C7280 problem of Ethernet connection

I have a C7280 and it is connected by ethernet to my network.  Worked without any problems for a while, but when I turned it on today, it gets an IP address and then he loses.  When I check the Ethernet on the back, the green link light is coming and then jump - he's not stay lit.  Any thoughts?

The sequence of Ethernet autonegotiation between the printer and the router could be at fault.  Let's try an experiment:

  1. On the C7280, select settings, then network, then Advanced Configuration
  2. Select the link speed
  3. Try the 100-Full setting.  Does that help?

If 100 full does not help, try full 10 and 100-half and finally 10 half.

    Hello

I have a Netgear DGN2000 modem-router with 4 ethernet ports and wireless connectivity. I already connected a pc in an ethernet port and a laptop in another ethernet port and wireless. Everything works fine.

I bought 2 notebooks same, HP Compaq 610 with windows 7 Home premium and both with a marvell yukon 88E8042 fast ethernet controller and another a wireless card.

WiFi works fine for the two laptops with the router. But they can't connect via ethernet.

I tried all 4-port router, I tried with 3 different cables, I have tried with two firewalls (the laptop and the router) out, I set the router to its latest firmware and also each update for windows 7. I also tried to disconnect any connection between the router and I test a laptop each time and all ethernet ports router too. I tried hard reset my router too. Also an uninstall the network driver and rebooted the laptop to find him by his own and reinstall. But I still have the same problem.

I see the Green and orange laptop LED flashing for about 1 second and also the number of the port on the router connected but they can not connect so they all stop flashing. Then on 10-15 sec, they tried again, but still the same...

    Windows Network Diagnostics revealed that:

    "Problems found."

"An Ethernet cable is not plugged in correctly or maybe broken not being fixed.

The connection to the Local network showed that it is unplugged.

I run the windows Upgrade Advisor 7 and it said that all devices (and the netwrok adapter) are very good.

The adapter works correctly, as shown in its properties...

After all, I thought it was a problem with network cards. Of course, it was weird that this happens to two laptops, the same. So I tried the same cable that I used for my router and another router. They have both worked with the other router! This means that the adapters do not have a problem.

I have to talk to a technician of HP in Greece and I described the problem, but its response has been that it can find no problem with the laptop (which is not a lie as long as the NIC is working with the other router, I tried).

My router has no problem as long as it works properly with my pc via ethernet...

    So where is the problem?

    Can you help me please?

I only have an internet connection via ethernet. Now I can have wireless only.

I bought a new modem router (Belkin Wireless Router annexed part N USB) and now everything seems to work properly.

LAN speed is 100 Mbps, wireless network is also very good, so I guess the problem was my previous router.

Thank you guys for your responces anyway.

  • WiFi for computer laptop HP ENVY 15 and Ethernet connection problem

Hi, a few months ago, I brought a HP ENVY 15 Notebook PC running windows 8.1. It is connected to my wifi with Ralink RT3290 802.11bgn Wi - Fi adapter. My modem is a Technicolour TG582n 2 Wireless ADSL + with wireless 802.11 b/g/n compatible.

As soon as I got there I noticed a problem of internet where I would be able to connect to my home WiFi network and get full reception bars but would have a hard time to access Web sites on web browsers such as chrome, mozilla and internet explore pages takes some time to load and eventually reached a page "this webpage is not available" (for chrome). This problem seems to occur only with my home network as it can connect to public wifi and my wifi friends and yet I have many other devices such as laptops and other smartphones connected to my wifi that did not at all have poblems with internet and it just seems to be mine. When I connect via ethernet I get good connection for about 10 minutes and then I was completely cut off. However, I can upload a file via the wifi ok if I can get it to start and I can play a game online well enough but often disconnected after an hour or two.

I checked for new updates of pilot, but they seem to be up to date and im do not manually downloading and installing one on the hp site but I tried (I did probably wrong). I ran the diagnostic function, but it cannot detect all problems. I looked around the internet as well, but still havn't found a solution.

Also I got the laptop sent back and received a new but the same problem persisted and as I walked through the process of the person I was talking to a admitted that I had a problem like they remote limited from my laptop for a little for the access problem.

Please help, I've had this problem for a month or two now and is really becoming a problem since I use my laptop computer for purposes of requiring home internet work.

Thanks in advance and I hope you guys can help!

