Bubble protected inner IP routing

We recently re - ip had our network and are now using several VLANs within our production (protected) network.  Front of re - ip'ing, we had a dish network (1 vlan)

Since the re - ip initiative, we have not conducted a SRM test for one of our groups.  Within our groups, virtual machines are all different VLAN.

When we realize a SRM test and failover to the protected bubble, someone can think of a way that we can perform the routing to the protected bubble breast so all virtual machines, which are on different subnets, can still communicate with the other IP?

Thanks in advance

Sorry about that.

However, there is a list of devices to virtual router on the vmware site.  Maybe one of them can help you do what you're trying to do.

http://www.VMware.com/appliances/directory/cat/0?k=router

Also, I should mention that if the VMS need to communicate between hosts, they should have an uplink to the physical switch.

Fortunately, if you're trunking this virtual router uplink will manage the rest.  Just don't have the virtual router have a default gateway.  You want the router to "route" traffice between your virtual machines in the network of bubbles, but you won't be able to connect to your production site.

I hope this helps.

Good luck!

  • How can I connect a cisco router to the internet via a cable modem / router gateway

I have searched here but can't find the exact answer that I'm looking. I have a switch and a router cisco 1760 2950. The router has an added ethernet wic card so I have two ethernet connections available. I would like to connect the cable modem gateway the router through one of the connections on the router, then the switch ethernet. I can't get this configuration to work. There are several different ways, I saw displayed to accomlish. DHCP, without dhcp, creating a separate network and giving the e0/0 cable an ip address in the range of addresses network gateways. None of this has worked. Can someone after the commands that must be entered on the router to make this possible?

Hello, I'm assuming that your ISP is to give addresses via DHCP...

And I suppose also we want to implement our router DHCP in our local network to give our PCs and laptops etc...

So what we need to do is:

    conf t

    !

    interface e0/0

    Description # INTERNET #.

    IP access-group MY_WAN in

    DHCP IP address

    NAT outside IP

    !

    MY_WAN extended IP access list

    allow tcp any a Workbench

    refuse TCP a whole

    allow an ip

    !

IP nat inside source list MY_LAN interface e0/0 overload

    !

    IP dhcp excluded-address 192.168.1.0 192.168.1.99

    !

    dhcp MY_LAN IP pool

    network 192.168.1.0 255.255.255.0

    default router 192.168.1.1

    Server DNS 8.8.4.4 8.8.8.8

In this configuration, I applied an ACL for a protection to my router and my network to allow only established connections that Ive from my LAN to return to me. Anyone who tries to open a connection to your router will be refused. Everything is allowed. But you can change this option to be more specific rather than wide.

On your switch, if you leave all ports in the vlan 1 and have as access ports, it should work.

    Hope this helps

  • Printer Wi - Fi doesn't work anymore?

Long story short, disconnected all the plugs and surge protector to move to a new office. My Canon PIXMA MX490 printer wireless connected & work until April 7, 2016, but when I tried to print something the next day I got this:

"Support the Code 300 printer is not responding. Make sure the printer is connected, power on and properly connected to your computer.

I've looked everywhere, in the systems & Information, preferences but couldn't find any connected printer! Finally I managed to 'Add' the printer to systems preferably, but still cannot print and still get this message Code 300! So I called Mac help & Cannon on the no detection / connection problem, neither could help. So I called Verizon [internet] and they say that the "Code 300" is a Mac code, not theirs.

When I try to use the Canon ij utility, shows the series of MX490, but says he has 'not supported"what? I tried for 4 days to connect the printer to the router Wi - Fi, the computer, looking at manuals, videos, redownload the dmg to the printer, even manually typing my name 'Net' on the printer display, and then using the 'Mac name' shown on the printer. Nada!  Zilch!  AMMARI! . . . Help me please?

Second - someone can tell me how to "secure" my Wi - Fi? My daughter says that having unprotected before [it]. What is the WPA/WPA2 Personal under secruity & how to do a "secure" network name is not.

Grazie thousand [thanks lot] in advance

Assuming that the iMac, and the printer are on the same network

Turn off the printer for a minute or two

Then it starts - it can get a new IP address.

