C875 satellite - system Langauge stucks in Norwegian

I am trying to help someone. When he ran first of sound for laptop Toshiba Satellite C875 (bought in England), he felt that it should have selected Norwegian, and now everything is Norwegian.

Even if I run the recovery partition by starting with pressed F8 - all is Norwegian.

Anyone know if there is some way to do a factory reset, so the laptop starts in a State out - of - factory?

Hello

Maybe it could help you:
+ Windows 8 recovery & Repair +.
http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/KB0/TSB2A03ES0000R01.htm

I recommend you to choose the option called reset your PC.
This would create the system back to factory settings. As far as I know, you should be able to choose another language.

But I remember in the past (Windows 7) that this language could choose only one time.
After that the other languages have been removed from the partition, and it was not possible to choose another language.

However, recommend that you check reset it your PC + option +.

But he was now locked in a loop of "system configuration" with several reboots during more than an hour - that makes any sense?

It is stuck at it and will go no further, says administration system to log in however its not allowing to connect or to do anything about this or off farm then restart, I tried factory reset, but it will not work at all I've tried several attempts with 0 and other options, told me it does not work , but I can get up f2 and f8 loading up all that works well but I find no option to factory reset. It gives me options to recover, but they take the same screen with no improvement and safe mode does not work.

I hope someone can help me I will be very grateful.

    Thank you in advance.

At first, I must say that recovery option is available if the laptop to factory settings. After reading your ad I n don't know if you still use OS install of origin that you got with your laptop or maybe the OS preinstalled on your own.

I assume that you did not create a media recovery (DVD) use pre-installed Toshiba recovery media creator, right?
In the use of your disk recovery situation could be simpler to solve this problem and install original recovery image.

Can you please post model mobile exact?

  • Satellite U840 PSU4SA stuck in an infinite loop of Boot

I really hope someone can help me.

My wife's cell phone is stuck in a boot loop which is continuous.

    When you press the power button, the Toshiba logo appears, and then it goes to the screen of the BIOS with the following information;

"The operating system has not stopped cleanly.
    Reconstructiong Metadata Cache.
Please do not interrupt this process.

Reading packaged metadata in memory... Fact.
Processing the record Delta... 1 "

.. .and then it dies, returns to the Toshiba logo and repeats. Ad nauseam.

I tried to start in safe mode by pressing Fn + F12, nothing helps. I took the base of the laptop to try to remove the battery but I am no expert of PC hardware, and I didn't ruin it.

All specifications are; Toshiba Satellite U840
    Part No. PSU4SA - 015005
Windows 7 64 bit Home Premium.

I have Linux Mint, installed on a USB key. I would like to boot from USB (no CD/DVD-RW in this ultrabook) to retrieve the data if possible.

Should I remove the SSD and HARD drive? I have read a few forums who say that often have Windows 7 on the SSD can cause this problem.

    Hello

    Try this workaround:
Power of the device and press F8 key up
Now the advanced boot menu should appear where you can choose between different options.
I recommend you try the option last good known configuration.
If this does not work, try the option: my computer repair.
Here, choose the first option above.

Of course start from the live Linux USB flash memory stick would allow you to get access to data and back up important files.

    Hello

The message looks like the laptop will not boot the disc.

The question is: is this a problem with the new recovery disks, or perhaps with Notepad

To be honest, I think his recovery disk problem, and maybe you will need contact the drive vendor to replace the recovery media.

    But before that, try this:
    Switch on and press F2.
Now you should be able to access the BIOS. Set the CD/DVD device in the first starting position here. Also, to clear the safe boot option from the UEFI CSM.
Now to boot from the recovery disc.

Would be interesting to know what is happening

Graphics card problem may be possible but in this case the POST (power on self test) would not be passed, and in my opinion, it is not possible to access the BIOS.

    However, it's just a theory
Try to start Notepad using some Live CD like Linux

I would also recommend to start the advanced boot menu. (by pressing F8) and choose repair my computer option.
    Then select Toshiba HDD recovery

This option would be to recover the laptop back to factory settings.

  • Re: Satellite L500-1WH stuck when updating BIOS

    Hi all

I have a Toshiba Satellite L500-1HW, and today TEMPRO shown to me three alerts, one of them on a BIOS update. When I tried to run the application to update the BIOS (Phoenix UEFI WinFlash) he completed the first four steps, "Load the new BIOS", "Analyze old and new BIOS compatibility ', 'Reading old BIOS' and 'Save old BIOS to the backup file', but when he reached the stage of the las,"New Flash BIOS", he got stuck displaying the message 'Region of programming Bios... '. ». Now the laptop is turned on and in fact I can use it as the application of the BIOS update does not block the system, but I don't know what to do, I dare not just to finalize the program because I don't know if the BIOS is right.

Please help me with this problem.

    Thank you.

    Hey,.

Do you have any other programs like Internet browser, Skype or something else? All programs must be closed before you start the update of the BIOS, even AntiVirus, firewall, etc. In addition, the update should be done as an administrator

In General, the BIOS update is not necessary. If only TEMPRO presents a new version, there is no reason to update. Never touch a running system ;)

  • Toshiba satellite which is stuck in the installation of service Pack 1. I have service pack 2, can not fix with this cd, can I install service Pack 2 on it without loss of data or files?

