Satellite C660 - 1ZM Win 7 64-bit: carpet of mouse and USB - 'code 52' driver error

Hello

Having recently set up a new Satellite C660-1ZM running Windows 7 64 bit (upgrade from Home Premium to Ultimate) for a friend, the mouse pad and USB ports have suddenly stopped working. Pilots show an exclamation against them and the error is 'code 52' associated with the driver signing. Windows does not seem to recognize the signatures of the drivers for the published drivers that came pre-installed machine disk, so the devices do not work. I've updated the drivers (chipset Intel [which includes USB]; Synaptics touchpad) to the last published on the Toshiba web site - and we have the same problem.

By pressing F8 at startup allows you to select "disable driver signing checking" in WIndows 7 boot options, which allows the drivers and all is going well, until you restart - how you must press F8.

I think that among the many Windows updates has somehow messed up things, but we cannot prove easier than. The machine has been running for a week or two, then the mousepad suddenly stop working around August 8, 2012.

(1) are there valid signed drivers who spend some Microsoft controls required for signature, including any controls they have potentially just imposed by some recently imposed update drivers?

(2) does anyone know exactly how to disable the verification of signature permanently, drivers so a reboot will not require F8 key pressure and so forth?

Uninstalling the mouse pad driver and reboot gives the basic functionality of the mouse, without the skill of Synaptics. However, the USB ports don't always work because their driver does not load, so an external mouse does not work.

It's a hellish nusiance. The system of the keyboard to uninstall the drivers etc at the wheel is not fun.

Cheers, Colin.

Hello

Have you received the error windows cannot verify the digital signature for the drivers required for this device? This means the error code 52
Given that the USB drivers are parts of the Windows operating system, I don t think that this could be a signature issue I think that some files are damaged.

Try to uninstall/reinstall the driver and remove the unit and it s drivers in Device Manager before you reinstall.
Normally this should help, if not, well try to repair the system.

Switch on and press F8. Then choose fix my computer.
Now, choose the first option that would fix the system.

I upgraded my Toshiba Satellite C660-24F to windows 10 pro. After the upgrade it restarts again and again showing the dead blue screen with the message
SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED. (athwbx.sys). How can I get rid of this error?

athwbx.sys which is mentioned in your message, belongs to the Atheros WLan driver...

So, I think that the BSOD appeared because of compatibility problems between the Win 10 and driver Atheros...

    Possible solution:

I think that deletion of the Atheros driver in Device Manager should help you to solve this...

Please keep the device connected to the internet using LAN.

So after uninstalling the Atheros WLan driver and you restarted the laptop, Win 10 should automatically find a driver compatible WLan to internet automatically...

  • Recovery problem Satellite L505-110 Win 7 64 bit

    Hello

I have a laptop Toshiba L505-110, Windows 7 64 bit Turkish and he began to slow down recently, so I want to recover windows 7, but in some Turkish forums, guys who have tried recover like that, facing a problem.

The problem is that Windows 7 has been set up on the computer as a 32-bit.
I had not given a dvd of the operating system of W? ndows 7 64-bit and he said that we could easily do our own recovery DVDs using toshiba recovery media creator.

I made 2 recovery DVDs, but now I'm afraid that I have Windows 7 32 bit if I recover Windows.
I bought this computer because it had windows 64-bit and I paid the price if I want to continue with it again...
It has been a year since I bought my PC.

What should I do to recover my operating system such as Windows 7 64-bit again?

Thank you very much for your answers.

    Hello

The operating system was preinstalled is WIN7 64-BIT HOME PREMIUM & you also got the 32-BIT DVD
Therefore, if you create the recovery disc, then the disc should contains Win 7 64 bit.

I think you should just grab the laptop using the recovery disk created and I think that the 64 bit, Win 7 must be installed.

Are all the drivers and compatible software in win 7 32 bit also capable in 64-bit?

    N °

You need 64-bit drivers to a 64-bit version of Windows. the 32-bit drivers do not work.

With application programs, * more * (but not all) 32-bit programs will be running under 64-bit Windows, but some mainly (games and utilities) will not.

  • Satellite M100-126 - Win 7 32 bit indicates 'only' 3 GB of memory usable

    Hello

    Here's the situation:

    I have a Toshiba satellite M100-126 (PSMA1E - 0PV021FR) running Windows 7 32 bit.
He had originally 2gigs of Ram, but after that my brother's cell phone broke down (motherboard failure) I took his 2x2gig of ram and installed in my laptop.

