  You'll probably just get a new battery which is what I did. Try Amazon.

  Yesterday my C50 Satellite would not start. When turned on, it shows the Toshiba logo and then the little circles just keep them.

  I booted into recovery mode and ran chkdsk, but there are no errors on the disc.

  When I restarted, then she says the following:

  Then press the power button and immediately after that, press the F12 button

  Then I recommend you to choose the option to drive HARD recovery... The last option in this menu.
  This would start the HDD recovery procedure and would restore the laptop back to factory settings...

  I have a computer toshiba laptop and I had problems with my laptop that I got it 3 months and today I went to restart it and only the power led comes on and the fan starts running, but the screen remains blank

  Its very annoying if laptop start malfunction but the good news is that guarantee is valid and when hardware issues, should be set the unit for free.

  Anyway, try a kind of universal workaround that is sometimes useful to solve different problems.
  You should disconnect the power adapter and should remove the battery.
  Then you should press on and hold button power; Let's say 30-50 dry should be good enough.
  After that connect the two parts and try to turn on the unit.

  I keep fingers crossed that this work around will simply help you

• Y560 does not work without power

  I have Lenovo a laptop Y560. Couple of months there is overheating and I after that I started to get the message to "consider replacing the battery. Laptop still worked with AC power or without power (although the time of a battery has been reduced).

  After a few weeks, I bought the battery replacement and laptop worked fine for a while but now it does not work without AC power. Battery is 98% charged, but as soon as I disconnect laptop AC adapter just turns off. What could be the problem?

  replacing the battery is maybe defective, if still under warranty, please contact the vendor that you bought.

  A new true Y560 battery is available on Lenovo online store...

  My mother-in-law has an old Satellite phone of 15 months which will not be turned on, press the button power led power lights and the fan starts to turn, then past at high speed for a second then turns down and then repeat the salt is more than 5 seconds or sof. It worked very well and booted up once, but now no joy. What can be the problem? That's more than 1 year that it is no longer under warranty, but only 3 months.

  Hmmmm... This virtual path is not easy to say what the problem is here. Your in a first time to reset the machine.
  Unplug the power plug, remove the battery and press the power button for about 30 seconds. After doing this leave for a while and try to power with AC power only.

  What's happen when you do this?

  Summer look far for an answer to this problem. Made an account here to try to find more answers. So Hello to everyone!

  We have an older spectrum XT Pro notebook that I received from another user. When I got up, the battery was dead, and material UEFI scans indicated that the battery needs to be replaced. After checking the part number on the HP PartSurfer's (part number 685989-001), we decided to order online.

  It seems that HP does not have this battery more, so we found a second-hand on Amazon. After a week or so, the battery came, and I installed it without problems. The system is turned on without the charger (huzzah!), so I leave this weekend to recharge before putting to sea.

  This morning, when I came back to check on the machine, the prosecution was capped at 92%. At first, I thought the battery simply need to be recalibrated, but found that when I removed the charge cable, the laptop is dead immediately. A little worried that the battery I received was defective, I ran once again the analysis of material UEFI. This time, the battery has been reported as OK. Very strange.

  I tried updating the BIOS, UEFI material checking, and the drivers on the machine, but none of them make a difference. I unplugged both the main battery and the CMOS battery, but no change in behavior. I have reset the BIOS settings, but there is no change either. If I do a scan of the battery alone or a full analysis, the system reports that all systems are OK.

  The only other thing I noticed is that the battery we ordered has a sticker with part number 686189-001, which does not match the one we ordered. The search of this part on PartSurfer number takes nothing. Apart from this sticker, the battery itself is identical, with the same voltage and the same power and the same number of secondary part of the 685855-1 b 1. I guess that it is possible typo, and batteries are indeed identical parts.

  If anyone has any ideas why this machine is not working off battery power, I am open to try. The system reports to a high battery Windows, but simply refuses to take this battery when I unplug the charger.

  An update:

  So I contacted HP on the battery, and they decided to ship a brand new! After installation, the new battery seems to work just like new. Success!

  Not sure what was wrong with the old, but happy that I was able to get a fix.

  Hi guys, I have a new Satellite C50 8.1 Win.

