Buying laptop in the United States to bring home to the r - u. United States warranty will cover me?
Hi guys,.
I got a Toshiba laptop, I want to buy while on vacation in California, for home use in Britain.
I am just wondering if the laptop developed a defect under warranty, I would be able to get support for it in the United Kingdom, or should I return it to the store I bought in California to be repaired?
I could get a Dell similar spec for just a little more money, and I think I can return the Dell to the United Kingdom if purchased in the United States.
Is anyone able to shed some light on this for me? I'd rather have the Toshiba on the Dell.
Sorry if this has been asked a million times, I tried to use the search function but that she could not get anything relevant.
Thank you
Phil
Of course, I m not 100% sure, but I think that Toshiba doesn t have an old international interest more so I think that the American guarantee will not cover you in the United Kingdom, but for this you must ask Toshiba WE.
What you can also do is ask that the Forum of US, just to be sure of this - http://forums.toshiba.com/t5/Laptops/ct-p/c_laptops/tshb
If you get more information please let us know.

They replaced the "defective wires" that caused some of my keys to do no work. When it came to the keys does not, it's a 50-50 chance sometimes they worked perfectly and other times that they would not work. I back my laptop yesterday but I have experienced the same keys not work - they finally started working again, but I will return to Boston for college next week and my applecare warranty is up Sept. 4. My question is will take apple my laptop back and fix what they don't apparently fixed the first time, even if my applecare is released or do I need to rush ALL THE WAY back to apple to drop it again. the only reason why I want to wait is because I want to see if it happens again, I did an update and it looks good, but if it happens again I want to be fixed correctly.
It is not completely repaired to your satisfaction. Immediately call Apple Care or bring your Apple Store. Nobody here can answer your questions. Apple can only respond.
Good day.

Can I buy CC in the United States and use it in Europe?
I work in part to the United States and in part here in Europe. There is such a disparity in price it is interesting of my buying members of the CC, in Los Angeles, putting on my laptop, it helps the United States and placing it on my desktop PC when I come back here. I can do this, or is there some kind of 'recognition' regional? Do I need two memberships?
Hi Nick
You must register using an Adobe ID & credit card that is registered in the same country. When you have done this, it is possible to use the membership if you travel to a different country.

I have a Dell Inspiron 1501. There is a kind of cable I can buy to transfer the information from my main computer to my laptop?
Hello
Of course, you can use a USB drive, CD or DVD to transfer the data.
Or use an easy transfer cable system.

This allows you to network the computers if you wish.
To connect two computers with a cable, not a router, it must be a crossover cable. These
are special cables, but they are not expensive.Connect two computers using a crossover cable (XP - Windows 7 may be the same)

Hi, I am planning on buying a laptop and the need to have the programs installed in the laptop, I am able to use this account or I will have to go and buy the programs all over again
with one single-user subscription cc, you can install programs Office app and cc cc on an unlimited number of pc and mac computers.
(you can only sign on, at most, two computers at once, but even that isn't a drawback for a single user.)
-
If I buy the adobe cc then can I use it on several laptops at the same time? I use two different computers for my work. as one for photoshop and Illustrator for example.adobe
This excerpt from: terms of conditions of use Adobe software should help to clarify the terms for you:
..... You can activate the software on up to 2 devices (or virtual machines) at the same time, if these activations are associated with the same Adobe ID for the same person, except http://www.adobe.com/go/activation_fr. However, you cannot use the software on these devices simultaneously.

Hello:
Here is the link to the service manual for your laptop:
http://h10032.www1.HP.com/CTG/manual/c01295900.PDF
Wireless cards supported with HP part numbers are in Chapter 3 begins on page 18.
You can buy only one card in the manual and it must have the part number HP on it or it won't work.
These cards are country specific, so make sure you buy one with the number of the right part for the right location.
The best thing to do is to remove your card, get the part number and order this way.
You can buy used but tested and functional cards on eBay through your search by part number. Don't look for the model number.
Or you can buy new from the store part of HP on the link below. Enter the reference number of the card wireless in the appropriate box.
If you do not live in the United States, you can change your country at the top of the page.

2. Yes, you can switch to the DSS, nothing prevents you to do this. Your machine now has 500 GB, you can update to the same size (capacity) or more. Samsung 850 evo series SSD is a hot cake at this point.
Kind regards.

I just bought a new laptop, mac pro 13 Inc. with retina book model no A1502, exactly on the day set-aside, it broke because my classmate accidentally jostled and he fell to the ground, the screen had a crack, I went to the store to ask for help, they just said to buy a new I felt so bad, what should I do?
There should be a possibility outside replacement in the event of accidental damage warranty. Go to this store and ask them if there is any chance to get out of warranty repair.

