C4480 install

My PSC 1315 died and I bought a 4480 C which has not yet arrived. In preparing for this, I want to clean all unnecessary drivers, etc.. Should I I wipe all the in 1315 as HP Director, area of the image etc? I have over 400 meg to HP programming the I would like to empty before installing the new software.

Thanks for the suggestions. I did the uninstall with the original CD Windows uninstaller software and then finally a manual removal of all the remaining files of HP and records. After that, I ran regseeker and got rid of hundreds of registry entries. Now everything seems clean ran. We'll see how it worked when I try to install the new software of HP. Furthermore, the HP CD also uninstalled my Adobe flash player.  (??)

  • C4480 install on vista 64

Spent the last 3 hours installation/uninstallation of the software, when I plug the USB cable when the installation software asks me, windows said there is a new device, it cannot detect and applied to it the 'unknown device' driver and installing the software 'continue' button never lights.

I tried to download the drivers from the HP website, but it's the complete package, which gives an error in the middle of the installation. My installation CD works fine, the printer is simply never recognized.

I tried to uninstall, reboot, and install again, the same problem. I tried to update all the software with the HP update and still the same issue.

I tried to set the camera to the 'C4400 series' driver, and then windows says: it is installing the driver, it can't find the driver, asking to put the CD, the CD search and can't find the driver, and spits out an error saying that it was unable to install the driver.

So, I'm pretty good with nothing else to try. What is supposed to happen when installing the software asks you to connect the printer? The printer is supposed to be recognized by windows at this time here? C4480 is compatible with vista 64?

Thanks for the reply, I managed to solve this problem by using only 1 USB cable instead of several connected.

  • C4480 does not print after upgrading Vista to Windows 7

    Hello

I bought a C4480 & installed on my laptop running Vista.  I bought recently installed Windows 7, it & printer worked OK. 2 days ago HP sent the file: PS_AIO_03_C4400_NonNet_Full_Win_WW_130_140.exe, (1/1, 205.09 M)

I downloaded & installed, now the printer does not print. It scans ok just will not be printed. Called HP & said it was Microsofts problem. told by Microsoft of $ 80 or reinstall my computer back to the factory default settings. Not knowing much about computers I'm not want to do. The computer tells me the spool of printer off & to start but when I open the printer spool is on. I hope you understand that this is my 1st post.

There is a patch for this here.  Try it!

  • Can not re - install Photosmart C4480 and get the error "printer is offline and error 41"

Hello. I had some corrupted files Windows and don't update. As I put everything I like, I think I can't reinstall my HP Photosmart C4480 printer.

    My system:

    Sony Vaio, 64-bit

    Windows 8

    What I see:

When I physically connect the printer via USB, the computer does not recognize that something has been connected. A flash drive inserted into the same port is recognized, so I don't think it's a problem of port.

I tried a different printer cable with the same results, so don't think it's the cable

Tried to install via the Setup program, but it does not recognize the printer.

Tried to install manually several times. It usually looks like it installs, but impossible to print the test at the end of the installation page

I got several error messages include:

That not being able to communicate in both directions. I checked this setting and it is turned on

    Error 41

Printer is offline (the printer is connected and turned on)

After manual installation, the printer will appear in devices and printers and the print dialog box (after it hit Ctrl-P). In the dialog box, Photosmart is selected, but when I hit nothing print response happens - no printer and no printer icon appears in the taskbar

I would greatly appreciate the help and advice to solve this. Thank you!

    Hi Renee,.

This question might be incorrect or incompatible printer drivers installed on the computer. The State of a printer offline may be due not to the power of the printer. You must also ensure that network share can be disabled.

For more information, see the link:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-8/turn-sharing-on-or-off

Error 41 problem occurs if you install a non-Plug-and-Play device driver, but Windows cannot find the device. Here are some things you can try to solve this problem.

If all the basic settings are checked and are up to the mark, you can refer to the suggestion of Pinaki displayed in the following link and check if it helps.

    http://answers.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/Forum/windows_8-hardware/network-printer-shows-offline-on-Windows-8/7851703b-492C-4e97-8063-f1fc2aa63ec0

After you have uninstalled the printer driver, you can consult the following link to install the latest driver for the printer.