  On the Toshiba site, for this particular model, it can be upgraded to 8 GB of ram.
  There is no easy access on the background of this laptop Panel, so the complete lower cover must be removed, and there is only 1 RAM slot.

  So I bought a single stick of ram 8 GB DDR3 at 1333 MHz (recommended speed on http://www.toshiba.co.uk/laptops/satellite/c50-b/satellite-c50-b-13n/ site Tosh).
  Problem is he can't ram 1333 MHz speed - NOT just because it was an 8GB stick (I also had 1, 2 and 4 GB available sticks to test).

  On cuts size of 1333 MHz laptop tries to power on then feeds directly to the output.
  Its not too fast - for one, it's a portable Gen current with a processor that will gladly help 1333 MHz, but - GET THIS - the ram that came out was a stick of 4 GB 1600 MHz.

  To try to contact Toshiba support I gave by telephone of the sales representative who had no idea what I was feeling and finally told Topaz ring, Toshiba repair and warranty the guys, who were quite confused as to why I was told to ring the.

  So what about £55 in the sewers, because the package is opened and Toshiba play dumb on a possible serious failure.

  If anyone has any ideas or suggestions, they would be much appreciated.

  I had the same problem with a satellite A100. I did the following:

  1. go in Control Panel
  2. in the system select Classic view
  3. go to the Hardware tab
  4. Select Device Manager
  5. open the 'USB bus controllers' (via)
  6 double-click on USB root hub
  7. Select the tab: "Power management."
  8 deselection allow the computer to turn off this device to save power
  9. my computer has several USB root hub. I repeated at 07:54 for all
  10. I rebooted the computer, but do not know if this is necessary.

  After that, the problem was gone. Enjoy

  There are 2 days I was at a friend s and I left my charger it and its ws output 19v so I got another charger and its output is 9v then I tried and he came to 30ms then the laptop off completely.

  I got my charger back today and what he tell me his load, the witness orange but when I turn it on it goes for 10secs then turns off and all the lights go out. I have to pull the battery in and replace it for this to try a new fee. He was in charge or 10 hours and still the same.

  The use of bad power adapter with a different value of Volt would damage the motherboard.
  What to say, I think the power of electronic power supply on the motherboard has been affected due to the use of non compatible adapter.

  I have a TOSHIBA Satellite P50-B-103 with windows 8.1. I stop the machine yesterday, but today does not when I push the power button, nothing happens. I try to hold the power button / stop 30 seconds, but nothing happened.

  The" "DC IN / battery indicator" led is white, when I plug in or unplug the charger without changing the status led is allways white (not flashing).
  Given that I stop the machine yesterdy the "DC IN / battery indicator" is white. But I think that when I shut the machine down allways will be tour?

  My A60 will work on a full battery but when I put the power cord in it, it still works on the battery even when he says he gets the sorce of power and count the percentage until he spends.

  Then I let it charge a big short TI. I got a new battery still, a unit of power too much and it does as an update of the bios.

  It's like the charger is there for the battery.

  I agree with Richard. Perhaps is there some problem with electronic supply power. I think that the technicians can run test or some diagnostic programs to verify if really power electronics is damaged.

  Generally electronic power should recognize the power running and automatically turn off battery power and start charging the battery.

• Satellite R830 not working - flashing power light

  Hello

  My Satallite R830 lights.

  The power symbol flashes orange 8 times then pauses and restarts. There are 6 quick flashes followed by a longer 7 flash then another quick. The symbol wireless is lit (orange) all the time.

  If I unplug the laptop and remove the battery and hold the restart button for 30 seconds then without taking the battery in the charger stops flashing and the symbol of the power goes to green, until I try to turn it on, it has a fraction of a second where it looks like it is starting then stops and flashing orange again.

  Same thing if I unplug the AC adapter and the battery and then tried the above, but with battery or ac charger.

  I tried with another adapter (same output amp and volt).

  Can anyone help?

  If the power supply microcontroller has detected an error lamp DC IN sends a blink code.
  The short means 0 and a long time means 1.
  I have your case, that means: 0000 0010

  Because the error code starts with LSB (least significant bit) to read it from behind
  -> 0100 0000 0000 0010-> 40 H (hex)
  Now, you will need to know what means 40 H

  After a few details that I found on the internet, the 40 H could be the fault of S3V output. (S3V voltage is more 3.47V)