I have the laptop (Toshiba satellite) friend who's stuck in the installation of the service Pack 1.  I have service pack 2 and am wondering, since I can't fix with this cd, can I install service Pack 2 on it without loss of data or files?

PC claims service pack1 cd with file asms

When you use service pack 2 cd can not load product catalogues, it is fatal error, the Setup logs files should contain more information.

Why not integrate Service Pack 2 and Service Pack 3 on her XP CD by following the instructions here (using another PC):

    http://en.community.Dell.com/support-forums/software-OS/w/microsoft_os/1443.aspx
Copy all data on an external hard drive, do a clean install using the XP CD updated (preferably on the BIOs)
Then, install the drivers from the system, then Microsoft Security Essentials, Windows 7 Firewall Control (XP free Version) and Malwarebytes' AntiMalware (free or Pro) or whatever you prefer security.
    Then copy the files over.
This will probably lead to the best performance.

  • Satellite A300-1RZ - stucks Windows 7 upgrade on the first step of the installation

    Hi all

I'm Italian, I an A300 Satellite with Vista Home Premium I paid 30 euros for the free upgrade to Windows 7, which reached my House yesterday. I got 2 DVD:
-1 to 'prepare' my phone: * TOSHIBA UPGRADE DVD *.
-1 upgrade operating system: * WINDOWS 7 HOME PREMIUM UPGRADE DVD *.

+ The first step: + use the first DVD: all right, "the system is ready to install Windows 7, insert the second dvd. When I insert the other, I accept the license and after that, the first step of the installation: * "check system compatibility."
    * These steps is my problem.*

I reworded more than 10 times the praxis but it blocks at this stage, I left the laptop at this stage, throughout the night, but today morning she was always there, no progress, it is clear that there is a problem, but I do not understand if it depends on my cell phone or on the DVD.

I tried to boot the laptop with Windows 7 DVD inside, start the system by the DVD, but it ask me to format the partition where are the files of vista and is not an upgrade. I bought an upgrade just do not remove previous programs and do not format the first partition of the drive of my laptop.

  • Satellite L675-10T stucks in a black screen after the new RAM upgrade

    Hi all

I recently decided to upgrade the memory in my laptop pretty.
I went online, has adapted Rams and ordered.

What I got are 2 of them:
    http://www.offtek.co.UK/RAM-specification/Toshiba/Toshiba-laptop-memory/satellite-L675-10T/pid921300

The installation is very easy, but as soon as I turn on my laptop, it stucks in a black screen with a straight white line underscore.

I guess it's an incompatibility problem?
    Could you please help me?

    Thank you.

I think you're right, it seems that the modules are not totally compatible, even if the online retailer page says they are
You can remove the new RAM modules just to check if the laptop to boot up properly I guess correctly the unit upwards.

Solution? Use a different RAM modules I had good experience using modules from Kingston, they might be a little expensive, but I think they should work correctly.

  • Satellite P500-190 stuck in a loop

Well, I try to summarize what has happened so far.

I have a Toshiba Satellite P500-190 has started acting as each task is too big for him, constantly showing disk hard loading, programs did not respond for a while... then I ran the reconverty tool, reset the c drive, the problem still there.

I ran all the error detection of characteristics of pc, no hardware problems or software detected. So I installed malwarebytes anti-malware and ran a scan, it finds errors, but before I could act, the program froze again no response. Press ctrl alt del, black screen, no response... reboot. Now my dosent pc even trying to start windows, only error detection program and each restart goes like this, even after going through the program as it is said.
I tried to get to the other menus of repair, but it says I must be logged in to do this.

    Any ideas how to continue?

    Hi bug

Please reinstall the recovery image and boot OS without having to install additional stuff.
Do not connect to the internet and check the functionality. Open some pre-installed apps and see if they will not work correctly.

Play around with these factory settings and let us know if there is a problem.

How old is your Satellite P500?

  • L750 PSK2YV satellite: System unhandled thread exception (athwbx.sys)

I upgraded my laptop Toshiba L750-A-210 (short number: PSK2YV) for windows 8.1 pro of win 7.
but now windows crashes on every restart and I can not log on the system, also I can not recover because I deleted the recovery partition in order to install the windows 8, but I have it on another hard drive.

    * do you have any ideas on solving this issue.*
I read a few threads on the web and apparently it's a compatibility issue with the Qualcomm site says toshiba wireless adapter also my laptop model is not supported for 8 upgrade.
I just want my laptop for win 7

PS windows displays this error: system_thread_exception_not_handled (athwbx.sys)

    my laptop specs:
    http://www.toshibamea.com/TechnicalSupportDetails.aspx?PageID=21&ProductID=5 0203

    Best regards

    Hello

The athwbx.sys belongs to the Atheros driver it seems that the installed Atheros Wlan driver isn't entirely compatible by Windows 8.1 System.
You can try remove / uninstall the driver in order to solve this problem.

If you have not created the disc of recovery in the past, then, you will not be able to recovery laptop back to the factory for Win 7 settings
I guess you will need to order the Toshiba recovery media in the event that you want to reuse the Win 7.

By the way: your laptop model was released in the United States, then you should check the page of forum and Toshiba USA support for the driver update.

By the way; Here's a similar topic forum thread:
