  • Problem of compatibility printer PhotoSmart C7280 with Mac OS 10.7 (lion)

my printer hp photosmart c7280 all-in-one will work with the new mac os 10.7 (Lion)?

    Hello

If your HP Officejet 6500 has worked very well with 10.6, after that upgrade to the HP software Lion should continue its work, there is no need of updated drivers.   Have you tried that?

second - if you have updated to Lion and removed the HP software before, make sure that the printer is turned on and connected to the Mac (usb or network), a few "Add printer" and go through the steps, the Mac check Apple software updates and download the latest driver HP for you.

    Hope this helps

  • Re: C7280 duplexing

    Hi UM Ho.

HP once again, maybe this time with their large war Mircosoft boyfriend... Installed windows 7 (32 bit) and then teacher the c7280 as a network printer (as a fact that in Microsoft)... BIGGG SURPRISE... printer found, workx.  EXCEPT: to ensure that from Windows 7 and no one can complain about pop-ups that say you can't double-sided and if you say that the impression in any case it works, this driver comes to 'automatic' in duplex printing options! Only no, sidedbrochure manual and left/right are left... a small blip: If you pass in the printer HP properties to a profile property to another and then quickly move on two-sided printing, you're just able to see 'automatic' disappear...

Oh yes, the 7280 has a flow to the stack of paper, if you have a manual duplex?  Don't not without out all the paper...

Then, HP conviction IS on their Web page... go here: compatibility Windows 7 for HP stuff page

and you'll find a matrix, saying: C7280 driver included in windows 7 (for "sort" indeed a driver is there) and you can download it from HP (both checked green)... The HP page (follow the link at the bottom of page) DOES NOT show a selection of Windows 7...

Why the hell are we actually still our dear money on HP?  The entire industry IT wouldn't be better if they just went bankrupt? Just stop buying their ink and it will happen...

A simple solution: go into the folder printers, do a right-click on the C7280 printer properties device settings and set the unit double-sided "installed", OK.

  • Photosmart C4795 on fall back on the deployment of Airprint for 2011 schedule?

    Hello:

I recently bought the printer Photosmart C4795 wireless in September or October 2010. It is not on the deployment schedule of Airprint for 2010 on the PDF on HP support.

Would you know if The Photosmart C4795 wireless printer will be on a schedule of deployment of Airprint for 2011 or internal parts rely before the deadline of compatibility?

I want to upgrade this printer to be Airprint compatible.

    Thank you!

    Ziffel

One of the main requirements for Airprint is the must have ePrint printer.  I do not see the C4795 on ePrint models list, so it will not work with Airprint.

Another solution is HP iPrint, it allows to print Apple portable devices via a 802.11 wireless connection.

Here is a link to a document iPrint, it will show you how to get HP iPrint.

  • HP All in One Photosmart C7280 scan issue with Snow Leopard

    Hello

I bought my wife a new cool Mac mini. So it comes with Snow Leopard. We use it for our activities with an HP printer all in one Photosmart C7280. Unfortunately the scanner does not work. I did the mistack to install HP driver from the HP website and read after documentation of the HP Web site (probably like all users). So I decided to completely re-installed the machine (as it was new) and follow the installation procedure for HP who, to say that the pilot is coming up with Snow Leopard. After the new re - install, so I installed 10.6.1 patches and last HP driver from the site Web Apple as mentioned in the forum. (version 2.2)

The printer is correctly detected, but there is no way mak it work the scanner on HP procedures. The scanner is not recognized at all, and the printer configuration window is not appearing the scanning tab as it is supposed to. It seems that the scan part it does not work in one.

We love HP printer and it will be great to see it fixed.

My network configuration is very simple:

-192.168.0.176 is the IP address of the HP printer with 255.255.255.0 netmask

-192.168.0.106 is the MacMini (3.1) IP address mask subnet even

All connected using a router D-Link (5 ports).

Printer/scan function works perfectly on our other Mac systems that are under Leopard. I tried to install Leopard on the new mac mini, but the installation DVD that we have (10.5.4) does not start successfully on the machine. We are so stuck.

    Any help really appreciated

    Jean-Marie

    Hello

Good news, it worked. But I think that the problem came from the D-Link router that I used. Upnp has been set to allow, and it seems he mistook the discovery of the device. I proceed to turn off and the live showed you me overdrawn the printer on the network. I installed it, and the scanner has been recognized.

If I turned my back to Activate Upnp, the scan function is dead. Thus, it probably is a problem of compatibility between the leopard to snow and this Protocol. What is strange, is that our whole system of leopard work with upnp enable or disable.