I understand that you have a problem with your connection Wireless at home. You are able to connect with full bars but are unable to access the web.   When you're lucky hours just access the Web, you can make a download if you get started in time or play games online for one or two before again declining. You ran the diagnostic function, but no problems were. You had the phone replaced for the same issue, but the replacement has the same question.

You know your network is an 802.11 G or 802.11n.   How do I know if my WiFi connects using 802.11n (as superuser)

    Please check this setting.

    1. Open the Device Manager
    2. Click the network adapters to expand the list
    3. Right click on the Ethernet connection, and choose Properties
    4. Click the power management tab
    5. "" Please check that ' allow the computer to turn off this device to save power "is not checked.
    6. Repeat this process for all types of listed under network adapters.

  • Ethernet connection problems

I just bought a Tablet from Lenovo TAB 2 10 - 30 and found that I can not get connected to the Internet because of problems with the power of the signal from my router. I have been using a PC for the year that I connect to the same router via an Ethernet cable, and it works very well, so I thought that I would just connect my Tablet Lenove in the same way. I have now bought a new cable (very long) Ethernet and mini-USB adapter, so it will connect on the Lenove tablet, I can get the * beep * thing to work. When I go into the settings, everything I see under "wireless network & ' is WLAN, but doen't seem to be an option to set up or recognize the Ethernet cable I connected on the tablet. Does anyone know how to get this tablet to connect to Internet with my Ethernet cable?

Another point: I'm sure the first time I ever took the Tablet out of his box and he started, I saw an option for WLAN network or LTE. I guess (maybe), I need LTE option to establish an Ethernet connection (although I could esily be wrong about that), only this option LTE has completely disappeared off the coast of the machine. Or if it's there, I don't know how to access.

    Thanks Dave

Yes, after some other investigation looks this tablet can not connect via Ethernet cable after all.

Fortunately I managed to pick up a singnal Wi - Fi, so I think I'll be able to connect to the web in this way after all.

    Thanks for your help.

I recently did a clean installation on an old PC and put XP on this machine, it did not find the driver for the ethernet connection and no matter where I'm looking, I can't get the Ethernet to work with that PC.  I get the error message about "the wizard cannot find your network hardware.  And that I must first install and configure your network cards... The network adapter is part of the motherboard.  All "network adapters" I check seem to be "working properly" according to messages.  Network adapters that are listed are:

    Miniport Wan WAN (L2TP)

Try to reset the router and the modem, if you have other devices that work always reset the router and the modem. Then if the problem persists, run Use Mail connection doctor - Apple Support by fashion that apple provides.

    Hi all

    Problem has been resolved.

Just in case someone else has the same problem, if you try to connect to a router and it communicates but don't connect does not then it might be a problem with the frequency to which you are trying to connect.

In this case, my laptop could connect only to a 5 GHz frequency but my router was capable of a frequency of 2.4 ghz, so he was able to connect to all the rest but not that. (Particularly if you use a hub SKY).

The problem has now been resolved by buying a wireless adapter card that plugs into the USB port. If you don't need to buy a Please make sure that buy you one with dual band capabilities.

I hope this helps someone in the future!

    Best regards

  • No Ethernet connection after connection GS105 switch

    Hi all

I have a few questions on our new bought GS105 switch. It is said that this model is a switch so that I can plug in the cables and make them communicate. However, when I connect to my laptop to pass, it shows an Ethernet connection, but when I click on this link, I can not connect. Why does this happen? What is my problem laptop OS or hardware problem or the problem of the switch? Thank you for helping me

    My goal:

I want to connect my laptop to two USRP to communicate. However, the USRP can only support GB Ethernet and my laptop don't have 10/100 Ethernet. So that they communicate, we bought this GS105 switch and connected the USRP and portable to move (this method according to https://forums.ni.com/t5/USRP-Software-Radio/usrp-2920-can-t-connect-to-PC-WindosXP/td-p/1920379 ). If it connects successfully with each other, I can run the "uhd_find_devices" command in the Terminal and see information on the devices. However, I can't find any UHD device which means that there is a connection problem.