Why should I buy Toshiba in the future?
I would like to ask what is the point of buying the Toshiba for the future? What should motivate me? I know that their laptops are pretty cheap prices for the products that they understand, but with such terrible support?
I have the Qosmio F50-125. I bought it 3 years ago. As I bought, taking PILOT was TERRIBLE. For example every 3 years, they released 1 single DRIVER for the video! 1 ONLY! To 07/28/08 (for Vista).
Of course, there is a 'New' driver for windows 7 from 2009. But that's all! When you buy a product, you expect to have good support. Especially when guaranteed Toshiba is "matter of 1 year what + 3 years warranty abroad". You expect to have at least 3 years support when you get a 3 years warranty, but no, they update the drivers for the 1st year and that's it!
+ All new updates (which are 2, 3, for Bluetooth and wireless) are for Windows 7. This laptop is initially sold with Windows Vista. Nowhere says that if there is an option for the upgrade. I called and asked Toshiba if I can update (if it offers this service) and they responded that they do not know! Still no answer... And if you download drivers on the page of the developers (nvidia in my case) the guarantee falls of!
So when you buy Toshiba you get:
Benefits:
-1 year no - matter what guarantee + 3 years warranty abroad
-Cheat relatively good price laptopDisadvantages:
-NO SUPPORT DRIVER
N ' is not allowed to open the computer or give it to any business to be cleaned to avoid HEAT problems, except Toshiba
-Many programs of Toshiba, who defects to your system, one of them Toshiba Tempro - totally uselessWhen I bought this laptop it encrypted 1015 euro. Not the cheapest, but certainly not the expensive class. Now I think to buy a laptop for 1000-1500 euros. Will I lose the money for Toshiba?
Buy a new computer in the high-end, have supported only for the first year and after 2 years, having the same problem? If I bought it only for study and work, all this would not matter to me. But I use it to create music, graphic designs and play in the spare time.
P.S. I love my laptop, 3 years and still runs great. Photoshop, Fruity Loops, everything works well, + I can't even play Skyrim and Modern Warfare 3. But the design of the terrible air flow. It is build in such a way that each 3.4 months you must clean, to prevent the temperature of the GPU + 100. Normal is 90 ;) I think it is quite bad.
With regard to the display driver support:
I agree with you, the drivers of graphics card for gaming laptops should be published and updated regularly because most of the new games require the latest version of the driver.
But I noticed also, that other manufacturers of portable display drivers are not updated regularly and in most cases, the use of original pages manufacturing GPU graphics drivers is necessary.> Is not allowed to open the computer or give it to any business to be cleaned to avoid HEAT problems, except Toshiba
I think that all manufacturers of computer/computer laptop don t allow to open and disassemble clean products. This is because the procedure of disassembly is always delicate and there is a risk of damage to the part. I think it's understandable...
> Many programs of Toshiba, making mistakes in your system, one of them Toshiba Tempro - totally useless
I noticed that each laptop manufacturing install tools and utilities in order to control the features of the laptop. The point is that computers laptops are different to the common fund s PC and portable support a large number of additional features: Eco modes, multimedia keys, additional power saving features, security options for HARD disk, etc.
So a pre-installed software isn't really a drawback, but of course, you can remove it from the system but this means that you would not be able to use these features.

Hi all
I am looking at buying a machine to re-furb.
HP ENVY 17-N078CA laptop
The machine has windows 8.1 and I wanted to know if there was problems with upgrade to windows 10.
Hello;
Let me welcome you on the HP forums!
I read your post about upgrading your PC to Win10 and wanted to help. While HP has not tested your PC with Win10 and has not certified it will work, the good news is that HP does not provide drivers for your PC Win10: http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-envy-17-n000-notebook-pc-touch/7777355/model/8429748#Z7_3054ICK0K8UDA0AQC11TA930O2
If this page does not display the windows 10 when you open it, then click Edit and select Windows 10 in the menu drop-down.
Unfortunately, the Win10 GoBack function is NOT reliable, and that can leave you with a corrupt machine that will require the factory reset and lose all that on it, to get it working again.
You can avoid this by making an image backup to an external hard drive or a USB drive using Macrium reflect (MR), which provides a FREE version that can be used to image and restore partitions or drives together.
What I recommend is the following:
(1) download and install Macrium reflect (MR)
(2) run M. and choose the option: "Create an image of the partition (s) required to backup and restore Windows" to write a full backup to an external drive or USB key
(3) use the option to create a CD or a USB startup key
NOW, you have the means to restore a full system that works for the external hard drive or USB key in a few minutes.Good luck
I'm a volunteer and I do not work for, or represent, HP.

Tried to upgrade from 8.1 to win to win 10 via Windows Update and got BSOD/reboot cycle with error on page iastorav.sys. Envoy for HP laptop and it has been recreated to win 8.0 State of origin to the 2 years ago. The best way to proceed from here? My main options appear to be:
1. download and install updates Windows 188. I don't like that it take ages and a large number of concurrent updates may cause problems (in my experience).
2. restore the System Image which I saved before you perform the upgrade to win 10 previously. I fear that this may make me just back from the problem that caused the failure in the first place.
3. update the drivers and do a clean 10 Windows Installer from USB. I think it would probably be the best option. I have all my old documents backed up elsewhere.
I am especially looking forward to having good drivers Intel rapid storage (iastorav.sys) and also the right drivers and Setup to start quickly in Intel technology. My laptop has a hybrid SSD/HDD.
My key to win 8 is integrated on the motherboard. The new Windows 10 threshold Update will automatically validate on my HP laptop? This laptop only has not already been upgraded to Windows 10 (the upgrade failed).
I would appreciate your help to find good drivers and also advice on installation and activation Windows 10.
Thanks for your help!
Hi SDJL,
Thank you for taking the time to answer for me.
I was hoping to use the update in the fall for a simple installation and activation, but now MS are removed it their MCT.
I bit the bullet and started hp updated driver installation and updates of Windows to get to win 8.1.
It took 9 hours to 254 Windows updates for 8.21 Windows running. I installed the updates of the hp driver 9 such as recommended by hp support assistant. Unfortunately, the Intel driver fast storage SP63642 failed to install twice using the HPSA. What should I do? I'll try the direct download from the hp site. any other suggestions?
Thank you -
Graphics card: AMD over-pants M5950
TV: Insignia NS-32L240A13
I recently bought a DisplayPort to HDMI Cable to connect my laptop (with the DisplayPort) on my HDTV (with HDMI port). When I have them hooked up and extended my screen on tv, everything went well in the beginning. The operating system showed my office on tv exactly as I expected. However, when I moved one of my windows above (Google Chrome to be precise) from my laptop to the TV, the size of the window to expand. Immediately, I thought it was a problem of resolution so I opened the AMD Catalyst Control Center to check the settings on my TV. He said that the format is standard 1080 p 60 (1920x1080@60Hz), exactly what I thought it should be. Then I noticed that when I go to detect screens and click on identify, the 2 big which is supposed to appear right in the middle of the screen appeared in the lower right of the screen. On this basis, I determined that the problem must be that my graphics card think my tv screen is bigger than it actually is. The first thing I did after has been updated of my Chipset drivers and graphics, but which has no effect. After the search of all the nooks and crannies of the Catalyst Control Center and try to find someone else on the internet with this specific problem, I couldn't find any way to get my windows to the right size and get 2 (from by clicking the button all identify) to appear in the center of the screen where it is supposed to be.
Some additional notes:
- In the screen resolution of Microsoft menu in the Control Panel, clicking on identify with my puts selected tv 2 in the Center where it should be, is only to Catalyst Control Center who gets hurt.
- I tried using a different TV, but he had the same problem.
- When I connect my laptop to my tv via a VGA cable, everything seems fine and has the correct size. (My VGA cable is only a few feet, so I have to buy a longer in order to to use;) I try to avoid this. And honestly, an HDMI DisplayPort connection / should work better than a VGA connection, anyway.)
If you have any ideas on how to fix this or if you would like more information, please let me know.
Thank you for your time.
Update:
I tried to get help from my friend with this and at one point during our investigation, we hung his laptop to the TV using a mini-hdmi to hdmi cable. We found that he had the same problem of sizing as me which begs the question, is simply how the hdmi connections are supposed to work? If so, it is very annoying and I expect there to be a setting somewhere to turn it off, but I can't seem to find it.
Well, I thought that the problem, and honestly I'm pretty embarrassed that I didn't understand it sooner. In the resolution of the screen control panel screen there is a link written as 'Make text and other items more or less '. That takes you to a page that has a setting for the size of all the items on the desktop with 3 smaller averages, options and more. Normally, I have this game to kids, but for some reason my DisplayPort output was the default setting of the support. I changed it to smaller and now everything looks the way I expect to. Hooray!
