Calibration Executive

I use to perform external calibration and adjustment on the module, PXI - 4070 FlexDMM Cal Exec 3.2.2.

How to access the comments field to include additional information?

Thank you!

Hello Philippe,

You can use the LabVIEW VI to set what appears in the comment field.

We'll find these VI in the LabVIEW function palette. Go to IO action > DMM OR > calibration > calibration utility.

Use the VI, to initialize the first DMM as shown in the image below.

After you run the VI above, the comment for the device field is as follows

Does that help?

  • Calibration Executive is unable to generate pdf reports

I Calibration Executive 3.4.1 and he ceased to generate a pdf, word, or excel reports. It always generates the text and html reports. I reinstalled cal exec and made sure he like all current updates. The only thing we have changed recently installed DAQmx-9, 4. I drove back to DAQmx - 9.3 that hasn't helped. If the default ratio is defined in pdf format, no report is generated. It will not open as any report earlier. It gives an error message saying the path is incorrect file is corrupt. The path is correct and the old pdf open just fine with Adobe (version 8 standard). Someone knows something similar or has any advice about what to watch next. Thanks for any help!

Solution: the latest revision of JAVA has been altered causing the error. Remove and reinstall a clean version of JAVA and fixed the problem.

  • Calibration procedure for a NI 9208 using Calibration Executive

Is there a procedure to calibrate the NI 9208 using Calibration Executive?  I am currently using Calibration Executive 3.4.1 and I do not see this listed module in the Types of devices to menu drop-down.

This device appears to me, NEITHER Max, so I don't think that my drivers would be obsolete.

I can't seem to find a complete list of procedures for one of the Executive of the calibration of the versions on the Web site of NOR is this information available online?

    Thank you

    Hi Alex,

No problem.  If the device is not listed in the module falling down and is not in the help, then it is not supported with the 3.4.1.  If you need this support, you will need to upgrade to a newer version.

    Thank you

  • PCIe-7852R and OR USB-7856R OEM Calibration with Calibration Executive

Can I calibrate PCIe-7852R and NI USB-7856R OEM with NI Calibration Executive?

    How?

Our version of National Instruments Calibration Executive Software is 3.5 and it has no procedures to OEM PCIe-7852R and NI USB-7856R products.

    Hello

There are several ways to calibrate your instruments.

First of all, the help file for the calibration of R Series devices to the Calibration Executive can be found by navigating using the Executive of Calibration > calibration device > data acquisition (DAQ) devices > NI dynamic signal Acquisition > NI R series calibration procedure

You can also follow the instructions in the following document.

    http://www.NI.com/PDF/manuals/372004d.PDF

Finally, you can also calibrate your software for the R Series devices using the calibration installed with the drivers. You can get "calibrate the device 78xxr" and run the executable file to calibrate your devices.

    Thank you.

  • Time-out error when you try to calibrate a PXI-6552 using Calibration Executive.

I make a mistake I never saw elsewhere trying to calibrate a PXI-6552 using Calibration Executive. We have been calibrating these cards for 3 years and never had a problem. The error I get has to do with the HP 3458 A DMM taking a reading.

1074126845 error occurred at IviDMM Read.vi in audit generation step voltage
The possible reasons: maximum time state of the driver (Hex 0xBFFA2003) exceeded before the operation is complete.
The primary error: (Hex 0xBFFF0015) timeout expired before the operation is complete.

As soon as Cal Exec implements the PXI-6552 module then will take a reading of the 3458A what an SRQ message on the 3458A, then the error message above appears in Cal Exec. I tried to reinstall the drivers OR DMM. The voltage on the meter screen is good for the first stage (5.5 volts DC), but it times out and gives me the error as indicated.

Nevermind, I got the latest drivers and install and everything works fine now.

  • calibration Executive report failure

Hello. I have a problem regarding the report generated by the Executive of the calibration. After a successful completion of the procedure for the PXI-5402 generator with no failure, it generates failures on the column "as left" of the results of the tests. I noticed that the low limits and high limits of the column "as left" differs from the limits "as found". is this acceptable? in the left data limits are much tighter than the data that is found as a result of the values measured for fail in the report.

    Please advise...

    Kind regards

    Laura

    Hello

These results make sense, given that the column "As Left" is supposed to reflect the results measured after adjustment. That's why this column limits are more stringent than the column ' as found '. I wasn't aware that you were doing a check only. It's actually good that both of your tests more strict limits, which means that they held their initial calibration well enough.

Basically, the label of 'Failure' in the column "As Left" is meaningless, unless you're of failing once you have made an adjustment to the Board of Directors. I think you're ready for the verification of the calibration stage since none of the measures ' as found ' failed. Have fun with the adjustments.

  • Controll PXI-4072 via VISA

    Hello

I try to communicate with the PXI-4072 using VISA drivers. I m using Fluke MetCal / MetTrack to calibrate the 4072 and want to

do this automatically, without use of th niDMM FrontPanel.

