4. it starts
5. I click on install now
6. I have type the product key
7. I click measure because that no operating system
8. I format the hard drive and create a new partition

Hey Kevin,

Welcome to the Microsoft community.

Could answer you a few questions:

1. have you connected external devices other mouse and keyboard?

2. What is the exact error that you receive when you get the blue screen?

I would like to inform you that for the installation of Windows 8, you must have an operating system on the computer, otherwise you can not install Windows 8. You could get Blue Screen of Death because of the hardware specifications of the computer. You must run Windows Upgrade Assistant to avoid the problem. You can go through the link for your reference.

How to perform a clean installation of Windows 8

http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-8/clean-install

You can remove all external hardware devices connected to the computer except the mouse Council and key, and then try to install Windows 8.

If you have other questions related to the issue, you are always welcome in our community.

    Hello

I m a bit confused now... When you get exactly the BSOD? After complete installation of Windows or after that?
By the way: BSOD code what you get exactly?

I often read on codes of BSOD when installing XP so I guess that you didn't use the correct driver SATA. You need the Storage Manager to properly install Windows and you can find this driver on the Toshiba site.

By the way: you can also use the forum search to find similar topics.

    Hello:

You must integrate the drivers for XP sata controller to be installed.

I zipped and tied the drivers you need below.

Unpack the drivers that I have attached to their record.

Then, read the section Intel the link below and the downloadable document that explains how to integrate the drivers that I've fixed it so that XP will be installed.

  • Repeatedly to get BSOD on Windows 8, even after the new re - installed.

    Hello

I installed a new copy of Win8 about 3.5 months ago, and last week I started having these BSOD errors (possibly after a windows update):

    1. NTFS FILES for error SYSTEM
    2. IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL
    3. LIST OF CORRUPT NFP
    4. SYSTEM SERVICE EXCEPTION

Everytime I restarted my computer, I had another of these errors. So I decided to update the installation of Windows 8, and because the update remained stuck on 39% more day I left it. At this point, it was simply impossible to connect to windows whenever I tried because the BSOD would leap upward before that windows won't even load.

    Attempts at recovery:

    1. Fully formatted HARD drive, installed Windows 8, but it was just a matter of time until that the BSOD was back again after a windows update. I suspect that these errors are all drivers related issues, but how can we know which driver is causing the conflict exactly? What can I use to read the Dump files easily?
    2. Research showed it could be things like adapters wireless usb etc, and I noticed that my usb adapter list win8 as a compatible platform. I went to the store and bought a usb adapter which is 8 compatible windows. I also bought a HARD disk that is compatible win8 just to be sure. I tried another new facility at the new disk and he succeeded. I installed the driver of usb wireless network card compatible win8 since the accompanying CD and the BSOD was back.
    3. Completely re-formatted the HARD drive tries again, another installation, but once it has reached "Installing updates" IRQL LESS or DIFFERENT error popped up again. I don't think it actually installed updates because the computer was not connected to the network somehow, because the usb adapter is no longer connected to the computer.
    4. I tried to install another after a quick format once again, and when she reaches the "Install updates" step the BSOD came back (no cable Ethernet or a wireless connection to internet).

    Issues related to the:

    1. A full format really helps the situation?
    2. Is it possible to have driver problems during the installation of windows on a hard drive completely wiped out?
    3. Why it would fail to step "Install updates" even if there is no connection to the network, so no way to download the updates?
    4. Is it possible that the other components of my machine cause conflicts?
    5. If not, how can I solve this problem? What are some other things to try?

Here are the specs of my machine:

    • Graphics, GTX 670 1 800 MB of memory.
    • 16 GB of RAM DDR3 Corsair Vengeance.
    • Processor 3.5 GHz Intel core i7 - 3770 k

    Thank you

    Hello

It turns out one of my RAM chips was defective.

I ran a diagnosis of memory, which has detected hardware problems, then I ran my computer with each piece at a time to determine the defective one.

My computer works fine now. I think that everything else is fine as well.

I thank very you much for all the help. I'll reach out again if something else happens.

WHAT CAN I DO? ANY HELP?

    Hello

As far as I know the Satellite A100 is equipped with a SATA HDD and so you need the SATA drivers before installing Windows XP.

It is a known issue and you will find hundreds of discussions here in the forum about this Yes, you can take a few minutes to use the forum search.