Initially, the BIOS detected only 3gig, so I flashed the bios than that recommended by the Toshiba Download Center, i.e. v 3.0, http://support.toshiba-tro.de/tools/eula/calleula.asp?ID=66238 direct link (if it works). There is also a version 5.6, only for Vista, but I did not use that one.

For now: the bios detects 4gigs and Windows, but windows says 'only' memory usable 3gigs.
Windows resource allocation, 1gig is 'reserved material', so this memory usable 3gig. If I replace one of the modules by a 1gig module 2 giga, I get only 2 MB of the reserved equipment, and 3 gigs installed memory are usable...

    Here are the questions now:
I am aware of the limit of memory for 32-bit systems, and that I won't be able to use the full 4gigs of anyway, but my brother got 3.5 GB of memory can be used on 32-bit system... Is it

    Hello

Win 32 bit can allocate only 3.2 GB (not 3.5 GB)
It is the limitation of all 32-bit operating systems.
I put t see any problems here the BIOS detects 4 GB of RAM. It s ok.
Windows can use 3 GB only because the other party is used by the graphics card.

The GPU can share a part of the main memory too and it also depends on the available main memory.

    Good bye

  • Satellite P755 - 11G: Win 7 64 bit - cannot activate BT after replacement of the module

    Hello

On my laptop Satellite P755, I had to replace the Wifi/Bluetooth PCI Express Mini card because the original Atheros was broken and was no longer working.

So I decided to buy a new Intel® Wireless-Dualband-AC 7260 card to replace.
    Has successfully replaced by itself.
    WiFi now works again.

Now, I'm dealing to get BT running. With the old Atheros card I could activate BT by pressing FN + F8 and choose Bluetooth from the menu of flashcard on top of the screen.

After the replacement of the F8 full option in flash cards had disappeared.
I managed to solve the problem for the WiFi by adding the ID of the new material of the card Intel (PCI VEN_8086 & DEV_08B1 & SUBSYS_40708086) in the registry in the following locations:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\TOSHIBA\ConfigFree--> InternalDevice176
    Hotkey HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\TOSHIBA\Wireless--> DevID_SupportRL175
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\TOSHIBA\WirelessAPL\BT WLANDP--> DevID_SupportRL176
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\TOSHIBA\WirelessDevice ID--> DevID_SupportRL176

Now FN + F8 works very well for the WiFi, flash cards menu appeared again.
But there is still no option to activate Bluetooth.

Addition of the BT hardware in the registry (same locations as the WiFI) ID does not help.
I can't get the point how the flash cards software manages to activate the bluetooth normally.

Does anyone have an idea what it takes to get the Bluetooth in the menu flash cards?

    My system:
    Toshiba P755 - 11G
    Windows 7 64 bit

    See you soon,.
    Alex

    Hello

You said that the original WLan module was to Atheros.
As far as I know the module Atheros WLan additional needs for the installation of the filter for the Atheros BT driver package in order to use and activate Bluetooth.

In the case of modules WLan Intel such package of filter is not necessary.

I guess the Atheros BT filter driver package is always installed on this laptop and I think this might be the reason why the BT can not be activated properly.

However, I recommend you to uninstall the filter BT mentioned driver package as well as Toshiba BT stack, driver Atheros WLan and the Toshiba value added package, and the Flash Cards Support utility. Clean the system using the CCleaner tool.

Then install the Intel driver that would control the new Intel WLan card.
Install the Toshiba BT stack and restart the device. Now follow with the installation of the Toshiba added value package and the Flash Cards Support utility. Reboot once again and check if you can use FN + F8 to activate WiFi and BT

The laptop is A300D PSAKCE. every month, I'm going to the service because it gives many flaws.
Before that, I was disappointed that the card his on my new laptop has just not record microphone, no line, no mix stereo and had to buy foreign.

What I can tell you, is that you have to tighten a little, a lot!