Then try to add in the region of  - system preferences - printers - see if it works

With regard to the securing of the WiFi - your child is correct - you should

WPA stands for WiFi Protected Access - your router should have instructions on how to set up or you can call technical support for your router

Or you can post the brand and model (nothing else) of your router and someone can walk you through it

  • How can I connect to someone who is hacking my network?

How can I connect to someone who is hacking my network?

    Hi Frank,.

What kind of network - your internet connection?  your intranet from home or the office (and it is wireless or wired or both)?  An ad - hoc network or a network based on the domain server (and if the latter, what type of server)?  The network hosts a web site, an exchange server that is accessible by internet, or also allowed incoming connections?  How many computers is on the network and what are the current use operating systems and who do you think are presented?  If you use a router, is protected by a router security identifier unique and a password (no admin / admin or other default standard settings, everyone knows) and a unique key and what type of security type (WPA, WPA2,...) and what type of encryption code?  This can be verified by the computer and others need to be checked or enabled via the router you can reach most likely through your browser by typing 192.168.1.1 where you would normally enter a URL.  If this isn't the correct code, then see below for IPCONFIG and would probably be the address that you want as the gateway by default and possibly the address of the DHCP server or the DNS server address as well and use what is there instead.  What type of method of internet access (DSL, cable, Satellite,...)?

How do you know if that someone is hacking your system?  What evidence do you have that it happens or happened?  How do you think that piracy happens - happens through your connections in real-time (as if someone used a remote access or remote desktop) or it occurs because you seem to see the proof of it (if so, what evidence)?  I am trying to determine if a person has a path in your system directly or whether you are infected with malware that allows a periodic access or 'appear' as you are being hacked, when you are just infected.

Do you notice it when it is real or only later after it occurred?  What exactly is the pirate make - information collection, change of information, install programs, remove programs or information, theft of bandwidth, or you are not sure and don't know exactly?  This happens only when you are connected to the internet or does it also occur when you are not connected and just using the computers and devices that are other interconnected?  If it isn't when it is connected to the internet, which helps limit the possibilities.

If you are present and it's ongoing, click on start / all programs / accessories / right-click on command prompt and click Run as administrator.  Then type IPCONFIG/all and enter.  Which should display all connections to your computer, and if anyone is connected, this connection must appear, as well as login information and include information such as address TCP/IP (which may be useful to know).  Create a capture image or printscreen of the information.

If you use Vista or Windows 7, go to start / Control Panel / Network and sharing Center / discover computers and devices.  Is there a link that doesn't seem right or that you don't recognize?  Come back and click on manage network connections.  Are there connections that you don't recognize?  If so, click on them and learn what you can about the properties and other information - create a capture of information or save a printscreen image.

You use the Windows Firewall and is it activated and functioning?  Open and check exceptions and remove the items that you do not use or do not need - by default adds a lot of things that most people do not use. and everyone is a path in your system.  The less open ports, the better.  Do not remove everything you really need, but uncheck everything you don't need (you can always add it back later if the need ever happens).

It's just a start on what to do to gather information.  I need the results and answers to give additional advice on what to do next - depending on what you have to say.

Most likely, we will be able to best prevent access or possibly with the help of your ISP and the ISP of the hacker TCP/IP address (if we find the it), be able to identify who it is and stop it or help you gather enough information take legal or security action against the person or persons responsible.  Ago probably pirates out there that can do what you're tempted, but also provides methods of hacking (and that is basically what YOU want to do) is not something we support or help someone to do here.  To help you protect your system is one thing and we'll do what we can to help here - teach you how to hack the somone who is hacking you is quite another and we will not be involved in this.

In the meantime, in case there is an infection as opposed to a direct hacking, update and run a full scan with any security software you use.

  • Bridge on E1200 mode disable security?

    Hello

I just bought a router E1200 and used to extend my Verizon FIOS router, so I can join webcams to my my network to view remotely.

I have configured the E1200 to be a router bridge and he was given an IP address from my main router. I plugged in the camera and it works... I can access the camera using the video software and my iPhone...

