  I have a Touchsmart IQ 775 that has a single output to the external monitor port, with a configuration of "mini-vga. This configuration is apparently unknown in the industry, cable television and even HP.

  I really need to connect the computer to a large VGA monitor and need this cable/adapter, also known as the name of a cable "crossfire." I've seen a number of products, 5188-7281, but this number is apparently the cable that connects the port at the Mo, not an external cable. Surely it is a source somewhere in this big world for this little card mini-vga, RGB/VGA standard, right?  Like the processor fan, who fails each Touchsmart IQ-700 series, they are simply not available (unless you want to pay more than the cost of replacing all of the computer!)

  The machine is 'only' 5 years old, I know is a life in the world of technology, but these cables/adapters must be somewhere! Any ideas? I REALLY need this cable!

  Try this:

  (1) go to C:\Windows\INF

  (2) type "wpdmtp.inf" in the search provided to the right of the address bar in Windows 10 bar.

  (3) once you found, just right-click on it and select Install. Very, it will take a few seconds.

  (4) connect your device to the computer.

  If that does not work, connect your phone and try again.

• USB converter with serial GPS error

  I recently created a program to record GPS data from a Garmin GPS18 antenna.  The GPS uses a serial port on the docking station for my laptop for the communication and USB for power.  To deploy this application to a location in the field, I need to use a USB converter to series because the laptop itself is not a serial port.  The program works very well using the docking station and it is a serial port, however, when you try to use the converter USB to serial it mistake systematically.  The typical error is-1073807523, "VISA Read in GPS18_read.vi."  I saw an error that read something like "property (point 8) in VISA node configure Serial Port (Instr) .through - > GPS18_read.vi '.

  For troubleshooting, I used 'PuTTYtel' and checked that I can read the GPS18 via the USB Serial Converter, without problems.  Used serial settings are 19200 baud, 8 data bits, 1 stop bit, no parity and no flow control.  But when you try to play using the LabView vi, it throws errors mentioned earlier.  Any suggestion would be appreciated!

  As above: Some Acers also have a wireless connection, button on / off, so make sure it is not disabled there. I'm not sure if your model or not, but check to see if it is disabled there. It may be "Fn" + "F key" or a real hard switch (that I had on my Acer).
