  I came across your post about how you are unable to analyze after upgrade to Windows 10 and wanted to answer with my suggestions.

  First run Installation Wizard printer here: use of diagnosis HP for printers HP Windows tools

  After that, the feature complete driver and software must be installed for your printer on your computer. Try to scan the image. If there are problems, let me know all the details, errors, etc., and I'll do my best to help!

  Have tried all the "patches" you list and much more. The printer prints fine on my old PC Windows XP and worked fine on my

  new PC using Windows 7 until recently.

  Please don't tell me to... Reinstall, download the new driver, install the new cartridge, clean align the print heads, different paper or go to 'solutions '... Etc... Etc.  I HAVE ALREADY BEEN THERE AND DONE THAT!

  Everything you "patches" end with 'the unit of service... " WHAT IN THE WORLD WHAT THAT MEANS!

  This has been a nice printer for more than 5 years, but is somewhat glitch spoil me when using the BLACK INK?

  Thanks for the reply, expecting not one, but what you say is all that we need to buy another printer if we did all the "fixes", etc... etc. you know that take a printer to a repair shop will cost more

  then buy a new one.

  It was stupid of saying me to check on the warraty of HP page when I already told you that the unit is 5 years old.

  Thanks for getting back to me on this subject. I am pleased to hear that the issue of alignment has been resolved. However, because you get the message when copying or scanning that has occurred a "failure" and you screen gets stuck on 'Cancel' for the copy, you experience a hardware failure with your copy/scan inside your printer mechanism.

  Because the programming of your printer control the scanning/copying mechanism, I checked in an update of Firmware for your product to see if there was an update available in the corrupt case programming was causing your issue. Unfortunately, due to the age of your product, it is not these updates.

  You also mentioned that you did a semi Full reset programming on your printer, nothing helps.

  At this point, I will provide you the failure of scan standard troubleshooting steps to see if there is a chance to solve this problem.

  Step 1: Power Reset:

  1. With the printer, unplug the cable from power for 30 seconds
  2. After that 30 seconds reconnect the power cable from back in
  3. The printer should return its own
  4. Once the printer returns to the ready state, again test the copy feature.

  Step 2: Verification of power:

  Power strips and surge protectors can cause HP printers do not work properly because they can run out of power. To ensure that a power problem is not causing your Scanner failure, please plug the unit directly into the wall outlet.

  Once your printer is directly to a wall jack please test again the copy function. If the problem persists, please continue to the next step.

  Step 3: Check the Scanner Bar and light:

  1. Feed your printer
  2. Lift the lid flat on your printer and click the copy button
  3. Check if the scanner bar is moving or if the scanner lamp turns on.

  Source: A "Failure of scan" Message appears on the all-in-one control panel and you can not scan, copy, or fax

  If there is no response from the mechanism of scanning, the last step would be the printer to service.

  At this point, if the problem persists I suggest you contact the Technical Support queue by phone to explore additional options.

  I recently bought a new laptop - ASUS with Windows 7 64 bit. AIO drivers loaded very well except for a couple of files that I ignored. Device will print but will not scan and the annoying message "an error has occurred with the scanning device. Please make sure that the scanning device is properly connected and try again. "can't stop appear or not, I use the device.

  I've uninstalled and reinstalled the software several times now. Even two files have a problem, but otherwise all the print functions work well. I have yet to test the ability to fax, but the unit will not scan and does not open a device icon or desktop HP Director.

  The pop up message is probably caused by the following software (software HP PSC & Office Jet). I want to uninstall this software using the Control Panel Add/Remove Programs, and then, when you connect your printer to the computer, Windows 7 detects hardware and automatically installs the correct driver. A notification lets you know when the installation starts and when it is completed. You are not required to download any software or insert the product CD.

  Printer all-in-one HP C 3180 will not take paper glossy photo Copier. I hear the gears rolling, but it doesn't pull in the worksheet. It will take regular paper and Matt paper thick. I use only HP advanced photo copy paper. Are there adjustments for scrolling? Any help would be appreciated.

  I was able to identify the problem and solve it somewhat. Settings of the printers were very good; no paper jam, etc.  It is the rear access door.

  Glossy paper would not scroll until I pushed on the RAD. I just have to hold it down until the paper begins to scroll, so I withdraw my hand. Find out where the problem is I should be able to jimmy-rig it (ahh... Yes, duct tape!) to hold in the FDR. Nevertheless, Cheetah12, I appreciate your suggestions.

• HP psc 1315 all-in-one will not scan

  My all-in-one HP 1315 machine is more scanning documents. It copies and prints without any problem, but I can't scan. After I have put a document on the glass and press the "Scan" button, the "On" flashes several times and then the machine makes a short noise and then nothing. • HP Photosmart C8180 All-in-One: Photosmart C8180 All-in-One will not work in El Capitan

  Hi guys,.

  Have recently upgraded to El Capitan on my iMac desktop computer and tried to use my printer for the first time since doing so, only to find out that the computer no longer recognizes the printer, which means that the printer is completely insensitive. I guess I need an updated driver, but am not sure if my model is supported and have not been able to find anything online.

  Any help/advice will be welcomed because it is my first experience with this problem.

  I see by your post that the printer is not recognized since the upgrade to El Capitan. I want to help you solve this problem.   The software is installed by the Apple updates. I would say to delete the printer in the window print and scan, then run the Apple updates. HP printers - installing a printer driver Mac using Apple Software Update.

  How is the printer connected? (USB, Ethernet, WiFi)

• Printer (Photosmart C5580 all in one will not accept the #75 color cartridge)

  Screen on the printer says "cartridge in the slot on the left is not intended for use in this printer.  Remove and replace.
  It's the exact same cartridge as empty.  There is a flashing yellow light next to the sign +.  I tried
  unplug and plug in again.  I put the old cartridge in.  I turned printer off and back on.
  Nothing seems to help.

  3. did you of recent changes on the computer or the printer?

  I work in Snow Leopard and you have not had any problems of printing up to yesterday.  I sent several photos to print on plain paper and the quick B & W project.  It was never a problem like this before.

  The files were sent to the printer, but the images and the text later, would not print.  The only thing the queue said was that it was a "mistake."  There is no flashing on the printer for me to decode.  Later, I tried to print a text file and it's the same thing.

  The photos have been in iPhoto and I believe that the text file came to 'Sample'

  Help, please!  It is a great printer and I'm right in the middle of a movement, if this isn't the best time to have this kind of issues.  In addition, I'm not a geek and don't know what to do.

  Once add you the printer, choose the desired in the 'Presets' during your first print job setting.

  I'm scanning very old recipe cards.  No matter how to activate the map, or when I put it on the screen, at least one edge is cut, including the automatic feeding system, which is my preference by train.  The cards are 3 x 5 or 4 x 6.  I can't find anywhere for this HP7520 the settings.

  We know not if you want to scan in receipts in the form of images or text.

  Regardless of the end point, the following might help.

  With the complete installation of the software functionality for the printer and assuming a recent version of the Windows operating system, you should have the shortcut Wizard printer installed on your desktop.

  Double-click the Printer Wizard shortcut > scan a Document or Photo >

  Select Photo of Document OR file file (as you prefer) >

  This starts the process to create the sweep.

  On the side right of the menu, under the Scan size >

  Select, in the menu dropdown > any scanning area

  The rest of the selections can generally be left as default values, even if it's for you and your situation.

  • In order to ensure that the results meet your expectations, do not forget that the scan preview is CHECKED.
