Hello

I'm new to this forum. Recently, I had a problem with this file (the title), I think that its some sort of virus but I'm not sure. When I want to open a browser I have to go through this file open, it has a list of programs that I can access, and if a particular program is not on the list it will download on Google Chrome (the browser I was when I got the virus). I can't even use the command prompt, an application not found error appears. How can I get rid of him?
Thank you

Hello

Did you change your computer?

I suggest you perform the clean boot and check.

  • file or directory C:\user\owner\appdata\roaming is corrupted and unreadable

    Hello

I tried clicking on the itunes program and got a message saying that itunes has been corrupted (c4:itunes exe file or directory C:\User\Owner\AppData\Roaming is damaged and unreadable. Please run ChkDsk utility).  It's the same thing with the Adobe 9 reader.  I tried to run the harddrive utility and he said that he could not work while the hard drive was running.  He said to plan a disk check, what will happen when the computer is restarted.  I clicked on it and then turn off the computer.  I turned it back on and nothing happened.  Then I tried to uninstall and reinstall the programs.  I was able to uninstall and reinstall Itunes, but it still doesn't work.  The Adobe 9 reader would either uninstall or installation.  Finally, I tried to restore my computer back to before I got the problem.  When I tried to restore it, he said that the local C: drive was defective and I had to make a check of the hard drive, which basically brought me back to the first step.  Is it possible to fix this or I have to take.

    Hello jortiz6,

To resolve this problem, use the tool (SFC.exe) System File Checker to determine which file is causing the problem, then replace the file. To do this, follow these steps:

    1. Open an elevated command prompt. To do this, click Start, click principally made programs, Accessories, right-click guest, and then click run as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click allow.
    2. Type the following command and press ENTER: sfc/scannow (Yes there is a space after sfc) the sfc/scannow command analyzes all protected system files and replaces incorrect versions with appropriate Microsoft versions.

After the sfc scan you can scan with Malwarebytes below to ensure that your system is clean:

Try to start your system in safe mode:

    1. Restart your computer if it is running.
    2. Press and hold the F8 key for 3 seconds after your computer powers initially on.
    3. Once you see the menu Advanced Boot Options, you can stop tapping.
    4. Up/down arrow keys to highlight your selection.
    5. Select Mode safe mode with networking and press ENTER.
    6. You should see drivers loading, it may take a few moments.
    7. You should then be at the Welcome screen.
    8. Connect to your computer using an account with administrator privileges.
    9. Now, you download (free) MalwareBytes from here: http://download.cnet.com/Malwarebytes-Anti-Malware/3000-8022_4-10804572.html?tag=mncol install, Update then do a scan of your system in safe mode, to ensure that it is indeed clean! Once the scan done remove anything it finds. Simply restart your PC to see if your problem has been resolved!

My Cookie file was corrupted in data and my programs continually pop up with the 'corrupt file' error when a program opens, pointing to \Users\name\Appdata\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Cookies.

The problem is, Chkdsk will not fix this, and I can't access the file. This opens up a world of problems when I need to fix this error, so I can upgrade to Windows 7. Help, please!

I just ran the scan again. He said of the errors found, but could not be repaired.

This problem actually has nothing to do with internet explorer. It's the cookies folder that is corrupt in the Windows folder in roaming. The error file is in conjunction with the programs, that I try to run (AIM, Skype, so forth). Trying to enter the folder it says it's corrupt. I don't know what is the root of the problems or how to solve this problem, but these measures have not helped so far. Regarding the repair, I will try that next.

    Hello

Don't forget there is no program can detect or remove all malicious software, so you need to be thorough. Added easy
to detect and remove malicious software is often accompanied by a much harder to detect and remove the payload. Do
redundant and thorough work and then use the cleaning methods even if nothing was found. Better to be
very careful now than to pay a high price later.

It can be made repeatedly in Mode safe - F8 tap that you start, however you must also run them

    Hi GA,.

Is the default Administrator account or an account that you created?

    Method 1:

You can try creating another account with admin rights and see if that solves it.

    Create a user account

If the problem does not occur, then check out the following link and follow the steps to repair the corrupted user profile:

    Method 2:

Also, if this problem just started, then try to perform a system restore, and check.

You can try to perform a restore of the system to a prior restore point you have been affected by the issue.

Note: When you perform the system restore to restore the computer to a previous state, programs and updates that you have installed are removed.

If possible, please explain why this pop up doesn't have to run, what it does, etc.

    Bye,.
    Siva

The file is not on your system. There is only a registry entry that is refencing a nonexistent file. That's why you get the message.

If you disable the entry in Autoruns, Autoruns moves the registry entry to another location so that it is not used during Windows startup.

If you want to permanently delete the registry entry, right-click in Autoruns and click on delete. Or you can remove the entry from the registry using Regedit.

Treat it as a corrupted user file.  To fix this usehttp://windows.microsoft.com/en-AU/windows-vista/Fix-a-corrupted-user-profile.  Use the new administrator account to do this.  Follow the directions given and everything will be fine and your new admin account should work normally.  Once you have ccnfired you can access, to all your acccess all of your programs and files, you can delete the old user obsolete and corrupt.

That's all there is to it.  Now that we know, this is the profile and not the system, the solution has been set for us.

I hope this helps. Feel free to post back with any questions as you go along.
