Standalone Cisco C20 do not compose the DNS addresses

Hello :)

C20 Cisco used to be registered in VCS, but things have changed so it now works as a stand-alone device. I made the following changes:

  • Call mode changed to "Direct".
  • Changed the default protocol to "H.323".
  • Gave him a public IP address

Now the system can place video calls with other systems successfully using their public IP addresses.

Problem:

When I try to call other video systems using the dns addresses (e.g. [email protected] / * /) the call drops immediately. I set the DNS addresses in the network settings, but I get the same results.

Can someone help me to solve my problem?

Software version: TC 2.X.X

Please do not tell me to upgrade to the latest version of the software. C20 reached EOL, so I can't get smartnet contract for her. But I'm sure that numbering of the same DNS addresses from the TC 1st version 1. Also we cannot throw this system right now because it is working and we have no budget for another system.

Thanks in advance.

Clarence

I'm going to do, but you must switch your codec to the latest version of the software, it can also solve this problem.  That said, you can request a release of the TAC for free key by using the notice because of following in your codec version TC7.x and the software security vulnerabilities.  Reference just Advisory cisco-sa-20141222-ntpd when contacting TAC.

You could also hit this bug: CSCtr32399, but who grew up in the TC4.x software.  This is the only mention of H323 DNS composition that only appears in the search for bug.

    Argh!... Solution:

Create a profile and set it to "Use the following DNS server address" but leave the list empty DNS server address.

    Safe profile, be happy!

Don't ask me if you change the new profile and find the radio button to "Obtain DNS server address automatically". There is work if you go this way.

    Hello

It's probably because that VCS runs in TMS PE commissioning mode, in which FindMe is managed by the portal user in TMS, meaning there is no need to set up the maintenance > logins on the VCS.

Edit: You added information that you do not have the keys option Device Provisioning and FindMe. Because user names relate directly to FindMe, the absence of an option key FindMe would explain also unable to see maintenance > login accounts > user accounts.

I am relatively new to Powershell and PowerCLI (as in 1 week ago relatively new) and I'm falling through the procurement process about 12 VMS on a recurring basis for one class.  I can deploy VM template very well, however I would attribute a specific IP addresses the VM once they are done sysprep'ing.  I use Powershell 1.0 and PowerCLI 4.0.1 Windows 2003 VM (also vcenter in this box).  The virtual machine, I am the deployment is also Windows 2003 and sysprep very well.  This is the section in my script that I use to set the IP address:

Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.  I am pulling my hair being so closely how it makes me NUTS!

    Best regards

Instead of filling the variable followed by setting the network card by specifying the variable can you just try the interface and piped to the set command?  I have repro had your problem, but got it to work in this way:

    Get-VMHost MY_ESX_HOST | Get - vm MY_VM | Get-VMGuestNetworkInterface |? {$_.name - eq 'Connect to the Local network'} | Game-VMGuestNetworkInterface - static IPPolicy - gateway 192.168.1.1 - Netmask 255.255.255.0 - Ip 192.168.1.5 - Verbose

To meet the "necessary powershell in the prompt is", the answer is no.  You use the powercli command creates a file of commands, uses vix, or the equivalent of copy-vmguestfile or vmscript-invoke to call the file of orders for the customer... that's a CMD file on the guest.

Now, there is a problem where vmguestnetworkinterface controls were assuming that was the name of the interface "Local Area Connection *" so naming anything other than that would break the script.  Not sure if this is yet, but I can check a little later.

    Hope this helps,

    Alex.

  • Satellite Pro L300 - 12 H did not get the IP address of the DHCP router via cable

My Vista Premium SP1 laptop is connected via a wireless connection to a modem/router ADSL Buffalo WBMR-G54 model that works very well. However, I tried the other day to connect the NIC via a RJ45 cable to the router and it won't work! I get the message "limited connectivity" and an IP of 169.254.xxx.xxx that suggests he does not get an IP address from the router.

I was on various websites and tried all sorts of things as uncheck ipv6 on the properties of LAN card, put off the power of the DHCP Broadcast flag in the registry (according to the number of micrsoft) etc but nothing works.

Anyone have any suggestions to make it work?
NB: I took the laptop in work and plugged into the Windows 2003 Server network and got a DHCP IP immediately!

  • Printer HP B209a does not get the IP address of my router

Computer is a HP G71 running under Windows 7 64-bit

Router is a NETGEAR's WNR3500L with the latest firmware and a unique SSID

Using the latest version of the software install HP B209a

Towards the end of the installation for the wireless feature, the installation stops and tells me that my PC is on a network other than my printer.  All wireless devices connected to my router have 10.0.0 # IP addresses.  Through many installs the printers IP address is constantly as 192.168.0.109.  The summary on the printer wireless shows my unique routers SSID but when I open my router software and devices attached, the printer is not listed.  My router is attached to a simple DSL modem with no wireless features.  I tried the following hotfixes recommended in these forums.