  • problem installing with C4480 and Time Capsule

I'm putting in place a new Photosmart C4480 to use with my computer laptop MacBook and my Office PowerPC G4 tower. When I connect the printer directly to the G4 using the USB cable, it works fine. But when I connect to the USB port of my time Capusule the C4480 (which is connected to the G4 by ethernet cable) G4 can't find the printer. However, I can print wireless from the MacBook. This configuration has worked with my previous Epson printer. Is there anything else I need to do? Thanks for any help/suggestions.

I just answered my own question - I didn't notice the "Hello Printers" in the "printer" drop-down menu. Selecting the C4480 in this option solves the problem. Thanks anyway.

  • Not compatible HP Photosmart C4480 printer ink cartridge

HI - first time here - I have a HP Photosmart C4480 printer and have recently installed a new black ink cartridge - genuine HP 350XL - bought in Tesco and already used a few times.  I printed a page today, and when I went to another printing, the printer says that the cartridge was incompatible.  I had not touched the printer between the prints. I tried out both cartridges and resettlement but still get the same message.  Also tried to turn again printer.

I could understand if there was a problem with the cartridge and it was rejected as soon as I installed, but does not understand why this happens between the printing of pages.

    Any help would be appreciated

    Thank you

Here a link to a document that addresses this cartridge error message that you get on the printer. It will give you troubleshooting to try in an effort to solve this problem with the printer. I hope this helps. If you reach the end of the document and have done all the solutions proposed by the document, would seek to substitute.

  • HP photosmart C4480: HP photosmart C4480 does not print colors

I had other questions on this matter. Changed to the new color cartridge. The printer will print a new alignment page that has the color on it, but all the images or type I try to print in color out just black and white. I don't have an option of black and white levels in my print window. Also do not have a function of options as someone did in a similar question. Impossible to find anywhere in the preferences system, in the window print function buttons printer to specify the color and black and white.

Never had this problem before using Windows or Mac computers. Printed of this same laptop several times over the years, no problem. This just started happening out of nowhere starts at the beginning of this summer. Same notebook printed in color in the office. No indication I need new drivers, tried to reinstall the printer just to be safe.

    Any ideas? !!

    Thank you!

    Hi @2534Melissa,.

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I understand that you are unable to print in color with your HP photosmart C4480 printer. I will definitely do my best to help you.

In my view, there is a problem with the device driver, follow the instructions.

Step 1: Resetting the printing system:

To begin, I will have you reset the printing system on your Mac. Please click herefor instructions on how to perform the reset. When the site opens, follow the steps under"Reset printing in OS X Lion system" because the steps are the same for Mac OS X 10.10. This Reset deletes each printer on your Mac. However, it does not uninstall printers. Therefore, if use you other printers on the Mac, once the reset is complete simply make sure printers are attached via a USB cable or connected network and (+) add hide them po do add not your HP Deskjet back in right now.

Once the reset is complete, proceed to the next step.

Step 2: Uninstall the drivers and software:

Please click here to find out how to properly uninstall your printer. Once the site opens, select the drop-down list 'Mac OS X v10.6, OS X v10.7, OS X v10.8 and OS X v10.9' and follow the steps under two method to complete uninstallation.

Once the uninstall is complete, please continue on.

Step 3: Check and repair your Mac disk permissions:

    1. Open Macintosh HD and go to Applications
    2. Go to the Utilities folder
    3. Open disk utility
    4. Select the hard disk volume, you use (usually on the left)
    5. Select verify disk permissions
    6. Once this process is complete, select repair disk permissions

Step 4: Manually install the driver Package:

Please click here to manually download the package from Apple to HP v3.0 printer driversupdate. Once the site opens click on the download button at the top. Follow the instructions on the screen to install the driver package.

Step 5: Check the Apple updates:

    1. Go to the Apple
    2. Select System Preferences
    3. Select software update
    4. Click update now
    5. Install your available updates
    6. Computer restart

    Step 6: Add the device:

    1. click on the menu of Apple , then Preferences System.

    2. click on Print & Scan and then check if the name of your printer appears in the printer list.

    3. click on the name of your printer, click the sign minus (), then remove the printer.

    4. click on the plus sign (), click Add a printer or a Scanner, click the name of your printer.

    5. click on the area of use or with the help of Print and then select the name of your printer on the shortcut menu. Ensure that the Deskjet driver is selected.

    6. click Add to add the printer to the list.

Once your printer is properly added to, please try printing again to verify that the problem is now resolved.