However, when I have the router in bridged Mode, the Security tabs became invalid as he said. And I can connect to the router using my iPhone but never invites a password as my main router.

In Bridge mode, is the WiFi encryption turned off?  I hard connected to my main router from Lan to LAN...

    Thank you

    Harold

If the FIOS router is your main router and your hardware firewall that protects everything behind it. Put the E1200 in Bridge mode will work fine because you are protected by the router upstream from FIOS. If the devices behind the FIOS router get IP address private in ranges below then you are protected at least by NAT.

    192.168.x.x

    172.16.x.x

    10.x.x.x

IPv6 is more complex, but if the FIOS router has a firewall SPI allowed that they are good.

  • Linksys WRT160n SPI Firewall

I recently installed a Linksys WRT160n mainly to its advantage as a hardware firewall. I chose the wireless router because I intend to buy a laptop later. In the meantime, since I don't need wireless, I disabled the it. This router always provide firewall protection to my PC with the wired connection until I SPI Firewall Protection enabled?

    Thanks for help.  Alton

The WRT is NAT that will make your inaccessible since the internet LAN unless you configure port forwarding, port triggering, DMZ or compatible UPnP host. The SPI Firewall protects especially the router.

  • 313w printer has left

I have a 313w printer that has stopped printing.  Window opens indicating 'impression', but nothing happened.  After several attempts, I tried the new facility.  Now, I can't even the printer to work with usb cable (nothing happens, although says "printing"), and shows that the wireless orange light. I do not have the Wi Fi Protected button on router (it does not), so I'm lost how to get this printer is installed and working.  The printer refers to the method of the PIN, but I do not know where to enter that info. Any ideas?  Thank you.

Problem solved.   Apparently uninstall doesn't remove all.  Has gone through the list and there was an another listed 313. Once who has been uninstalled, everything went well.  TX for you time.

  • Loadbalancing VMkernel Uplink for NFS

    Hello everyone,

I'm organizing a larger facility with ethernet base storage NetApp NFS.

On the picture you can see my network design. What is the best way to configure vmkernel ports to use the two vmnic (8 and 10)?

EtherChannel / LACP between host and first switch 'instance' is not possible because the switches do not support this (HP VirtualConnect).

My fear is that, in my first setup scheduled

VMkernel Portgroup - > 1 VMkernel (192.168.1.201)-> uplink: vmnic8, vmnic10 (based on the virtual port ID)

All NFS traffic will pass through vmnic8, without worrying how can stores NFS I use. Or good vmnic8 used for the vmdk file 1, vmnic10 for a vmdk file 2, vmnic8 for the vmdk file 3 and so forth?

How many times the NFS connection road is calculated?

Will be 'Route based on the physical load of NIC' work for me?

    Thank you

    Marcel Mertens

    Mehdi says:

Will be 'Route based on the physical load of NIC' work for me?

No, it will not help here, it might be useful with virtual switches with many VM and they could be rearranged at certain intervals if necessary.

How many times the NFS connection road is calculated?

It will be only once, according to the inner IP routing table.

VMkernel Portgroup-> VMkernel 1 (192.168.1.201)-> Uplink: vmnic8, vmnic10 (based on the virtual port ID)

All NFS traffic will pass through vmnic8, without worrying how can stores NFS I use. Or good vmnic8 used for the vmdk file 1, vmnic10 for a vmdk file 2, vmnic8 for the vmdk file 3 and so forth?

No, it will not use differnet vmnic for different vmdk files. The best way for you would be to create two NFS data warehouses and export through two addresses different IP on different IP subnets. Create two interfaces Vmkernel on the same vSwitch (with a key vmk on each subnet), and then connect them to the vmnic in settings of an active / standby. Do you use two vmnic simultaneously and also provide fault tolerance.

  • Must use MERGE, COPY or UPDATE to restore data

    Database:
    Oracle9i Enterprise Edition Release 9.2.0.4.0 - 64 bit Production
    PL/SQL Release 9.2.0.4.0 - Production
    CORE Production 9.2.0.3.0

    Problem:
I messed up a field incorrectly updating a subset of records that should not be touched. We can not easily restore the domain, due to the backup procedure we use.

Another way to solve the problem, I want to copy the values of the Master Routing Table and place on the work order routing table.
So, theoretically, we can have 100 separate masters who serve to up to 1,000 records to date in the other table.

I can't use the standard update to do this, and I couldn't properly queries using nested in an update statement. I also have problems with the help of a merger.
This problem is not unique (I'm sure) so I need to know what I'm doing wrong.

    Help, please.

I believe that the only difference in 9i (I'm on 10g) is that WHEN WITHOUT MATCHING clause is mandatory and not optional.

This is why you want to code as follows:

    drop table RMT;
    drop table WORT;

    create table RMT as
select 101 rout_key, 20 val from dual UNION ALL
select 102 rout_key, 10 val from dual UNION ALL
select 103 rout_key, -30 val from dual UNION ALL
    select 104 rout_key, 80 val from dual;

    create table WORT as
    select 1 pk_id, 101 rout_key, 0 val from dual UNION ALL
    select 2 pk_id, 101 rout_key, 0 val from dual UNION ALL
    select 3 pk_id, 102 rout_key, 0 val from dual UNION ALL
    select 4 pk_id, 102 rout_key, 0 val from dual UNION ALL
    select 5 pk_id, 103 rout_key, 0 val from dual UNION ALL
    select 6 pk_id, 103 rout_key, 0 val from dual UNION ALL
    select 7 pk_id, 105 rout_key, 0 val from dual;

    alter table WORT modify pk_id NOT NULL;

    merge into WORT
    USING (select WORT.pk_id, RMT.val
           from RMT, WORT
           where RMT.rout_key = WORT.rout_key) tmp
    on (WORT.pk_id = tmp.pk_id)
    when matched then
    update
      set WORT.val = tmp.val
    when not matched then
      insert (WORT.pk_id,
              WORT.rout_key,
              WORT.val)
      values (NULL,
              NULL,
              NULL);

    select * from WORT;

Because our USING clause represents a join between the tables, it will never be a WHEN NOT MATCHED in terms. So put us in a dummy INSERT with all NULL values. I added some data to show that even with the lines without correspondence nothing will be inserted and a NOT NULL constraint on pk_id just to show that it is not checked.

  • Netgear router disabled the password protect and I can't put it back on!

For some reason any my router is no longer protected by Word. I downloaded the app genius of netgear and it shows the password in it. However, even if I change it my other devices connect without requiring a password and the connection is not the small lock on what shows that it is a secure device.

I can't find any way to activate power. Can someone help me please!

I changed the name and the password several times this way and it still showed it as non-secure. Finally, it crashed and I couldn't even get it to connect to the internet at all.

My solution was to order a new router NETEAR update, I received, installed and am looking forward to the updated version.

Thanks for your help and advice. I guess that my router is just tired!

  • a router monitor can display of my purchases in a site like eBay password protected?

a router monitor can display of my purchases in a site like eBay password protected? If not, what exactly can a router monitor (on another computer), discovered on my wireless laptop? Thanks in advance for any help with this issue!

    Hello

    1. which version of the Windows operating system is installed on the computer?

    2. What is the exact application you're talking about?

Router monitor is a tool that allows you to control the router that you are connected to and see the other IP connected as well as other important details.  He usually don't know the details on a Web page he's been watching just the traffic lights. However, some routers have the ability to connect what websites is visited and how much time is spent and how much bandwidth has been used.

Therefore, you can also contact the manufacturer of the software for more details on the subject.

I want to put in place access invited to my router E2000, but only for a few friends, not my entire neighborhood. When I created originally by Cisco Connect, I was able to set up an account with a password, but it shows up in my registration non-secure wireless - you don't need the password to access. Is there a way to password protect the connection without comment thread?

Yes, it does not appear to be unsafe, but in order to be able to surf you need generates the Cisco Connect password.

So no, it is not open, but I think they are always connected to the router, and that's not good either.
