By specifying print restrictions detailed in GBLink

OK, so my intention is to allow the user to x % printing of the book every n days, without any ceiling max on the printed pages.

For example, I have a book which is 649 pages, with a publisher policy to allow 10% of printed pages every 30 days. If it's (floored) 64 pages every 2592000 seconds; by the ACS4 docs, I have the following text in the specification of rights of the GBLink:

$prn #64 # $2592000

However the symbolic real license resulting from this (with an empty < print / > section specified at the time of packaging) is:

< print >

< up > 2024-06-30T 17: 25:41Z < / until >

< count initial = "64" max = "64" incrementInterval = "40500" / >

< / print >

I understand that the incrementInterval is essentially to ventilate my seconds at the time - by-new pages accounting - ADE Item Info says "64 pages with additional pages accumulated every 11 hours 15 minutes, up to a maximum of 64 pages", and which adds up to 64 pages allowed every 30 days as planned - with the exception of the CAP, making it quite useless accrual. I don't understand why the max value is also used to 64 here.

Is it possible to communicate in the rights of the GBLink that there should be no max? I can understand two sections of $prn, of them the same as above, with the the other saying $prn #649 #ever$? That would influence max to be "649" / unlimited as expected?

The ACS4 docs gives the example of #30 # $3024000 $prn and specifies that it will result in an authorization of "print 30 pages every 35 days (3024000 seconds)", but in practice this is not very useful if the nnn value is used to set the initial and max values on the license. Have I missed something, I can indeed understand several specifications of rights $prn to achieve the desired result, or what?

The max is when the judgment of accumulation, which is the maximum allowed at the same time, not the total number of pages never allowed.  For example, if your username should immediately print 20 pages, which would be deducted from their initial meter (64-20 = 44 pages left), then the next day (22.5 hours later), the user would be allowed to print 46 pages because 2 would have been accumulated.  However, in time one month of without printing instead of a 76 pages to print they would have only 64 since they would hit the cap to halfway.   If you didn't Max and then, after nine months, any user who does not print at all up to this point, could print the entire book.

If that's what you want, then the permissions GBLink language is not (it is a concept of max).  You are then left with two choices, both involve not to change the DistributionRights on your server ACS4

1.) if it is default permission and you're never going to change it at the point of sale.  Don't understand the lines of permission of printing/copying on your gblink and update the distribution of 'buy' right to the title reflect the permissions that you want (you can for example a lower initial value of max 0 and not)

2.), you want to make the decision to add/remove printing restrictions at the time that you build the gblink.  In this case, you will need to add several distributionrights to the server acs4 that correspond to the permissions you want to generate.  For instance if you buy as not allowing printing at all, you could add a right of distribution of "withPrinting" that specifies the desired print permissions.  Then the action of the gblink parameter would let you pass (= enterorder to buy and action = withPrinting) to buy with the ability to print

On a side note, if contractual permissions as specified by the Publisher, design for ACS4 intent should understand that in packaging authorizations, so that no matter what you have included in the gblink or the distributionrights you would never be able to exceed them.

  • Windows cannot connect to the printer. The name of the printer has been correctly entered, or the specified printer has lost its connection to the server.

A Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition SP2 32-bit computer is a field, the file and print server.

A computer on the domain is a machine of Windows 7 Ultimate 64 - bit with HP DesignJet 500 24 printer connected via USB.  The printer is running the latest firmware.  The PC is running the latest 64-bit drivers with no problems to the host machine printing.  The host also has the latest drivers 32-bit (x 86) installed by downloading by other computers on the network.  The printer is configured to share with the share name of HPDJ500.

Now, on a machine Windows XP Pro SP3 32 bit on the field, I'm trying to connect to the shared printer.  Add a printer > click Next in the wizard of > check "a network printer or a printer attached to another computer" and then click Next > click on "Find a printer in the directory", then click Next > click Find now > HPDJ500 in the list below (the XP machine can see the shared printer on the Windows 7 computer!) and click OK.  At this point, I get an error that says: "Windows cannot connect to the printer.  The name of the printer has been correctly entered, or the specified printer has lost its connection to the server.  For more information, click Help. »

Alternatively, if I right-click on the HPDJ500 printer listed, then click on connect, I get the same error message but I also see a separate window that says "Connecting to HPDJ500 on H2.ws.net" with the lively projector.  This window also disappears as soon as I clear the error message.

Please note that this printer worked perfectly as a printer shared, hosted on a machine XP 32 bit on the field.  It works perfectly for the new Windows 7 64-bit machine, but we cannot connect from anywhere else on the network (including the server which translates the same exact error message).  On the server, I also preinstalled drivers thinking there was a problem with a 32-bit computer, trying to grasp the correct drivers from the host 64-bit Windows 7, but that doesn't change anything.

    How connect to this printer?

Try using the path UNC path of the printer in the Add Printer Wizard.

Add a printer > network printer > connection to this printer ((deuxieme point)

Click next to browse (leave blank, the name field) or type the UNC path of the printer (i.e. \\Computername\Printername) path

Using (1) helps you retrieve the basket and display elements on any page. This is the mechanism by default since you have access to the command and you can get anything here without having to create other objects.

