, it will display a warning message that you have to be careful with changes that you make. It's certainly good to keep in mind.

    This utility, which has a knowledge of auto-starting locations of any startup monitor, shows you what programs configured to run at system startup or login and that the entries in the order of processing windows. These programs include those in your startup folder, Run, RunOnce, and other registry keys. You can configureAutoruns to show other locations, including Explorer shell, toolbar extensions, helper objects to the browser, Winlogon notifications, auto and many start-up services even more. • New site and I feel certain it IE compatibility issues

    We used Dreamweaver CS5.5 to create a site.  Everything works fine in all browsers except ie9.  The image in the middle of the page 'about' is at the bottom of the page instead on the move and the workplace (from top down) and if you click on the compatibility mode, the image moves in the right position, but we lose all our headers.

    I know there must be either a simple hack I need or my code is disabled, but when I run WC3 validation, the number of errors I have (which I am) are not, and if I run the browser compatibility check, once again, none of the listed items applies to these issues.

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    See the site here.

    The following style rule is the cause of the problem:

    IMG {}

    border: 0

    vertical-align: top;

    text-align: left;

    }

    Delete the vertical-align and text-align of the rules, and the image is displayed correctly.

    I designed our website with Dreamweaver 6.0 and IE 7.0 just downloaded Charleston and throughout the site does not work when I go to look at our Web site. Now you see that anyone using one browser other than IE saw
    all along. The code is pretty ugly, but for you immediate problem, go to
    This file: http://www.fairmont.org/chamber/background1.css and change
    this:

    {.background1}
    background-attachment: fixed;
    background-image: url (Background.jpg);
    background-repeat: no-repeat;
    background-position: left top;
    height: auto;
    Width: auto;
    }

    To do this:

    {.background1}
    background-image: url (Background.jpg);
    background-repeat: no-repeat;
    background-position: left top;
    }

  • Satellite M70 with Vista - TCtrlIOHook.exe is blocked due to compatibility issues

    Hi guys,.

    Hoping I can pick your brain. I have the Satellite M70 and have (I think) installed most of the new drivers for Vista... but when I boot up I get "this program is blocked to compatibility issues" blah blah blah..., then says that he has

    Toshiba utility programs
    Publisher Toshiba
    Location C:\windows\system32\TCtrlIOHook.exe

    Can anyone of you tell me please
    one) where I can get a driver to solve this,
    (b) stop this message that appears whenever I start

    Thank you

    Kian

    Hello

    The TCtrlIOHook.exe belongs to the TOSHIBA Hotkey Utility control.
    All this FN keys needs to control the software and TOSHIBA Hotkey Utility is necessary if you want to use the function of the FN keys.

    (A) If you didn t find these utility for Vista on the Toshiba page then it seems that Toshiba don't provide this software for Vista for the M70 laptops.

    (b) If you want to stop the message appearing at the beginning of the boot process, you must remove it from the OS or you will prevent loading software!
    This can be done in the registry. You can remove entries from the RACE
    EntVersion entVersion\Run

    I think that the trend with Microsoft, is that it will strive to offer its own drivers for your unit.

  • CAN the c series modules and drivers XNET and Ethernet expansion chassis cRIO compatibility issues

    Hello

    I encountered a problem with my current setup which was not picked up by the tool advise cRIO or by the engineer of applications OR that we used to check our configuration before starting the project.  It turns out that the NI 9853 CAN modules require a XNET driver that is not compatible with the NI 9149 expansion chassis.

    We currently have a system with a cRIO NI 9068 with general IO and some CAN controller and CAN open modules in a carrycot and an Ethernet NI9149 with more general IO expansion chassis and more CAN and CAN open an another pod remote modules and all of this should work under water, so I can not move the modules of the expansion chassis to the chassis controller without a lot of overhaul of the system and equip and a team of angry engineers and technicians.

    I have developed the FPGA code for the 9068 OR and have CAN and CAN open networks works with happiness.  Then I tried to copy the same FPGA code on the expansion chassis and it compiles, but when I try to launch it I get the error-63184 code.  After long calls OR support, and tries to install the missing drivers on the expansion chassis, we discovered that XNET is not compatible with this chassis.

    Can anyone suggest the best course of action?  Is there an expansion chassis Ethernet that will support XNET?  I have here no information online about this compatibility issue that I can't find?

    I'll be communication with DIRECTLY, but from previous experience of the "odd" questions, I know the community often hold the key.  Any suggestions gratefully received.

    Thank you, Ed

    It's official.  CAN open modules are not compatible with the expansion chassis.  I have them moved to RIO and will get the upgraded pods.

    Thank you

    I want to be the new operating system Windows 10. Apparently, this is going to be a compatibility issue with my laptop. I have the AMD Radeon HD 7640 G graphic card. It seems that Windows 10 do not like it. How can I fix this problem before the release date in July? Thank you.

    This is a preliminary read Microsoft and won't say there are problems that can be supported with the official version.  Just be sure that you have the most recent driver for now.

    Win 10 drivers will be released by the factory eventually so keep not prevent you to Win 10.
