C20 no video

One of our remote offices had an audio problem with a Tandberg C20 codec and went ahead and restarted endpoint.  No, when you try to connect to this office that we receive an error "no video".  What are the things to look for in this instance?

Hi Brad,

We have seen these last 4 x cameras affected by this problem. It seems that the camera is not initialized.

Please read the following article which will help you improve the camera manually:

https://supportforums.Cisco.com/docs/doc-25123

Upgrade fixed the camera and the problem would be solved.

Please let us know if you face additional problems with the upgrade.

Kind regards

  • Simple question on a Cisco/Tandberg C20 codec

    Hi guys,.

I would like to ask your advice on a question, one of our customers recently raised; Here's the short story:

After that his ISP set at level a GK Radvision, customer knew no video, on its C20s, multi point conferences (video was successfully sent well).

After an initial diagnosis, the customer said that the question can be put in the C20 non acceptance/negotiation QCIF video Protocol (used in Radvision and other old stuff eventually to join the Conference).

As a solution, ISP has suggested to activate via SSH (command API) specific C20 (QCIF) Protocol (which is apparently not enabled by default... According to the ISP support)

Now, I know, C20 already supports QCIF and has to be without having to activate it via the specific shell commands!

... Besides there no reference in the documentation of the API C20 on a specific command.

What I suspect is that from time to time, an old codec ISDN connects to the Conference (perhaps as a first candidate) and somehow requires the MCU to negotiate some weird codec leading to no video (... Indeed, we saw through a troubleshooting session, conneting that theree different IP partecipants and we have not had any problems at all!).

Could you please let me know if I am mistaken and C20 accepts indeed default QCIF? ... If Yes, please could you me the command to allow it?

    Thank you very much!

    -Andrea

You're right C20 QCIF support in the default configuration, and no need to add a special command for him to allow.

Just for example, below is capset(2) terminal of C20 redefining this as video can be receive and including QCIF with multiple video Protocol.

Although using QCIF with C20 is little lose capacity C20 power video treatment, but interesting to understand why the software upgrade of Radvision GK introduce one-way video problem.

Application of C20 log will definitely help to identify or at least limit the first cause of this.

  • C20 / VCS disconnect

    Hello

We always seem to have problems calling VCS VCS systems with endpoints via internet. We lack 7.2 on our VCS and remote society running 7.1 on the VCS. Calls connect ok but there are drops randomly during the session 3, session of 1 h 30. I get a busy error user (logged on TMS) when trying to reconnect and I finally pass after a few minutes by train. I checked the C20 error logs and you can find this error - can anyone explain highlights lines below? or explain why I get disconnected?

    Hi Rod,

It is not easy to guide you to the first cause, why endpoint disconnects the call, with the information and the log summary above.

I recommend you open a support ticket with Cisco and also to join the journal of diagnosis (with DEBUG level) of two VCS, if possible, as well as newspapers for endpoints in the call. Then we should be able to find the cause of this problem.

Normally, the B2B calls are disconnected due to safety, for example incorrect firewall configurations or application layer, as correction active etc. H323 gateways.

It is also good to exclude scenarios; as this phenomenon happens with any point of termination? Of each location? At each location? Where registered endpoints, and firewall etc. does cross when it is a failure.

    Hope this helps,

    Arne

  • do C20 to call outside 8.6 CUCM

    Hi Experts,

I have in my project C20 telepresence and 8.6 CUCM, I want to be able to call remotely, and I want to know what I have to do to 8.6 CUCM and voice gateway if needed. Some people told me I should do NAT, but I don't want to do NAT. I want to make it through by CUCM 8.6. And what is the possibility to appeal through URI in CUCM 8.6.

    Thank you for all

    Mohammad Saeed

For voice calls, just register your C20 against CUCM and it'll work just like any standard Cisco VoIP phone. (And so use whatever the gateways/SIP trunks you got set for the external connectivity)

If you want to make video calls outside CUCM, then you must make some changes to the CUCM. Basically, you'll want to be able to make/receive the SIP (or maybe H.323) calls on the ' net. Exactly what are the changes will depend on what you want to do, but my money is on that you need to have somewhere of the VCS in the mixture.

  • Standalone Cisco C20 do not compose the DNS addresses

    Hello :)

C20 Cisco used to be registered in VCS, but things have changed so it now works as a stand-alone device. I made the following changes:

    • Call mode changed to "Direct".
    • Changed the default protocol to "H.323".
    • Gave him a public IP address

Now the system can place video calls with other systems successfully using their public IP addresses.

    Problem:

When I try to call other video systems using the dns addresses (e.g. [email protected] / * /) the call drops immediately. I set the DNS addresses in the network settings, but I get the same results.

Can someone help me to solve my problem?

