C3180 all-in-One: re = install

EU all-in-one type C3180 for 5 years. Good.Had to uninstall.

Efforts to re - install keep failing. Message implementation. Please correct RUN As.

I am only user and administrator, so can not understand the problem. Tells me to remove the disc, close and log on as administrator. I always connect one. All ideas are welcome. Followed instuctions of the forum L4un - install.exe.by Travis C posted 11/04/2012, who are very clear and concise.

@dotage, welcome to the forums!

I read your post on how the installation fails when you try to install your Photosmart C3180 on your Windows Vista system. I have a few suggestions in mind to start thinking.

Before any software/installation troubleshooting, please reset your printer and make sure that the printer will make color copies, black and white with success. This is very important because it tests the material first. The printer must be in good working order before trying to install it on the PC. If there are hardware problems, the installation will fail.

Reset instructions:
Press the power button to turn the product on.
With the product, unplug the power cord from the back of the product.
Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
Wait at least 15 seconds.
Plug the power cord into the wall outlet.
Reconnect the power cord to the back of the product.
If the product does not light by itself, press the Power button to turn it on.

If the working copies, allows to go ahead and try these steps from the PC:

  1. Perform a clean boot
  2. Restart the PC
  3. Download and run the installation online here: HP Photosmart C3100 C4100 all-in-one full feature software and drivers

I hope that the installation has gone through without problem after the steps above. If the installation failed, save error messages or codes and let me know all the specific information you see.

I hope to hear from you, good luck and if you want to send me a "thank you", click on the thumb to the top below!

  • How to stop feeling ALWAYS of my C3180 all-in-One printer test page?

Whenever I have replace the black ink cartridge in my C3180 all-in-one printer, it prints a test page. Every time. Always.

It's boring, but also expensive ink is not cheap.

I have an iMac with OS X 10.6.8 'Snow Leopard '.

I have the latest software/drivers of HP printer.

I also searched all the software, to see if there are preferences and settings that I can change.

I realize that a test page should be printed after a new cartridgev is installed, and maybe when I need to test it. But not every freakin ' the printer is turned on. The cartridgte in there now is new and the ink is already weak, and what I am printing is barely readable. There's a pile of scrap paper next to the printer, all test sheets!

I apologize for the attitude, but at more than $20 a pop for the cartridges, it's cost me money that I can hardly afford.

    Thank you!

    Hello

Whenever you replace an ink cartridge cartridge he must be aligned.

Lack of any color will make the alignment to fail and so the printer will continue to try to complete alignment.

Compare the jessy printed with this example, it can happen if you ran out of color ink, etc.:

  • HP C3180 all in one.

    Hello

I have an HP C3180 all-in-One Printer/Scanner/Copier and I am trying to copy a legal-size sheet.  Is this possible.   When I bought the printer, I was told that I could, but I can't understand it.

    HELP please.

    Thank you

    Hello

The dish of this printer supports only up to 8.5 x 11 (letter size). It does support legal size paper. Check the specs below:

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c00649946

Legal scan/copy is possible only if the printer supports the automatic document feeder and printer C3180 is not.

  • HP Deskjet 3520 all-in-one: I installed the HP utility to scan, but the 'Edit analysis jobs' button is grayed

I installed the HP utility to scan from my HP Deskjet 3520 to my Mac Book pro, but the "edit scan tasks" button is grayed out. I can only scan one page at a time, but one I want to scan multiple pages

Thanks for the reply back @cjbd,

You are able to open the HP scanning software when you perform a search from the Mac?

You try to scan several pages from the printer to the Mac or from the HP scanning software?

You should be able to open the HP scanning software and edit everything from there.

Normally, you can select PDF to scan in a single file multiple documents if that's what you try to do.

Because this model only has a dish, you must be notified to scan another page.

Here is a document for digitization of the control panel of the printer: HP Deskjet 3520 e - all - in - one and HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 3520 e-all-in-One Printer Series - how to perform a scan: from the control panel.

If the HP scanning software does not work, you will need to uninstall and reinstall the software again.

I handed the document to uninstall: Printers HP - uninstalling the software of the printer (Mac).

Here is the link to the drivers: HP-inkjet ink-SW-OSX - Mavericks_v12.34.40.dmg

  • HP all-in-one printer install software "think" the software is already installed - it is not.

I have a printer all-in-one HP Photosmart C8180, connected via USB directly to my Windows 7 system.  Over time I installed, updated and uninstalled the software.  At the present time, when I try to install the software is properly run, it did not install the software.  If I click on "Advanced" installation option, I see that it "thinks" most of the support software is 'already installed' and it won't install it.  I tried to uninstall, but it will not uninstall it (because it is not installed).

I can print fine, I can get the driver installed, but I would like for all supported software must be installed also.

How can I get the installation package to acknowledge that the software is not "already installed".

    Hello

Open the content of the CD, run the Uninstall L3. at the bottom of the path...
    CD > Util > CCC > uninstall L3.bat

Once it is completed, and then restart the PC and reinstall the S/w.

