    Hello

When I run a certain business rule it takes a long time and then up the message = >

"Business rule execution time exceeded the configured maximum wait times. Business rule will now be running in the background. To check the status of the execution of business rule, open the page of the Console to work. »

I opened the console work - navigate / manage / Console library work - but I can't find anything; even when you look at a hidden jobs - but limited to myself...

Is he referring to another console work, if so someone can tell me where I can see the result of the business running rule?

    Thank you

    Robert.

His reference to the same console to work. You can check if the rule has made the change expected in the data.
    If you're 11.1.1.2?
How long this rule usually take to run?

To work this issue autour, you extend the value of timeout for business rules.

    1. Select Administration, then manage the properties.
2 Select the Application properties to define the properties and values for a planning application.
    3. Add the property by clicking Add, entering the property in the empty line, you enter a value in the property
    Value for both of these.
    -HBR_MAX_WAIT_FOR_RULE
    -HBR_MONITOR_DELAY
Values for the two columns must be defined in milliseconds.
    4 restart Planning server services.

Please refer to the Guide to planning administrator for details on the properties of manage.

    Also, take a look on:

  • Business rule Timeout 11.1.2.3

    Hi all

When running business in 11.1.2.3 rule (calc Manager, of course), we get the timeout message «time of Business rule execution a...» »

"Basically, we can set the time-out in the" ""mod_wl_ohs.conf " in the folder" "D:\oracle\Middleware\user_projects\epmsystem1\httpConfig\ohs\config\OHS\ohs_component" "

    OR

We can define it in the properties of planning right?

Is there something different in 11.1.2.3?

or what I mentioned should work?

    Thanks for any input.

    Thank you

So the business rules are run in the background, could be useful to consider the following properties - Setting Background Processing

  • The way a var as argument works do not (business rule)

I tried to create a business rule that is able to say the amount of weeks between two dates, the post Re: behavior of days between two dates here has been very useful, but not everything works as expected.

In the functions @JgetStringFromDouble (d2,@_false,@_false), if I write @JgetStringFromDouble (22,@_false,@_false)and use the static numbers for all the arguments, the business rule works without any problem. But if I try to run it with a var it validates correctly, but when the business rule execution it displays an error "error detected while trying to perform the work: DateDifference.

In environmental assessments in the application log, I get the following messages:

Failed to provision form/Conversion of date with the Code [37]

Formula runtime error for [* BLOCK MEMBER of the post *]: status code in function [@TODATAEEX] [1200664]

    Transaction [0 x 130009 (0x5450fcfe.0x30958)] abandoned due to the State [1200664].

Is there a workaround, or is there something I'm not? The only thing that prevents the code Re: behavior of days between two dates here to work, is that it won't work with a variable. Is there another way to pass the value of the variable to the function?

Someone at - it an idea?

    Thank you!

If you the GestionnaireCalc patch for more late then you will get 20 date functions and one is @CalcMgrWeeksBetween

  • Business rule shows is not the result

When I'm in a business rule execution, it runs successfully, but it doesn't show any result. But when I enter that specific cell where the BR must calculate the amount any amount, then run the BR and then he shows me the required result. What can be the reason for this?

    We are on 11.1.2
and im making BRs via Calc Manager (Office Assistant)

    Published by: ar_aff on March 24, 2011 21:56

I think that's the entire problem (a cell value) block. The BR cannot open the block automatically. In BR sorce usually used a command Set Createnonmissngblk before calculating the value.

  • Launch of business rules

    Hi all
I am using the EPM 11 system and have created a classic planning application. I created two rules of trade for the calculation of the data in the dataforms (by the business rules in the environmental assessments).
It is a must to start business rules with each restart of services, and whenever we access the dataforms which Br was applied?

    Any help will be appreciated...

    Thank you and best regards,

    Hello

You have no need to launch the business rule every time that you restart the services, the data will be held in essbase and will have to recalculate when necessary, so you only need to recalculate the data if it changes for example the changes are entered in forms.

  • Business deployment Date & time rule

    Hi all

Can we know if a business rule is deployed or not, including the date for the deployment and the? It must be available in RDBMS I think.

As I tried a query that selects all the business rules and display created, modified and moved the date and time.

The problem is that the period provided for the result of the query do not match if we access the same rule through the workspace-> feeder calco-> application specified-->--> specified plan type and the name of the rule

    The query is

    Select * from
    hsp_object ho
    where ho. OBJECT_TYPE = 115

  • How to change the values of business rule at run time?

    Hello

I'm using Oracle 11g SOA. I did a BPEL process that uses Business Rule. Now the BPEL process is deployed with business rules so how to change the value of the business @runtime rule. I don't want to change the value @design time and deploy the code again.

Is there a console or the portal? as Oracle BAM has own url? What is the url of Business Rule Manager?

    Thank you

Can you check is the deployment of "composer" is in Active state.

In the weblogic administration console, navigate to Environment--> Servers--> SOA_SERVER1--> Deployments (tab) on the left side of the menu.