    The methods I've tried:

    • Connected the Ethernet cables and cables for power for several times - did not work
    • Check the lights on the switch - good times (lamps for cable USRP) and the left light on my laptop
    • Clicking on the "Wired connection" icon in my laptop, all the lights flash; However, after a while my phone showed "disconnected."
    • Tried another ASUS RT - N16 - worked

    System information:

    • OS: Ubuntu 16.04
    • : Computer laptop Ethernet Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. RTL8101/2/6th PCI Express Fast/Gigabit Ethernet controller (rev 07)
    • USRP Ethernet ports: Gb Ethernet

Problem solved because the USRP IP address is: 192.168.10.X. I can't install wired for DHCP automatic. Should I manually set the IP address and also try to avoid the collision of IP address.

  • Slow down webpage loading w/Ethernet connection

    Hello

I have a Z580 Ideapad with an internet connection cable 30mbps (under Win8.1). I tested the modem cable with a number of laptops in my house, and the Ideapad is the only one that expires on a regular basis on the loading of Web pages.

    What I tried:

    1. Update Realtek Ethernet driver to the latest version

    2. changed to the servers DNS of Google ads (no difference in cable operators)

3 power settings changed to High Performance (rather than the balance or the setting of the battery)

    4. disabled IPV6 on the ethernet adapter

The problem seems to be random. Pages will load more quickly, and then suddenly they all then expire (such as google and sold). When I ping the url and the ip address, then they expire during these periods.

The problem is definitely with the laptop and not as such cable connection. The modem has no need to be reset, the other laptops in the House of pages Web loads normally.

    Thanks for all the suggestions.

    Hey @George5500,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

I understand your JO 6830 unresponsive when it is in standby when you are using the Ethernet connection, but it does not occur when connected via USB.

We will perform a hard reset. To do this, leave the printer and unplug the power cable for 1 minute. While it is unplugged, press and hold the power button on the printer for 10-15 seconds to release built his power, then after the minute, plug the printer in. Also, even if you have used a surge protector/power bar this whole time and you feel this isn't the cause, please plug it in to a wall outlet so that we can eliminate the source of energy as the primary cause.   Questions when it is connected to an uninterruptible power supply/Strip/surge protector power

  • Problem with internet connection Wi - Fi Windows XP - very 'slow' packages

Hi people, this problem has been driving me crazy for weeks, so I wonder if someone can provide a solution! Sorry for the long post, but I tried to put in as much information as possible.

In short, I decided to rebuild an old laptop in Windows XP (2006) I (latest updates installed). I'm without audio (cannot find drivers), but this isn't so much a problem. The problem needs to connect to the WiFi.

The internal WiFi card is an Intel (r) PRO/Wireless 2200BG (or, at least, it's the driver).

WiFi is displayed as 'Connected' and ' Signal strength: Excellent "(as my laptop is sitting right next to the hub). Ethernet (wired) connection to the hub works perfectly. I have WiFi BT working connects perfectly with my Mac and my iPod, I know that there is absolutely no problem with the router.

However, my laptop does not seem to want to connect WiFi, despite 'positive' messages above. All browsers (IE, Chrome, Firefox) display a message stating that they cannot connect to the internet. Nothing in browsers suggest that all DNS settings have been changed.

I * think * the problem might be because the packets sent/received are still very low - if either enter three digits, I have a lot of luck. For now, they are stuck on envoys = 14, received = 3.

So, what I have checked/tried is the following (all based on Google search) - none have worked:

    (1) I can confirm that the automatic Wireless Configuration is enabled, started and set to automatic, and that Windows is used to set up my network.
    (2) my wireless network appears in my favorite networks and is automatically connected to (or should be :-)) - I have added/removed the connection several times, check the wireless key, every time, without success.)
    (3) the TCP/IP menu is configured to obtain an IP address and a DNS service automatically.
    (4) type ipconfig/all at the command prompt seems to show that everything works OK:

    • The physical address is: 00-16-xx-xx-xx-xx (I removed the last few digits as it is an open forum, but is probably not a security issue)
    • DHCP is enabled.
    • Automatic configuration is enabled.
    • The IP address is 192.xxx.x.xx (as above)
    • Subnet mask is 255.255.255.0
    • Default gateway, DHCP and DNS server are all the 192.xxx.x.xxx (as above)

However, IP routing is NOT enabled or is Proxy WINS. Node type appears as unknown.

I tried the DNS, IP address in the command line (don't remember the command), hot flashes reset everything I can think of or have found via an internet search.

I also tried the two separate Wireless USB key (only install the drivers - now deleted), which is not working.

I am so right in thinking that everything seems OK, except the transfer of packages very low? Anyone who has any other control I can try - or better yet, a potential solution?

    Thank you!