But MetTrack Fluke will scan only the RS232, LAN, GPIB and USB Bus for a device, not the PXI chassis.

Anyone know a solution to calibrate or adjust the PXI - 4072 FlexDMM (or any device PXI)?

    Thank you

    Robert

You must use the API OR-DMM to calibrate the 4072. The generic driver of VISA will not cut, because you will not be able to log of calibration, take action, make adjustments, or really do much else than reading/writing specific registers, which is not supported or recommended. In addition, you cannot use the Soft Front Panel for calibration, as this must be done in a very specific order at a meeting of calibration.

I do not personally know with MetCal/MetTrack, but it seems that Fluke has provided certain procedures for the PXI-4065 and USB-4065. Since they don't seem to have a procedure published for the PXI-4072, if you want to use MetCal, you will need to code your own version of NOR published the calibration process, which is installed with NOR-DMM and is also available via this link (I searched ni.com for "4072 calibration").

In general, for any device PXI, you don't want to use VISA to communicate, but rather use the appropriate API, calling in DLLs of the API (nidmm_32.dll or nidmm_64.dll in the case of NOR-DMM).

Your other alternative is to use NI Calibration Executive, who has the procedure of calibration for all the NOR-DMM ready to go.

Please let us know if we can be of further assistance.

  • How to calibrate NI 9263 & NI 9215

    Hi all

I'm trying to re - calibrate these 2 devices. I have read the documents OR officials on this procedure and I do not understand what he wants me to do. I created the VI in the document but I'm not sure how that helps me with the calibration.

I need the calibration because there seems to be a noise in my data. For example when a value should be zero, I get negative values which I can't write my devices.

I have attached the pdf that I downloaded from the Web site of NOR and the VI who built for calibration.

Any help or suggestions you can give me will be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

    msmartei

    Hello MSMARTEI,

the calibration procedure shows you, how to measure the signals emitted by the unit.

so you can see if your device is in series with the specifications or not.

If the device is out of reach and you want to rewrite the internal register of the card.

You need a software called calibration executive http://sine.ni.com/nips/cds/view/p/lang/de/nid/12547

and the necessary equipment for your device to rewrite records.

The VI´s must be connected together to perform the measurements.

    Best regards

  • Installation procedures w / all Cal Exec, getting corrupt files Error 1335.

We bought just Calibration Executive v3.3 with all procedures, then we can expand our capabilities in the laboratory of metrology. While installing procedures of the discs, I get errors of corruption (1335) for all the cabins on each disc. I tried to copy the disks to the hard drive and get the same error. We are running windows xp w/sp2. Any ideas what's wrong with the discs? I have a minimal programming experience, but am willing to do all that is necessary to get the software running and upward. We are down in this area, as I removed the old Cal Exec 2.0 already.

Have you tried it on another computer just to make sure that's not the optical drive? You should also try to temporarily disable all antivirus software. It is possible you have a bad batch of discs - it has been known to occur. If you contact your representative local sales OR they may be able to get you a new together pretty quickly. Maybe even to stay overnight it to you.

  • Toolkit ECU Measurement and Calibration does not run when I build an executable.

I did a LabVIEW application that communicates with a target using CCP (with ECU Measurement and Calibration Toolkit).

The source code of LabVIEW works OK, but when I create a .exe file, it does not work.

I tried to copy the Toolkit ECU Measurement and Calibration dll:s in the same folder as the .exe file, but I still get error messages.

What should I do to get the run .exe file?

Do you have you created an "Installer" and installed on the laptop?

If yes have you selected this Toolkit (ECU Measurement and Calibration Toolkit) to add to the installer when creating the same thing?

    Just try this approach once...

  • Color calibrator may not work correctly, because the display does not fill screen.

I have a Thinkpad W520 with 1920 x 1080 HD display and the color sensor. I tried to run the color standard application but always, she will work until the end but cannot process measures. So I opened the lid in the middle of a calibration and discovered that the color screen that is supposed to be seen by the sensor is not full screen, thus preventing the color measurement sensor. How can I set the graphics so that this application is displayed full-screen when executing? Thank you.

Yes. But I just solved the problem. I set my display to display the text, icons, etc., to 150% of normal resolution. Somehow, he was causing the application displays only a partial screen. I set the magnification to 125% and now the standard color works very well.

  • Calibration system as a solution of nonlinear equations

    Nice day

The challenge of the day is to provide a calibration for a release of the accelerometer, expressed as a binary value.

I have an accelerometer whose operating range can be set (±2g, ±4g ±8g).  The accelerometer itself then generates a binary value to 16-bit resolution.  Therefore, only 2 ^ 16 value (0-65535) represents an acceleration value of which depends on the lines we have.