Using (2) & (3) would create component in each jsp based application that you access. Why would you create an extra in the JVM object when you already have access to it. The concept of query/session scope comes into picture.

    Hi Alex,

Thank you for using the Microsoft answers Forum!

From my research, I suggest you try the following steps.

Method I - execute a System File Checker tool.

To determine if the problem you are experiencing is caused by one or more system files that are used by Windows Vista, run the System File Checker tool. The System File Checker tool analyzes the system files and replaces incorrect versions of system files by using the correct versions.

To run the System File Checker tool, follow these steps:

    1. Click Start and type cmd in the box start the search.

    2. right click on cmd in the list programs and then click Run as administrator.

If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type your

    password or click on continue.

    3. at the command prompt, the following line, and then press ENTER:

    sfc/scannow

Once the completed scan, a test to see if the problem you are experiencing is resolved

  • Unable to connect to a network printer, but can see and discover

I'd appreciate any help with this: I have exhausted my Google searches for most of the day, and Microsoft support articles are of course a great help.

The problem: I have a printer installation on one of the XP Home computers in our home network (all the XP Home computers). I am trying to connect to this printer from another computer, but I'm unable to add through the "Add printer" Wizard While I can see the printer in the list of printers on a network (including two other printers on other machines that work), when I try to connect to this particular printer in question, I am struck with a challenge to connect with what seems to be the guest account on the computer. There is no password for this account so I leave the password blank, and I then told me that I do not have sufficient permissions. I don't know what to do.

A few pieces of my Google-ing info that may be useful:

    (1) I made sure that the guest account is enabled and even perform the active command of the net user on the computer in question.
    (2) I use Windows Firewall and I said to turn on the printer and file sharing and have exceptions for such.
    (3) I use Microsoft Security Essentials.

    (4) given that it is XP Home of course I can't access everything related to security or other policy.

In addition, whenever I try to access this computer on the Working Group, it says I have "insufficient permissions". I don't know what it means that I've never been specified no restrictions when I ran the Network Setup Wizard.

Windows networking works better if you have matching user accounts password on each machine rather than try to rely on the guest account (which is a security hole).

See the following tips from the old MS MVP Malke.  He's old, but it's always good.  Not everything can be applied to your situation; Take the parts that do.

The best and simplest is to buy a wireless router. This way you get Internet connectivity both machines and the added benefit of security more between you and the Internet. Then you configure your network wireless safely, and then you configure file/printer sharing. Here is information on the implementation of a router and also in networking. It seems long, but don't be intimidated. Setting up a router and the LAN of sharing between two computers takes about 15 minutes.

    The router configuration

Setting up a router is simple enough. Normally, you run the CD that came with the router and follow the instructions. If you're running Vista, maybe the CD that came with the router does not work; I do not know this. But you can set up the router without the CD. Note that if you have Internet cable for the connection you have just set up the router to DHCP (or there may even be a choice of cable to choose). If you have DSL Internet, you select TRP usually and enter the username and password you selected when you initially set the DSL connection. So:

    1. turn off the power to your cable modem.

    2. attach a cable (usually supplied with the router) course Ethernet cat5e Internet/WAN port of the router to the Ethernet port on the cable modem.

    3. connect the ethernet cable cat5e from the network card in your computer to one of the ports on the router. If you do not have an ethernet cable (because you were using USB), you will need to go to the store and buy a.

    4. turn on the cable modem. After that all the lights are on, turn on the router.

    To configure the router:

Have a computer connected to the router with an ethernet cable. Examples given are for a Linksys router. See the manual of your router or the router mftr's Web site. for the parameters by default if you don't have a Linksys. Open a browser such as Internet Explorer or Firefox and in the address bar type:

http://192.168.1.1 [Enter] (it is default IP address of the router, which varies from router to router then check your manual)

This will bring you to the login screen of the router. The default username is blank and the Linksys default password is "admin" without the quotes. Enter this information. You are now in the configuration of the router utility. Your configuration utility may be slightly different from mine.

Click the Administration link at the top of the page. Enter your new password. MAKE A NOTE SOMEWHERE THAT YOU WILL NOT LOSE. Re-enter the password to confirm it, and then click Save settings at the bottom of the page. The router will reboot and show you the box of connection again. Do not fill in the user name and put it in your new password to enter the configuration utility.

Now, click on the link wireless at the top of the page. Change the network name (SSID) wireless by default to something, you'll recognize. I suggest that my clients not use their surname as the SSID. For example, you might want to name your network wireless network "CastleAnthrax" or similar.

Click on save settings and when you get the prompt that your changes were successful, click the wireless security link which is just beside the Basic Wireless Settings link (where you changed your SSID). If you have a newish computer, you will be able to affect security WPA2-Personal Mode. Do this and enter a password. The password is what you enter on all computers that are allowed to connect to the wireless network. MAKE A NOTE SOMEWHERE THAT YOU WILL NOT LOSE.

At this point, your router is set up and if the computer that you use to configure the router will normally connect wireless, disconnect the Ethernet cable and wireless of the computer should see your new network. Enter the password you created to join the network and start surfing.