On your laptop, you need the Storage Manager you can download from the Toshiba site. Then, you can create a new installation with nLite disk or you are using an external floppy drive. I think that this document could be useful for you:

But don t forget the Windows XP disk must contain at least SP2!

I searched on Internet forums, some people have had similar problems on a computer no-Toshiba with XP and the problem was caused because the XP installation CD does not have S - ATA Raid Controller drivers? Which after pressing F6 at the start-up of the plant, solved the problem.

However, I was unable to find the drivers for the controller S - ATA Raid on Toshiba support site, and I don't know where to find them. Someone knows something like that and it is due to S - ATA Raid Controller drivers? And if the answer is Yes, where can I find them since?

    Thank you

    Omer

    Hello

Everything you need you can find on Toshiba Canada support page http://209.167.114.38/support/Download/ln_byModel.asp#
When you choose your part number do not forget, you use PSAANC-VA505C number (check also on the laptop label in the lower corner of your laptop).

Now, back to the blue screen. As far as I know for this model of laptop is not necessary to install the S - ATA Raid Controller at the beginning of the procedure of the facilities. For laptops with RAID driver this driver is available on the download page. This driver is not available for your laptop model.

  • Qosmio G30-176: BSOD when installing Windows Vista Edition full

I have my wisdom(??!!) I bought a Toshiba Qosmio g30-176 with preinstalled Windows XP MCE 2005. The plan was to install Windows Vista Ultimate on drive D: (do the dual machine boot XP & Vista). I've updated the BIOS today on the Toshiba site and I ran Windows Vista Upgrade Advisor.

I started the upgrade of Vista (custom) and installed the Toshiba RAID drive C: Qosmio (driver C:\toolscd\raid) driver. Installation starts copying the files from the Vista installation disc. This completes OK.

The upgrade then continues to "unpack"(?) ". files - part way through this restarting of the o/s.
To restart the Qosmio stop with the blue screen of death and the "SESSION3_INITIALIZATION_FAILED" message "STOP: 0x0000006f (0xC000009D, 0x00000000, 0x00000000, 0x00000000).

    Help, please

I'm pretty sure that you have installed the wrong driver SATA/RAID.

On the Toshiba site are no XP drivers available so that you download on Intel: [www.intel.com]
You need the Intel Matrix Storage Manager.

The Microsoft Knowledge Base explains to this might be a bad driver:

    Hello

Go to the Bios. put, Comaptible, in Sata controller, press F10 - save and exit. Then, start the Windows installation, no BSOD occurred. After installation, you can install the Storage Manager, reboot and reseating, AHCI, the Sata controller.

But before the installation, go to the driver page to check if all the drivers are available:

Come on HP, I need your advice please.

    Hello:

There is a very good reason that XP does not install.

Intel did not provide any sata ahci drivers for the chipset that has your laptop.

That's why you got the BSOD.  XP cannot find the hard drive.

The latest processors from Intel-based notebook chipsets which had support for XP have laptops with the 7 Series chipsets.

Not to mention the fact that you wouldn't find any graphic or wireless drivers for XP even if you can get it (that you can't) install.

    Hello

Please see the Knowledge Base Microsoft for all BSOD codes:
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/324103

In any case, this means that you have integrated a bad driver AHCI or you don t use a.
The point is before installing Windows XP, you need the right driver AHCI because otherwise you will get a BSOD or your HARD drive will not be recognized.
On laptops equipped with Intel chipset, you need the Intel Storage Manager driver package because it contains the correct driver for you. You can download it on the Toshiba site or the Intel Web site.

The drivers, you can copy on an external floppy drive and then you load it after booting from the XP disc by pressing F6. Or you create a new installation with our own drivers disc, and then you don't need an external floppy drive. For this, you can use nLite.

Finally and most importantly, I think that this Toshiba link might be useful for you:

    Can I install Windows XP on a Satellite A300D - 14 p?

.. .thx for any info and/or messages...

    Hello

    Just to clarify something:

-If you want to install Windows XP Home edition, but do not change the BIOS settings (leave it in AHCI mode) at the beginning of the procedure of facilities you must load a SATA driver by pressing F6. That's only way to install Windows XP Home edition with success
-You can install WXP without driver SATA, but you must change the compatibility settings. Everything works fine, but if you change the settings on back ACHI you get BSOD every time when you try to start Windows XP Home edition

If you want to install the SATA driver please install WXP if you use SATA starts the driver before installing Windows XP Home edition.
