BSOD on Satellite C660-2QW errors

Hello!

I encountered a problem with my new laptop Toshiba Satellite C 660 - 2QW (Windows 7 64-bit)... some BSOD errors occur and it is very troublesome: PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA MEMORY_MANAGEMENT, KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED, IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL, PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA etc.  :(

The product code is PSC1SE-01S004G5. ?

?

Help!
Pretty please!

Thank you!

Hello

BSOD may be related to software or hardware problems.
I think that you should first check if the border services officers are not related to this problem of system.
In other words, it is not necessary to recover the computer laptop back to factory settings.
Don t install other applications but test the laptop with the settings of Toshiba.

If the BSOD appears again, well well, the next step should be a memory test.
You can use free software as memtest86 +. This test should run a few hours.
But the best would be the use of modules of memory good work.

Hi, my laptop, Toshiba Satellite C660-1RR, has terrible problems. First of all, the blue screen (BSOD) appears, and then the laptop stops or restarts again and again. Then closed, it only opens after hours later. When turned on, it only lasts for 5 minutes.

All drivers were installed and re-installed, but the same problem still exists.

    Help, please.

    Hello

There are different reasons for the BSOD errors.
The BSOD may appear due to serious problems or hardware malfunction.

You can easily check if its software or hardware related problem.
Take your Toshiba Recovery disk and set the computer laptop back to factory settings.
In case this will not solve the BSOD problem, the problem is definitely caused by hardware problems.

Have you noticed a higher internal temperature?
I had a similar problem with my laptop 6 year old. Because of the dust, internal memory modules could not be cooled and this caused BSOD.
I had cleaned the cooling fans and removed the dust using a jet of compressed air.

This solved BSOD problem for awhile

First of all its user forum at
Second: read operating instructions you will find information on the recovery disc this disc must be created in the first day of buying using the preinstalled software called Toshiba Recovery Disk Creator.

    > my old toshiba satellite c660-2ef decided at the United Nations 10 months to recognize the HARD drive itself and after checking bindings cables and a good visual check, I went as far as buying a new SSD to replace the old drive as his is dead, it does not work either.

Not all SSD drives are compatible it might be a BIOS<->SSD drive compatibility issue but its certainly NOT BIOS corruption as you suggested.
Sometimes, manufacturers of SSDS offer an update of the firmware of SSD
If these updates does not resolve the SSD drive, try another disc SSD
But in general the disk SATA SSD or HDD must be supported.

You need a recovery disk you didn t he created in the past please order it here:

  • Satellite C660-24F: win 10 BSOD - system thread exception unhandled

I upgraded my Toshiba Satellite C660-24F to windows 10 pro. After the upgrade it restarts again and again showing the dead blue screen with the message
SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED. (athwbx.sys). How can I get rid of this error?

athwbx.sys which is mentioned in your message, belongs to the Atheros WLan driver...

So, I think that the BSOD appeared because of compatibility problems between the Win 10 and driver Atheros...

    Possible solution:

I think that deletion of the Atheros driver in Device Manager should help you to solve this...

Please keep the device connected to the internet using LAN.

So after uninstalling the Atheros WLan driver and you restarted the laptop, Win 10 should automatically find a driver compatible WLan to internet automatically...

  • Satellite C660 - Windows 7 64 bit BSOD after upgrade RAM

    Hi guys

    my laptop Specs: Satellite C660-1JG
    -Genuine Windows® 7 Home Premium 64-bit (pre-installed, Toshiba-HDD recovery)
    -Intel® Celeron® Processor T3500
    -2048 MB of RAM DDR3 (800 MHz).

recently I increase my RAM to 4 GB (2 + 2 GB), since its installation, as soon windows7 64 bit beginning of loading, finished with BSOD. load BSOD Windows sometimes very well, but in a minute or two appears. I can confirm that it does not read the total RAM of 4 GB, I checked while the laptop was about 2 to 3 minutes ON. then I go out 1 RAM stick laptop is fine, no BSOD!

so question raises if the RAM is at fault, incompatibility etc, but I have the dual boot OS and other OS is Ubuntu 11. who reads the 3.84 GB RAM and without crashing or BSOD or any question.