    Hello

I think that it is question of time s when drivers Win 7 would come out for this model.
On the European driver Toshiba page, you can find other A300D series where the Win 7 driver is already available.
You can try it on your laptop

Otherwise keep cool and wait for the drivers will be available

Currently, I used the boot on my laptop recovery mode, as my laptop computer had been infected by somesort of malware, which slows my laptop down, making it unusable, it's why I turned to recovery, after I did the restore I found that I was unable to use my laptop, it seems that the OS is missing I can't access in safe mode or normal mode and recovery option has now disappeared from the F8 menu, I'm stuck on ideas on what to do, I've only had the laptop 5 months ago and now its totally useless.

I look forward to your advice,

As far as I know the recovery disk costs about 30

But to my knowledge its always recommended to create the _recovery disk_ when you use the notebook for the first time that I read it in my user manual, so it should be mentioned in your manual too

  • Bad wireless connection made account Satellite L500-1DT (Win 7-64 bit)

    Hello

I hope someone might be able to help me with this problem. I brought a L500-1DT for my daughter elder for Christmas (and birthday) but I'm having problems with connecting to my wireless router. From his bedroom (to about 10 meters), it is luckly to get reception of 3 bars (out of five) and is wireless drop outs. This means that MSN comes at a critical time... Well she is only 16, so everything on MSN is critical.

At first, I thought it was the former wireles router (my wife has problems with her IBM laptop and the other children of their Acer laptop) so I got a new Belkin router N (150). This seems to have solved the problem with Toshiba laptops not but there are still problems with the L500-1DT. If I have the Toshiba laptop computer in the same room as the router I get 4 bars (out of 5) at best.

I checked for if ensure that there is no more recent driver updates and checked all the settings (more than once) and I'm at a loss as to what I do now. Is the defective laptop or I missed something?

    Kind regards
    The Build master

    > If I have the Toshiba laptop in the same room as the router I get 4 bars (out of 5) at best.
    4 of the 5 isn't bad Companion.
    It is ok...

But if you want, you can check if a new BIOS is available for this model of laptop...
If so, you can try to update.
In addition, you can try changing the WiFi channel. The router and the wireless network card must be on the same channel.

In the Device Manager-> properties-> Advanced tab Wlan card, you can change some settings.

    Thanks in advance.

    Akuma is right.
    You need Toshiba Bluetooth stack!

Reinstall the battery of BT and activate BT using the FN + F8
Notes; the FN + F8 control WLan too. You will need to press this combination of keys several times in order to get the BT active.

N ° there is no need to go to a command line and it is not all the DOS commands that will help.

Consider using the Windows system restore to return the operating system of your laptop to a date before the start of this issue. Choose a restore point dated before the redone problem surface. Use the charm of the search and the type of restore. Select create a restore point. The System Properties window appears. Click System Restore, as shown in the following image.

Make sure that the option to Show me the restore points more has a check mark in the box. Choose the restore point that you want, and then click Next. It is safe and reversible.

  • No Audio device and Audio HDA Bus Driver Error Win XP SP3

    Hello

I'm running a put together computer, with Windows XP SP3. I've recently accidentally got rid of my sound on my computer, eliminating the bad program in Add/Remove programs. I know that my computer is running Intel (r) 82801 AA AC 97 Audio Control. So I went to the thought of their site, I had deleted the drivers and audio devices. I downloaded the current driver, but this has not fixed the problem even with an update. So I went hunting online and found this link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9idzHNWZLP0

, thinking maybe that would help me even though I am not a user real tek (have intel of course). But he said that it is compatible with windows xp. I tried downlaoding it and got the error: "could not complete the installation: missing Audio HDA Bus driver.

So now, it seemed to me, I had not only a mistake, but two. I tried to download a driver of Bus HDA, but this failed. I tried to look in the Device Manager to see if there was a red or yellow marker next to my audio devices and maybe they needed to be reinstalled. Showing a problem there, he said nothing everythign was working properly. I tried to use Soundmax audio driver as well, but who was also discussed with the bus driver error. I also went to http://noaudiodevice.com , and these solutions do not work either because I was not faced with a problem of yellow or red marker. I also did this off stupidly deletling the bad thing no one updated.

I'm almost at a loss at this point and was way over my head to start.
I could really use some help. I know that my computer when I had one month ago second hand but wiped off, had run soundmax. If you need more information about my computer or screen shots please let me know. I looked at the subjects here, and none seem to adapt to this situation for me.

Did you get the specific drivers for your motherboard?
If this isn't the case, remember to search the downloads specific to what you have.