    Software version: TC 2.X.X

Please do not tell me to upgrade to the latest version of the software. C20 reached EOL, so I can't get smartnet contract for her. But I'm sure that numbering of the same DNS addresses from the TC 1st version 1. Also we cannot throw this system right now because it is working and we have no budget for another system.

    Thanks in advance.

Please do not tell me to upgrade to the latest version of the software. C20 reached EOL, so I can't get smartnet contract for her.

I'm going to do, but you must switch your codec to the latest version of the software, it can also solve this problem.  That said, you can request a release of the TAC for free key by using the notice because of following in your codec version TC7.x and the software security vulnerabilities.  Reference just Advisory cisco-sa-20141222-ntpd when contacting TAC.

You could also hit this bug: CSCtr32399, but who grew up in the TC4.x software.  This is the only mention of H323 DNS composition that only appears in the search for bug.

  • Cisco profile series - vs vs C40 C20 C60 codec

    Hi people,

Is there an online guide that can give me some information about comparisons between codecs c20, c40 and c60 on video profile 42 series systems and why it has such a big difference in the price that is, what have you found to this extra cost?

Also, is it possible to connect an external projector codec to view the video of the codec on the overhead?

    Thank you

    Hello.

Yes, it will be possible. You have several inputs and outputs on different codecs.

The main difference between the C series are physiqueet inputs and outputs and call functions.  See the tables below.

  • TelePresence C20 works as standalone?

    Hi all

Telepresence C20 requires any version of CCM to run?

I am looking for a kit of quick video conference between the 2 sites and studying Polycom and LifeSize products but found that the C20 is a reasonable price?

All pre-requisistes other than an IP network between the 2 places?

    See you soon,.

    Salem.

    Hi Salem,

In the case of C20, you can use it for the direct call, you do not need to register the codec to any kind of Gatekeeper to appeal against intellectual property, if the IP is available.

Just as in Advance configuration-> H323-call Direct instead of GatekeeperMode > make.

    Kind regards

  • Input audio codec C20

    Hello

I tried to use the HDMI in the codec (main cam in) to connect to a DVD player I have the video image of the DVD but no sound.

I have read the Administrator's guide and can not finde any thing about the path of the Audio in the codec.

One knows if it is not possble.

    Bert-Wietze

    Hello

Audio for HDMI 1 - C20 is disabled.

The entrance designated for the camera to the codec C has the audio disabled.

There is no command for the user to turn it on.

You will notice this in the title of the form respective product.  Example, for the C20, you see under the video inputs, 1 HDMI input is specified, but under the audio inputs, no HDMI input is specified.

  • Double display C20 behavior

    Hello world

I have a 9TC6 C20) with dual license installed.  I have exactly the same display on both screen every time.  I have fixed HDMI 1 and HDMI 2 as first screen role.  In this way, I got exactly that I want except for presentations remotely.  When the remote site starts a presentation, it is not displayed on the screen.

I'd appreciate if anyone has an idea to get the behavior I'm looking for.

    Hi Martin,

How your system is set up: as a single or dual monitor.
I think you should install as a single monitor with HDMI outputs both primary role.
In this case, your system will display video and presentation on both outputs.

If the system is configured as double monitor, the presentation will be always check on the second exit (in which case it is configured as second or presentation only). But, as Setup you the second exit first, we saw not the presentation.

I hope this will help you!

I'm registered for free a Jabber account and have my client Movi works well. I am trying to set up my profile 42 C20 Tandberg to connect to the account, but have problems. My SIP profile is configured as follows:

    The default transport: Auto

    TlsVerify: Off

    Type: Cisco

    URI: proxy.global.jabber.com

I get an 'Impossible' for SIP message when I look at the Diagnostics > System Configuration page. Fill the proxy section? I could find instructions on how to configure my client software but not for a Tandberg codec device.

I don't think it would be possible, because free video of Jabber service is supposed to Jabber available video only and not meant for something else.

  • Upgrade of Cisco Telepresence C20

    Hi guys,.

one of our clients have reactivated just the service on a video endpoint C20 contract and he asked us to update.

I was very disappointed by looking at the actual version of the software... 2.0! However, I didn't know any way to update specified on the notes of version... so I just proceeded to the latest version of the software. The upgrade was very well, the system has rebooted and the web interface came online (was it remotely)... but now I'm invited to a user and a password... even if there is no password before the upgrade.

I tried a few connections by default 'classic': admin\cisco admin\TANDBERG admin\CISCO (also the use of the administrator)... but it still fails.

The only thing I have not tried is a login "in white" (unfortunately I can't try them now due to a problem of time zone).

    Do you have any suggestions?

    Thank you

    Dan

    Hi Dan,.

Try with login = admin and password = blank

After that, if you want to change the password (recommended) click on admin in the right corner and change the password.

    Hope this can help.