So we make the asumption that the response is linear, which allows us to claim:

Acceleration = scale x value binary + Offset

I have three axes of a value of data, accelerometer A, B and C.  If I hold the stationary accelerometer, the only thing that I should be reading is acceleration due to gravity, g.  It makes me of the relationship

    (A) ^ 2 + (B) ^ 2 + (C) ^ 2 = g ^ 2

Since then, in any direction, the magnitude of the combination of all the three readings of the acceleration must be the gravitational acceleration (and that shouldn't change little matter which side you happen be pointing the accelerometer).

What gives me, then, is a non-linear relationship of 6 variables (scale factors three and three shifts). I should be able to take six measures in an arbitrary orientation that will give me six output values of each had.  Then I should be able to get out the scale factors and offsets for each accelerometer, either in terms of g or with respect to which, in my opinion, g is.

So, my question is how can I get Labview to do this?  I see that there is a tool to solve linear equations, but I don't see one appropriate for the non-linear case.  I'm also very comfortable believing that I'm just missing it :-)

    Thank you!

Since the help file detail to the nD nonlinear system Solver.vi:

    Formula Variables VI analysis

The formula analysis screws accept only the following variables:

Note  These same variables to specify the description of the chain of the formula for the adjustment of non-linear curve VI.

    a, a0,..., a9

    b, b0,..., b9

    .

    .

    .

    z, z0,..., z9

For variable and function names, only lower-case letters are allowed. Screw interpret case as errors.

    1. I found this by opening the Panel before the nonlinear Solver VI when executing your VI. The error information said that there was a problem with the formula.

    2. I replaced the Scale__ and Offset__ variables with a0, a1, b0, b1, c0 and c1 in tables X and f (x).

    3. I have expanded the values start and end - 10 and 10.

This seems to work much better. At least it runs.

  • Checking the time of calibration

I have a requirement to perform a daily calibration of an instrument on a daily basis.  Time of calibration should be configurable by the user.  So what I've done is created a menu item which allows the driver to control the time of the user.  In addition, I have a file where I store the last time of the calibration.  So, in my routine, I perform the calibration if it has been more than a day since the last calibration or current time is greater than the daily duration of calibration set.   For this last condition, there is always a possibility that calibration could get done before the interval of 24 runs IE: initially, the daily calibration lasted from 21:00 and then the operator decided to change it to 08:00 the next morning, so calibration running after 11 hours.

However, if I implemented the OR condition as follows:

Currently > calibration set time.  Current time is older than the last time of calibration 1 day, I meet the problem that calibration will be executed every time the current time > calibration set time, while I do want the calibration to run once if the time has changed.  I am faced with the logic of how to apply it.  I'm looking for experts or the forum for helping me overcome the intellectual obstacle right now.

You can store in the file next time 'expected Calibration.  This would be fixed everytime user updates the test station.  This could also be set whenever a calibration is performed (when the calibration is done, set it to 24 hours from now, or the next time expected calibration).  You would only need to check if the current time is greater than the expected calibration time.

  • Revolve 810 G2 Executive pen does not work

    Hello

Revolve 810 G2 / Windows 8.1, all updates (Microsoft and HP) are carried out.

Pen is not recognized. I can't find any driver associated with feather on the HP page turning G2.

What I've read, the Pen 'pen tablet HP Executive R1' reference must match a G1 not turn a G2.

    Is this correct?

Although this pen would work with a G2 810 or pen is dead on arrival, or a driver issue?

I read a lot about the customers disappointed on the pen of the revolution, when they compare themselves to the generation 2740.

    G2 solved this?

  • No camera profile in the choice to develop chapter calibration

I have Lightroom 2.6 installed on my desktop computer, as well as on my laptop.  The two are running Win7 64-bit.  The Standard Adobe and Standard camera profiles will not appear as choices in the Panel calibration on my desktop computer, but they are showing on my laptop for the same images.  I can see the profiles of school boards for my Pentax K20D in C:\Program Data\Adobe\CameraRaw\CameraProfiles, but they are not a choice in the drop-down list of calibration.  I don't see ACR 4.4.  On my laptop, all three are available as choice.

The only other difference between the facilities, I had the demos Lightroom 2.5 and CS4 installed on the desktop before I settled on Lightroom.  At the time I bought Lightroom, 2.6 was so I installed that on the demo of 2.5 and just added my product key.  Lightroom 2.6 has been installed on the laptop immediately.

I don't see any configuration option for everything related to the camera profiles and put profiles in C:\Users\Myuser\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\CameraRaw\CameraProfiles does nothing.  I have also seen somewhere on the net to delete the index.dat in this directory, then restart Lightroom so rebuilt the cache profile, but this had no effect for me.

I'm puzzled.  Can anyone shed some light on this for me?  Perhaps some obscure registry entry somewhere?

You can try to download and running profiles updated camera update program for cab and see if she does something to make visible profiles.

This option is available if you go to

    http://www.Adobe.com/downloads/updates

and then ACR 5.6, then the link to the top that leads to the manual update to Photoshop Elements... which is a ZIP that contains the program executable setup of profiles with a 32-bit and 64-bit of the ACR plugin version.