    Thank you

  • Amendment to the execution of business rules

Hi is there any place where the customer can modify the runtime business rules? I don't want to implement BR in the code, I want to make it dynamically.

You can use the SOA composer to do the same thing...

    URL: http: / /:/soa/composer.

  • Oracle business rule editor/designer as a stand-alone web application

    Hi all

I want to use the engine of trade rules Oracle on non_soa J2EE application with weblogic server.i found my solution in this doc http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E28271_01/user.1111/e10228/non_soa.htm#ASRUG828

But I want to have my business rule editor/designer as a stand-alone web application for the use of analysts to create the new rule, modify existing and... .without deployment main editing application and rules affected on app at runtime.

    Can I do it?

    Thank you.

    Fazel.

Check the functionality of the SOA composer where you can manage the rules and make them deployable to the execution of composites and applications that use the rules.  You may need to develop the first time within Jdev but you can edit and change them in SOA composer.  You can find the composer SOA in your local installation to http://hostname:soaPort/soa/composer /

  • Initialized the planning application, but can not see business rules (scripts).

    Hi all

I'm new to Hyperion and would greatly appreciate your help. I created a classic application planning White (11.1.1.3) and initialized Capex planning (Edition-> initialize capex), then created and updated database so that it appears in Essbase too. I can see the application in essbase and planning, I see the forms of data and dimensions, formula member... etc. When I opened a data form it shows me downstairs left business rules and that I can run them and select execution prompts. But when I go to the calculation Manager and select the same application, see the actual scripts, how it is designed (essentially wants to learn scripts are created, calculation and all functions) under the rules and scripts, I don't see scripts anywhere. I have tried this 4 - 5 times by creating charges new application (I also tried the workforce planning and the same problem) with a plan type, more than 1 type of plan but its market not now. Can someone please help me from your experience what could I be missing and why his watch now.

Thank you for your help in advance.

Should have displayed the Manager queries calc in calc forum (https://forums.oracle.com/forums/category.jspa?categoryID=519)
If you right click the application node in the Manager of calc, have you a menu to load rules presets?

  • Planning of business rules

    Hello

I have a question regarding the planning of business rules (one night). (Version 11.1.2.0)

I have a few business rules with which I associated data forms so that users can run in real time. They run in under a minute, which is pretty good. I used guests from the time of execution in my business rules and have selected the option 'Members of the use of the form' in planning and hid the guests so that the user should not have to enter the information.

Now, I want to set the same rules of business to run from one day to the next day, just in case if the user forgets to run them by chance. Since I've used those organized times will prompt variables who drop out members of the form - can I plan yet somehow racing from one day to the next?

Could someone please share the information on how to plan rules trade or if someone could share a link on what would be a help.

    Please let me know.
    ~ Hervé

Yes, it is possible to program, for business rules, you have the CmdLnLauncher utility and for Calc Manager you have the CalcMgrCmdLineLauncher utility.

  • Automatic email after regular business rule enforcement

    Hi all

We have some administrative rules that will be scheduled on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. Our requirement is that every time when a scheduled business rule is executed an email is sent to the administrator (by specifying the name of BR and execution time). Can someone tell us how is it possible?

    We are on 11.1.2

    Thanks in advance.

    Kind regards.

It may be useful to have a read of:-http://john-goodwin.blogspot.com/2009/02/idea-for-this-blog-originates-from-post.html
Another possibility, if you plan to command line is to use the command-line without email utility for example blat.

  • Prevent the business rule to run simultaneously

    Hi all

We are on Hyperion Planning 11.1.1.3.500. One of our business rules makes the system completely meaningless with its results when some users are running at the same time. A person must have been necessary a HBR not to run when it is already running. I need your suggestions to avoid the business rule to run simultaneously.

    Thank you

    Hello

    • tell users check the console to work first, before you run the rule.

    or

    • have a member of the system in your dimension that you can use as a flag. You set it to 1 as the beginning of the rule to indicate he runs, 0 / #Missing at the end of the rule to indicate is finished. You then add a @RETURN to leave the calculation if this flag is set to 1 in your rule. Just be careful about this because if for any reason the calculation fails, or is killed by an admin then your flag is set to 1, but you can still have a form of admin to reset these flags easily if necessary.

  • Planning of business rule

I need to write a business rule to calculate the difference of version 1 and version 2 and copy this difference to version 3 for all data at the level of zero for all the periods of a year, including the opening balance. Can someone help me

You could have elaborated more on your version of Hyperion, you're on and and what are your basic needs. (is this a a time point, it is something that must be considered at all times).

A very simple approach (without having to deal with a business rule) be fair would create a member of the dynamic version with an e.g (@VAR (VERSIOn1, Version2)) formula member. Again only once, you know the design of your application, as well as the details around your needs so you should test to see if the option is possible.

Others on the Board of Directors will give more information on approaches using some business rule approaches (e.g. VERSIOn3 = Version1 and Version2 ;) who would be most effective.

I hope that the option has been useful for you and let us know how make you out.