Then I installed Windos 7 32 bit to see if that still has problems with 4 GB of RAM, but NO, 32 bit reads RAM 4 GB (usable 2.8 GB). without crashing or BSOD with 32, only problem with windows 64-bit version!
I checked the specification it says Max RAM 4 GB Ram and yes it supports 4 GB RAM with Linux and win7 32-bit.

I tried to update BIOS version 1.20 (currently on 1.40), but still got error: Firmware has no support of Flash (AFUWINGUI).
I was wondering if any of you can guide me to the right direction.
    Thanks in advance
    Concerning

I can't say for sure, but perhaps BSOD due to a compatibility issue.
What RAM you bought as add-on (brand and specification)?

  • Satellite C660 stuck in an infinite loop of BSOD after upgrade to win 10

Wow what a disaster, this is a machine under windows 7-32 bit Satellite C660 PSC1GA-01E01M stuck in an infinite loop of BSOD.

The lappy said that it was ok to upgrade to windows 10 so... Yes, I did.
Now its stuck in a loop without end of BSOD.

So I decided to use the recover option and reinstall windows 7 and then move from there.
After mega downloads updates and finally got to the stage where there was no update on the left to get, so I decided to upgrade to windows 10 even once.

Now stuck in an endless loop of BSOD again.

Can someone point me to the driver who is a failure, I can get into SafeMode ok, Device Manager has 2 problems

    (1) is under OTHER DEVICES is an unknown device
    (2) is generic pnp monitor

I tried from Toshiba Web site for updates of drivers for 32-bit windows 8 thinking this could be the best step but the links are bad and the page Web said sorry loser at home...

Also no network, if I try to logging for the safe mode with networking, he returned to the screens of BSOD...

    HELP PLEASE

Toshiba has released a list with all Toshiba models supported for upgrading to Windows 10
    http://win10upgrade.Toshiba.com/swup...SPX?region=TEG

Satellite C660 PSC1GA is not in the list, which means that this model is not supported to win 10 and will not get win 10 drivers.

However the Win 10 must run on this device, because it meets the essential physical requirements.

I guess the BSOD loop arise due to some drivers which are not entirely compatible Win 10 and probably these drivers must be removed before making the Win 10 update.

To check the compatibility follow this procedure:

    • Right-click on the icon 'Get Windows 10' (on the right side of the taskbar), then click on "Check the status of your upgrade".
    • In the app to get Windows 10, click on the menu: (3 lines) and then click on "Check your PC.
    • Now you should see the list of compatibility issues

Also this kind of problem could be fixed by Microsoft update, as mentioned in this article:

  • Satellite C660 - 23 M Windows 7 hard disk error

I've only had my laptop (Satellite C660 - 23M) for three months, I started to have problems with him about a week earlier, including a time Blue Screen of Death, but I got the computer Safe Mode and did a system restored and it has been fine since then. Then earlier today, I had a Windows hard drive error, telling me to back-up and then repair or replace the hard drive. The back-up goes on an external hard drive as we speak, so fingers crosssed I can't stand to lose all my data.

I created a disk backup media when I got to the laptop but every time I tried with validation, it would fail, but in time, I don't think I should be so little time, just so created a non-validated copy and thought that would be nice (I'm now concerned!).

Should I restore my hard drive? If so, how? What has caused this? And because it is only 3 months old, am I stuck with a laptop to duff who will continue to break down on me?

    Hello

In your case, I would recommend to check the capacity of the HARD drive.
This can be done using the freeware tool called disk HARD Drive Fitness Utility.
I guess that this software can help detect HARD drive errors.

If the HARD drive would be affected, then you need to replace the HARD drive.
Here you will find a nice instruction how to do this:
    http://forums.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/forums/Ann.jspa?annID=138

the laptop seems to be covered by the warranty, if the HARD drive can be replaced under term average conditions, this can be done free of charge
I would recommend asking the ASP (partner in your country) for this HARD drive they could send you this HDD.