  • HP Photosmart C4450 all-in-one: cannot install HP C4450

I want to spend my HP photosmart All in One to my desktop to my laptop.  Both computers running Windows 10.  When I try to add the printer, it says "the printer that I want isn't listed" I went to the HP website and downloaded their assistant for installation [a driver and it came with "no solutions are available for your product," How can I install my printer on my laptop?]

    glyn999

    Hi glyn999,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

I understand that you can not install your HP Photosmart c4450 printer on Windows 10 operating system device. And I'm happy to help you!

According to this guide, Windows 10 compatible printers. It does not specify that this printer is supported for Windows 10. However, I don't see not all the drivers on the support site for software for Windows 10. However, as a solution, I recommend trying the Windows 8.1 drivers. Series all-in-one printer, HP Photosmart C4400/C4424 full feature software and driver. These drivers must also work for Windows 10.

Let's start with this option, and we will see what happens!

  • HP Photomart D110 all-in-one cannot install drivers

I can't get the disk to load the software on my laptop Toshiba P500 windows 7, brings it to the top of the screen that says to continue with the installation it is necessary to restart the computer to remove the files. The installation screen that gets only a distance on restart and then tells you to reboot to remove the files again. The installation will not past the scene of the computer control. I tried to download the drivers and software from the HP site but the same problem occurs. I was able to load to load all the software from the disk on my old laptop XP with no problems.

The plug-and-play usb on the Toshiba also does the same thing, it detects that there are no drivers for the D110 and when Windows downloads drivers installation fails exactly in the same way. Any ideas out there?

As I was scrolling through solutions for the other all-in-one on another thread I seem to have found the solution. I managed to install the drivers to do printing via a USB cable, but nothing else. After you remove the D110a of devices and printers, then click another device and select the print server properties. Select the driver tab and select the drivers D110a and select Remove. Click on remove drivers and driver package. Restart the computer after the driver and the package is deleted. Then load the software from the cd.

I wish I could remember which thread was here, but everything worked fine after that.

  • HP Deskjet 3070 (All-in-one/Wireless) install problem Win 7 64

    Hello world

I wonder if others have had similar problems or ideas on the underside, surely I can't be the only one to use this installation/suffering with this problem.

Printers: HP Deskjet 3070 All in One (USB/Wifi)

Operating systems: Windows 7 64-bit (installed absolutely fine on Win 7 32 bit laptop computer connected via wifi).

Setup: - a Homehub BT, providing WiFi for laptop (Win7 32 bit), a desktop computer (WinXP SP3), the printer has an IP address, which is visible on the home network map - it has a MAC address also. My PC: connected by Ethernet to the homehub which is currently running wifi for all of the foregoing.

    Drivers using downloaded: -.

+ Computer laptop Win 7 32 bits connected via WiFi to the Homehub - installed fine, found printer - this is the stage where the printer receives a configuration intial IP address / completed.

+ WinXP SP3 connected through WiFi to Homhub - as above, correct, opportunity driver found the printer (which, at this time already, there).

If the printer exists within the network, other computers can see / use it.

++ My PC: Win 7 64 bit connected by ETHERNET to Homehub (she does not and will not have a wireless option).

Downloaded the drivers to install HP. (later tried "Run as Administrator"), select the software components (i.e. Remove feedback/coupons etc), installs OK applications, next step is the configuration of the printer. Add a new printer. "Check network" window appears with the message "Checking network environment" bar and the State. The status bar springs upward but stops dead at the filled Stadium. No possibility to choose whatever it, pressing Cancel has no effect. End of task here generates an error of 'work '. 'devicesetup.exe' stopped The installer never ends, applications are installed, but at no time, it shows the printer/selection.

I tried many things: complete uninstall "engines", which in this case seem to be the only applications, ensure that all non-essential startup items are disabled, make sure that the firewall is DISABLED (just to be sure), ensure that the anti-virus is disabled there is, in fact, no other printer installed (this computer never had a printer attached to it) make sure file sharing and printing are powered, ensure that there is no TCP/IP/ports printers mapped etc... Still the same error, old or new drivers, always the same - installation does not complete.

All the doctor diagnostic tools/printing tell me I have to install the driver software (I agree) but direct me to the HP site to download the ones I already have.

I can't enter the Server Web integrated (the PC where I can't install the drivers, or one of the 2 PC's who have installed correctly). One of them if I click on networking or wireless or advanced it warns a HTTPS connection and then fails with "internal server error".

My questions to someone kind enough to read this wall of text: -.

+ Anyone has any ideas please? I would prefer not to return the printer as defective because it seems to be a good all-rounder and it works for 2 other PCs in the House, its just mine which does not connect! Sad...

I'll try the USB installation and then removing the USB-> wireless to see if that can help. I had previously seen articles where people offer to buy a router to 3rd party like that is basically a wifi pass through broadcaster. It is not for me thanks

Thank you all for reading at least, it's now corrected with slightly reduced functionality.

Install the USB printer, then DO NOT convert into wireless via HP drivers/installation.