    1. Connect the printer to the router through WPS with push button.  Connection is returned as a success, but identified printer router SSID as grabbled alphanumeric characters and not an IP address.  Router does not show the printer in the devices.  During the printing installation software PC and printer fail to communicate when the USB cable is connected.
    2. Connect the printer to the router through WPS with PIN.  Connection is returned as a success, but all the information in the router has been changed and all other wireless devices disconnected.  Connection to the router has shown the SSID THAT became grabbled of alphanumeric characters and the security key was changed.  No wireless device was attached to the router, but the wired connections remain intact.  Fixed key SSID and security.  All other wireless devices back in place, printer does not have.
    3. Ping network devices.  Ping 10.0.0.1 to 7 came back as successful.  192.168.1.109 ping failed.
    4. IP address of the printer has entered into a browser address bar.  Returns a Google search page, but not for access to the network printer.  Address of more than one entry address bar and couldn't connect to 10.0.0.1 (router) and 192.168.0.1 (DSL modem)
    5. Unplug the DSL modem router.  All wireless devices to connect to the router but do not have access to the internet.  During the installation of the printer software, when you are prompted to connect the USB to the PC, printer and PC fail to communicate.
    6. Turned off the Windows Firewall, both public and private without success
    7. Used the Hp network diagnostic utility and it does not can find printer.

I have installed and uninstalled the software several times.  The printer has always identified my identifier SSID is correct and the network key.  But during the finalization of installation I get the message and cannot connect PC printer because they are on different networks.  I have no idea where the printer receives the IP address.  It should be an address from the router, but it is not.  IP address of the modem DSL IS in the format # 192.168.0, but given that the modem is the base model with the wireless or network capabilities, the printer cannot logically connect to it.  I tried to unplug the router and the printer several times without success.  The possibility of changing the IP of the printer through the browser is not possible for the reasons given in 4.  What are the other options to change the IP address of the printer?  If I can assign an address # 10.0.0, I think it will solve my problems.

Is your DSL modem is a modem/router combo (most are)?  If so, it probably has a structure of 192.168.0.X and is probably a wired router (only).

This DSL modem/router is attached to the WAN, or one of the LAN ports on the back of the Netgear?  Try to move to the other type of port, and then restart both routers.

On the front of the printer, click the settings 'Restore defaults' and wireless the wireless radio.

Finally, the Netgear settings, here are some tips:

1 make sure that DHCP is active, the SSID is not hidden and that MAC filtering is not enabled.

    2. ensure that the 802.11 g mode (as well as other modes is very well).

    3. use WPA or WPA encryption, not WEP (it is not secure and may cause connection problems)

4 change the channel of the Netgear to 11 (Yes, I know it makes no sense, but it works).

  • WAP54g does not recognize the IP address of my laptop with active Mac filtering

I have reset my factory default WAP54g v3.05 to allow access to the older computer to my network.

Now, I reinstalled for better security using my new laptop: no SSID broadcast and WPA2-Personal encryption. However, when I activate the Mac filtering and allow my laptop more recent, the WAP54g does not recognize.

Disable Mac filtering and my laptop is back on the network.

Any suggestions to solve this problem would be appreciated.

Make sure that the MAC address of the wireless network adapter in the MAC address filtering tab. To get the MAC address of the wireless network card. Click on start-> Go to run-> type-> CMD-> Hit Enter type ipconfig/all

This will give a show you the MAC address for adapter ethernet and a wireless adapter. You must select one for the wireless network adapter.

I had trouble with my WRT610N...  It of sortof in brick after attempting to upgrade linksys firmware again.  Unable to access but to pings.  I've held reset and plug in the unit and access management screen and download the latest linksys firmware.  He waits and says will take in the results screen well after the time it is trying to load, but says cannot display... If I type 192.168.1.1 I can screen settings...  Apply all the settings and it seems to work, but if I unplug my router or do the 30/30/30 reset firmware and I'm back to the management screen...

After coming back to the method of administration and the firmware installed again.  When I return to the settings of the router, it keeps all my settings, such as changing the password and settings wireless, but for some reason not the firmware?

OK, so I have the router to hold the linksys firmware after a restart of 30/30/30... However the router will not get an ip address from the modem... Any ideas there?  Thank you!

Well, seems to work for now... I unplugged the modem and the router... A modem plugged in when he was on the rise and I plugged the router running in and hooked up to computer and after a few it obtained IP and seems to work well.

  • Pwerconnect 6224: vlan client computers do not receive the ip address of DHCP server on a different VLAN

    Hello

I have a prolem routing dhcp requests between the vlan management where DHCP server resides and the other VLANs.

I have the scenario of base with three VLANS: vlan 10 (management vlan), 20, 30, configured on a Powerconnect 6224 switch L2 mode. This switch is connected to a pfsense router. The router is configured at the package of road between the VLANS and it does it well.

In Vlan 10, I have a configured DHCP server to use the ip addresses of all the VLANS (10, 20, 30). VLAN 10 client computers receive ip address but not others from other VLANs.

When I put the ip address in the appropriate range of VLANs manually on computers, I ping the server and I have connectivity.

This suggests that the problem is with the dhcp package.

The DHCP server stores information that could be useful? May need to configure monitoring ports and something as wireshark to monitor DHCP packets. This would help determine where the package is stopping.

    example:

Console (config) #monitor session 1 source interface 1/g8

Console (config) #monitor session 1 destination interface 1/g10

session mode 1 #monitor console (config)

right now I don't see anything in the config of the switch that stands out. If the DHCP server is configured for option 82, then you will need to include the following command on the switch.

    Example:

    Trust l2relay console #dhcp (config-if-1/g1)

But I don't think that's our scenario here.