  • Satellite C660 - 26G - unexpected error after removing the USB

Hello all, I need help here.

I have a Satellite C660 - 26G, 2 days and a USB key has been removed from the laptop while he was working, and I think that caused a kind of corruption.

The machine starts, passes the logo and the windows, come the white loading bar along the bottom of the screen. It freezes about 1/3 of the way along and then throws an error screen indicating the following:

"Windows has encountered a problem communicating with a device connected to your computer. This error can be caused by unplugging a removable storage device, such as an external USB drive, while the disc is used... and so on... »

It says to plug it back in and restart the machine.

I tried this and always the same, I even connected on the two available ports and nothing helps, the same problem exists.

Now, the forum search, I thought of nothing else but to restore the factory settings, because they don't have has no physical disks provided with the new machine.

Use of the restart and the results of the F8 method in action and same error in the end.

    Bottom of the error screen States;

    Status: 0xc00000e9
Info: An unexpected i/o error has occurred.

    Help, please?

    > Using the reboot and the results of the F8 method in action and same error in the end.
If you are not able to get the advanced boot menu that appears by pressing F8 at the beginning of the right procedure initialization?

HM in this case, I would recommend testing new OS install could be the last resort in this case.

"Windows cannot start this hardware device because its information of configuration (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19) ».

How can I go about repairing this anomaly?

    Hey,.

It is a known issue and there are already several discussions here in the forum about error code 19 Device Manager. Toshiba has published an FAQ about this article:
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/KB0/FAQ82023A0000R01.htm

To get rid of this, you must remove the server - and lowerfilters in the Windows registry:

    1.demarrez > run > Regedit
    2. navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Class {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
    3. in the right pane, delete the "UpperFilters" key and delete the key "LowerFilters".

    Hey Buddy,

You have installed all the drivers for your laptop? Driver missing like chipset or else can cause this error.

  • Satellite C660 - 1ZM Win 7 64-bit: carpet of mouse and USB - 'code 52' driver error

    Hello

Having recently set up a new Satellite C660-1ZM running Windows 7 64 bit (upgrade from Home Premium to Ultimate) for a friend, the mouse pad and USB ports have suddenly stopped working. Pilots show an exclamation against them and the error is 'code 52' associated with the driver signing. Windows does not seem to recognize the signatures of the drivers for the published drivers that came pre-installed machine disk, so the devices do not work. I've updated the drivers (chipset Intel [which includes USB]; Synaptics touchpad) to the last published on the Toshiba web site - and we have the same problem.

By pressing F8 at startup allows you to select "disable driver signing checking" in WIndows 7 boot options, which allows the drivers and all is going well, until you restart - how you must press F8.

I think that among the many Windows updates has somehow messed up things, but we cannot prove easier than. The machine has been running for a week or two, then the mousepad suddenly stop working around August 8, 2012.

    (1) are there valid signed drivers who spend some Microsoft controls required for signature, including any controls they have potentially just imposed by some recently imposed update drivers?

    (2) does anyone know exactly how to disable the verification of signature permanently, drivers so a reboot will not require F8 key pressure and so forth?

Uninstalling the mouse pad driver and reboot gives the basic functionality of the mouse, without the skill of Synaptics. However, the USB ports don't always work because their driver does not load, so an external mouse does not work.

It's a hellish nusiance. The system of the keyboard to uninstall the drivers etc at the wheel is not fun.

    Cheers, Colin.

    Hello

Have you received the error windows cannot verify the digital signature for the drivers required for this device? This means the error code 52
Given that the USB drivers are parts of the Windows operating system, I don t think that this could be a signature issue I think that some files are damaged.

Try to uninstall/reinstall the driver and remove the unit and it s drivers in Device Manager before you reinstall.
Normally this should help, if not, well try to repair the system.

Switch on and press F8. Then choose fix my computer.
Now, choose the first option that would fix the system.