  • Photosmart C4480 scan to iMac with OS 10.6.4

Improved (strength) of the eMac (OS10.3.9) to an iMac (OS 10.6.4 My Photosmart C4480 print OK, but don't scan - 'scanner could not be initialized. The 'automatically' updated software only once; I've deleted and reinstalled from the original disk, but this did not help.

If you are using Snow Leopard or Lion and you have the HP software before Snow Leopard (either from a CD not marked as compatible with 10.6 or you recently upgraded to Snow Leopard and had the software HP on your Mac before you upgrade - even if you made a standard from the old software uninstaller or installed new software on top of it) , you must uninstall the software by using the "scrubber":

Go to Applications/Hewlett Packard / click Uninstall HP
    Click on continue
Highlight your device in the left pane
Hold down the Ctrl and Opt Cmd and click on uninstall< scrubber="">
There will be a pop up that asks if you are sure you want to uninstall all hp software. (At this point, if you continue, all HP printers you have installed will need to be reinstalled)
Click on continue and let it finish

    Restart your Mac

    Now reset the printing system:

    -Sys Prefs, Print & Fax
-Right (control) click inside the box that lists your printers and select Reset Printing System.
WARNING - This will remove ALL your printers!
-Select the sign + to add again. Search for the printer, select it, and wait until the button 'Add' becomes available. Until it clicks.

  • C4480 printer does not print on the internet

I hope I'm doing this right.  I tried searching for this problem.  I'm awfully lack of navigational skills.  And many computer skills, I'm afraid.

I have Windows Vista and just downloaded IE9, but the problem started when I was with IE8.  The upgrade did not help.

My printer is an all-in-one printer, model C4480.

It works with other computers very well.

He has a lot of ink work.

My problem arises when I am physically plugged into the printer and if I use a wireless connection. I use a laptop computer, if it's important.

If I print from a word processing document something, everything prints fine but I'm tired of cut and paste what I want to print.  When I try to print directly from the internet I have a line at the top (page 1 of 1, line type) and a line across the lower part (usually a (?) path to the location of a temporary file, I think) with nothing in between.  It is a blank page otherwise.

I feel that I can have left the information that anyone who is willing to help me may need.  I hope I did well.

I'm usually good following the clear instructions, as long as they are written so that someone who doesn't speak not "computer" can understand it.

If anyone can offer advice, I would really appreciate it.

    Thanks in advance.

    Angela

I can't thank you enough for trying to help me.  I did run this diagnostic utility you suggested and, naturally, it turned up without error.  I'll try another browser to see if it worked (although I do not want another browser), but then I had a thought.  So I decided to try my idea first, before installing a new browser.  I've uninstalled and reinstalled the software (I think it's the right word... the disc that came with the printer with drivers etc on it).  Guess what?  I can print on the internet even once.  I can't believe that none of us don't think of that earlier.  I still don't know why it crapped out, but it works now so I'm not too concerned about why.

Again, thank you very much for taking the time to answer my call.

  • Mac pro book: need software of the printer for HP C4480

I need the software for my HP C4480 print and scan using my MacBook Pro OS 10.9.5. I don't see this option. Can you give the link or give me a suggested alternative. Thank you

    Hello

The printer software is available via Apple Software Update and not as an executable from HP site.

Follow these steps to install your printer on OS X 10.9, generally you need to connect the printer, run software update and add the printer under printers & SCanners:

  • Black pages appearing from c4480 scanner

    Hello

I have a printer C4480 all in one.  Without any warning he now produces black pages when I scan a document and try and save on my Mac.

When it appears on the screen (when scanning), the image is perfect and it makes copies without any problem at all, it's just when I save it to the computer.

I tried a hard reset and then reinstalling the software but without success.

    Can anyone help?

    Thank you

    Hi ELC99,

I suggest to remove the printer from your printing system, using this document: uninstalling the software of the printer.

Once you have deleted, I suggest to check and repair disk permissions: function to fix the permissions of all utility disk drive.

I also run your Apple updates: OS x: Mac App Store apps and OS X update

After the updates, I recommend you time the printer, using the v10.9 OS X Mavericks: installing and using the printer on a Mac document.

Good luck and please let me know how it goes!

Well well since you made no mention of what operating system your computer is running, or what OS cd is supported by us would think.

Click here and search for your software and drivers.