Change the USB to a TCP/IP port port newly created under the control panel of the printer (windows 7), enter the IP manually to the printer - you want an IP address that will change not in order to make this work - forcing the Home Hub to never provide that the same IP unique to this particular device was the easiest way for me. This connected but showed as offline printer constantly, others may have different experiences.

To fix that (for me): -.

Installing the printer in Control Panel Goto, force reinstall drivers HP ("via the drive"). Make sure that all the old files are overwritten. Turn the printer and then turn on (power button - twice if in mode "standby" to disable). Wait until the wireless light will stop flashing and become solid blue. Check in Control Panel if the status is online, if so you are good to go

As a result of this sabotage, you lose the feature advanced scan for PC etc etc, but the real impression seems to be absolutely perfect. The printer is always available to everyone on the network, etc.

    Good luck to all.

  • HP Photosmart C3180 all-in-One does not scroll on glossy photo paper

Printer all-in-one HP C 3180 will not take paper glossy photo Copier. I hear the gears rolling, but it doesn't pull in the worksheet. It will take regular paper and Matt paper thick. I use only HP advanced photo copy paper. Are there adjustments for scrolling? Any help would be appreciated.

I was able to identify the problem and solve it somewhat. Settings of the printers were very good; no paper jam, etc.  It is the rear access door.

Glossy paper would not scroll until I pushed on the RAD. I just have to hold it down until the paper begins to scroll, so I withdraw my hand. Find out where the problem is I should be able to jimmy-rig it (ahh... Yes, duct tape!) to hold in the FDR. Nevertheless, Cheetah12, I appreciate your suggestions.

  • Reference Dell Vista vs HP C3100/C3180 all-in-one

Hi, had a message here not long ago but never got all the answers, so I'll try once more.
I have a new Dell INSPIRON 1525 & a HP C3100/C3180 printer. When I tried to install it, Vista does not recognize the printer. OK, I tried everything; received the HP update disc, not working, downloaded from the site Web of HPs, not good. He moved very well, but then it's gone. Not in the window of the printer, anywhere except to remove or repair the file. Then when I click on HP solutions the screen goes black for a second, then returns all distorted and magnified, looks like resolution everything is off. A box is here who says: "no legacy HP have been detected - HP Solution Center will close now. When I click on the close box screen becomes black new & comes back perfect. Before thinking anything, I know all about the drivers and others. I installed & unintalled several times then I can count. I tried to talk to HP they say that is Vista and I believe them. I tried every way you can to get their hands on the Windows folks & got no response, been put on endless hold, said I could talk to someone in this country who was a true tech, but I have to so finally got a response to a tech by e-mail & she gave me a page and a half of instructions that I could print pay(I won't)... If my printer worked. So I wrote them down, but the first part is not very clear, so I sent back & no response. 3 days ago, I called & had somesone who said that they would write to me better instructions and you guessed it... still waiting. Sorry about this but I tried since February 14. I go to College I need the printer and I'm so aggravated.
Tell you the first part of the instructions, can help me is it someone at least with this please. It comes to getting Vista to Reconize drivers/printer/spool.  It is said: START WINDOWS EXPLORER & THEN RENAME all FILES & FOLDERS in THE FOLLOWING 2 FILES: C:\windows\system32\spool\printers.
C:\windows\system32\spool\drivers\w32X86 Ok my problem is that when I open windows such as theres a lot of files. none that say above, or what I know to use this subject and I have fear of just the stuff of renameing beginning. Someone know or recognize what he's talking about? I know I'm supposed to find in REGEDIT. I can do that without worrying, but I can't do any further without doing step 1. I've done this so I'm afraid I'm spoil the laptop & have already noticed a strange behavior. Can someone help me? Printers only around the age of 7 months. Thank you

  • My Photosmart C3180 all-in-one will not scan.

Get Installation error 8, [(8,0,0)], then press the 'OK' button to continue. Complete installation - printer OK, but not scan.

Have tried all the options within the "error of Installation of the HP" without success. "HP solutions Center - 'guide' gives no action.

Seems to be all 8 sections OK and going to "finish the screen. Connect the printer and "install device driver" is displayed. Close this at the end of "the device is ready for use. The "software Setup screen appears again and then comes to an end, when the ' screen HP Solutions is started." I tried to scan from there, but still get the error "8,0,0" described above. As I said, the HP Solution Center - Guide (for a solution) either do nothing, Windows Control Panel product "program stopped working." Printer/scanner worked with this Win7 for almost a year, before getting this problem. There was also the C3180 in recent years through Win XP & Win Vista.

Not sure if the problem is hardware, A) B) Windows, software HP C) or (D) the file downloaded "AIO_CDA_NonNet_Full_Win_ WWW_130_140".

We'll see. It could be all three issues you have described. However, let's test a few things. First first, let's do a copy on the printer itself, see if she did this and that will prove its functional. Other hardware issues maybe a defective USB cable. Then you can consider replacing that.

Then for the software, I want uninstall you devices and printers, programs and features, Device Manager. Then in the menu Start menu type "%temp%" and press ENTER. Delete all the files. Some will not delete, and it's good.

Then download the files on the site.

Make sure that the USB cable is disconnected through this process.

When you reinstall message out there and let me know the result.