    B. file/printer sharing of

Excellent, comprehensive, but easy to understand article on sharing files/printer under Vista. Contains information about sharing printers and files, and the folders:

    http://TechNet.Microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb727037.aspx

For XP, start by running the Network Setup Wizard the on all machines (see warning in section A below).

Problems sharing files between computers on a network are usually caused by 1) a misconfigured firewall or a firewall neglected (including a dynamic firewall in a virtual private network); or (2) inadvertently run two firewalls such as the firewall of Windows and a third-party firewall. and/or (3) do not have accounts to the same users and passwords on all computers in the workgroup. (4) tries to create actions where the operating system does not.

    A. configure the firewall on all machines to allow traffic to local area network (LAN) as being approved. With the Windows Firewall, it means which allows file sharing / print on the Exceptions tab normally run the XP Network Setup Wizard will take care of this for these machines. The only "witch hunt", it will turn on the XPSP2 Windows Firewall. If you are not running a third-party firewall or you have an antivirus with "Internet Worm Protection" (like Norton 2006/07) which acts as a firewall, you're fine.  With a third-party firewall, I usually set up the allocation of LAN with an IP address range. E.g. would be 192.168.1.0 - 192.168.1.254. Obviously you would substitute your correct subnet. Do not run more than one firewall. DON'T STOP FIREWALLS; CONFIGURE THEM CORRECTLY.

    (B) to facilitate the Organization, put all computers in the same workgroup. This is done from the System applet in Control Panel, the computer name tab.

    C. create the counterpart of the user accounts and passwords on all machines. You do not need to be logged into the same account on all machines and assigned to each user account passwords can be different; accounts/passwords just need to exist and to match on all machines. DO NOT NEGLECT TO CREATE PASSWORDS, EVEN IF ONLY OF SIMPLE. If you want a machine to boot directly to the desktop (a particular user account) for convenience, you can do this. The instructions on this link work for XP and Vista:

Set up Windows to automatically connect (MVP Ramesh) - http://windowsxp.mvps.org/Autologon.htm

    D. Si one or more of the computers is XP Pro or Media Center, turn off Simple file sharing (Folder Options > view tab).

    E. create share as you wish. XP Home does not share the users directory or the Program Files, but you can share folders inside those directories. A better choice is to simply use the Shared Documents folder. See the first link above for more information on Vista sharing.

    F. you have the job of file sharing (and tested by exchanging a file between machines), if you want to share a printer connected locally to one of your computers, share of this machine. Then go to the printer mftr Web site. and download the latest drivers for the correct system. Install them on the target machines. The printer must be collected during the installation procedure. If this isn't the case, install the drivers and then use the Add Printer Wizard. In some cases, printers must be installed as local printers, but it is outside this response.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8620: Officejet Pro 8620 - after software download on 4 March 2016 printer fails to detect the paper in the tray

Hi, I downloaded and installed the latest version of the software on March 4, 2016. But after the installation of the software can not print as printer detects no paper and poster-error "on paper" message even if the paper tray is enough. The printer was working fine before the upgrade of the software. The printer is only 2 months old.

    Hi @Al2016,

First of all, welcome on the HP Forums, as you know it is a big thank you to get help from community members! To ensure that the paper error output is not hardware related, please make a copy and let me know if it works. A successful copy determines that the problem is actually related to the software. If you can not copy, it's a hardware problem and we will focus on the material.

If you determine that the problem is hardware related, please use the following to fix the problem: a Message displays "paper" and does not Pick Up paper from the printer. "

    2. choose "print server properties.

    • Win XP - with no printer selected, click 'File' then 'server properties '.
    • Windows Vista - with no printer selected, press 'Alt' and then click 'file' then 'server properties '.
    • Windows 7/8, 8.1 and 10 - select any printer in the "Devices and printers" folder and click on "Print server properties" above.

    3. click on the "Drivers" tab at the top of the window "properties of the print server.

    5. choose "Remove driver only.

    6. the next screen will give a warning, letting you know that the removal of the driver package will remove it from the system. Click 'Yes' to say are you sure you want to do.

If documents are stuck in the spooler to print, you see an error, cancel all documents waiting in the print queue or try restart the spooler to print, and then try to delete the driver from 'Print server properties' again. If she will not always remove the sachet, restart the computer and the printer should correct this error "in use" and allow the driver to be removed.

Once the driver is then deleted, open start > all programs > HP folder > folder printer > HP Setup and software (or the icon of the printer).

The installation screen and the software opens and you can click on connect a new printer.

Please let me know the results of your efforts and I will get back to you. If one of the suggestions I did resolve the problem, please click Accept as Solution button below so that others may see that your problem is solved! Thank you.

Once the driver is then deleted, open start > all programs > HP folder > folder printer > HP Setup and software (or the icon of the printer).  The installation screen and the software opens and you can click on connect a new printer.

Once you have added the HP driver, try to print a label again and let me know the result. In addition, you may need to change ' borderless printing: Print with border ' borderless Print.

Let me know how it goes.