Anyway thanks a lot for your help!

  • Photosmart C7280 AIO: Installation of an earlier version of the AIO software to solve the problems of scanning?

I had nothing but troubles attempt at analysis of the Solution Center with my Windows 7 upgraded to professional to Home Premium.  I've seen a lot of posts on sysems that will print but not scan.  None of the solutions proposed on these threads has worked for me. I ran print and Scan of the doctor.  I've uninstalled and reinstalled the latest version (PS_AIO_02_Net_Full_Win_WW_130_140).  I run L4 uninstall and reinstalled the latest version.  I scanned my computer against viruses and malware.  I ran "SCF/scannow".  I have run memory scans.  I did "unplug everything" and reset.  I ran the product as an administrator.  I tried to run several compatibility modes.  This past for more than a week, and I was not inactive.  You name it I did it.  I don't want to turn on my computer to its configuration 2 years up to what I've exhausted all other possibilities.

Now for the real question (for those who have had this or similar questions)... Has anyone everything uninstalled and tried to install an older version (which can be improved later)?  My old version on my OLD XP laptop works fine.  I still have the older 100_228_PS_AIO_02_Full_Net_enu_NB verson of the installer.  If it will install (and work) on the WIN7PRO, I'd be happy.  Darn, I just try that anyway, but I would feel more comfortable if I knew that someone had tried (win or lose).

    All suggestions are solicited.

I have no recourse to the use of the old S/w.  I kept search some old discussions in this forum and finally a couple linked together which resulted in success (after several attempts at all the great suggestions that I had read in the forum).  BUT. one stands out because it spoke of my exact problem. Scanning from HP with my Photosmart C7280 solutions Center after the upgrade to Windows 7 Edition Home Premium to Windows 7 Professional.  The solution has been presented in a thread of 2009:

    http://h30434.www3.HP.com/T5/printer-all-in-one-software-drivers/after-Windows-7-upgrade-printer-is-installed-but-nothing/m-p/174825#M8248

I landed on this all to coincidentally linking 2010 regarding a similar issue but diferent (similar = upgrade, different = print):

    http://h30434.www3.HP.com/T5/printer-all-in-one-software-drivers/networked-C6280-and-Windows-7-64-bit/TD-p/217282

I am so happy that the old wires still exist in this forum.  The solutions are not always the most obvious, especially for those of us who have been around computers for almost 40 years and have some predisposed notions.

Thank you to everyone.  Now to save this thing before something else goes south.

  • The new Airprint

I have a Photosmart C7280. Anyone know how I can get Apple Airprint for work with my C7280?

It will not.  You need a new printer compatible e-print.  The oldest one was introduced in April 2010.

  • Tips before buying HP all in one wireless to work with mac and AirPrint

I am looking to buy a HP Officejet Pro 8600 as my current HP is on the blink (well I think it's that I posted here with my problem with the Office Jet Pro 8500 and now it does not work with my mac at just my PC windows) but I need to know if I buy a HP Officejet Pro 8600 can I upgrade the network and not only print , but the scan wireless (probably more AirPrint) to a Mac Book Pro (end of 2011 on the last updated firmware), or is there a better printer for this task which is so cheap that I do not use the fax, but I'm going to use all other options; I print about 300 pages per month, as we Exam course and working documents to be printed on a regular basis in my house, that's why I'm leaning towards an Office Jet.

    Can what advice you give?

Finally, what is the difference between a HP Officejet Pro 8600 and HP Officejet Pro more than 8600?

Sorry I'm so "wet behind the ears" when it comes down to this

    See you soon.

    Hello

The 8600 pro is a great printer, however, the 8500 is great too...

By looking at your original post the question more likely related to your network and not with the printer itself.

Before purchasing a printer new please try following the steps below and let me know if this can help, if the problem caused by your router you will instead see a similar behavior with the 8600 too:

Unplug the cable ehthernet on the side of the router, and then connect it directly to your Mac (a direct connection cable between the printer and the Mac itself).

Wait 2 - 3 minutes to allow the connection to fill and then open print & scanning.

Click on the sign more and add the printer listed as Hello.

Now start the software update from the Apple menu and check if you can scan via print & scan, Capture Image or excerpt:

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c03550518

If the analysis works by bypassing your network the problem caused by lack of compatibility Hello of the BT Home Hub, which can be called as Hello, mDNS, by different router or multicast IGMP manufactures...

I recommend you contact your router service provider to check if it supports this feature and if such can be activated by changing the settings of the router, a firmware update, etc.

You can find more info on this requirement in reviwing Solution 2: check your router for compatibility Hello in any information from Mac OS X in the document below:
