Call the flow of VCS-E and VCS - C

Hi all

I'm looking for some documents describing the call flow of VCS-E and VCS - C in H.323 as the jpg I have attached.

(Especially when endpoint dials on internet to the intranet)

Are there documents like tthat?

Best regards

Kotaro Hashimoto

Call the stream while VCS - E uses the SANCTION for traversal Protocol (almost identical even use H.460.18 to signal flow).

Please note that this call flow only not understand key messages each Exchange of messages between VCS & endpoint as well as VCS-E & VCS - C.

  • Why VideoTexture displays the flow of my camera and flv as partially transparent?

When you use VideoTexture my camera stream and flv is rendered partially transparent. This problem is intermittent. When you use a c920 camera Logitech the VideoTexture seems to be rendered all the pixels, as expected. But with a camera Axis P12, the pixels are always transparent (on Windows 8). When you use .flv Server RTMP streams, decoded pixels are sometimes rendered transparent, other times completely opaque. This behavior is also interesting when one iOS 8 and iPhone 6 into account. If I play a stream flv on Windows and it is partially transparent. But then to deploy the same code on iPhone 6, the flv stream makes it totally opaque, as expected.

  • call the owner VI several times

    Hi all

I try to call the owner VI several times and was not sure if it's possible. I try to call the same VI in a VI with different condition.

I have this VI as active with reentrant template (VI_1), and inside the loop, he calls another instance of this model (let's call it VI_2) and wait for the completion called VI (VI_2) and proceed to the next action. The problem, it's wait until done does not wait even if I set it to True. Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong? or even if this is possible.

    Thank you in advance.

    So the VI calls himself?

If so, you can drop the VI to its own diagram if it is defined in the version of LabVIEW 2009 neres and later.

  • Understand the flow of appeal through VCS c/e

    Hey Geeks,

I write this to understand "how to work things. Here's the design.

I have a VCSC configured with the name of the domain example.com SIP (we have internal DNS server to resolve)

I have a VCSe configured with the name of the cisco.com SIP domain (we have external DNS server to make globally routable)

I create a link bw VCSC and VCSe course.

How the call will flow between the Ep A and B Ep

    Scenario a.

My Ep A is [email protected] / * / dials Ep B Jabber client (user) recorded on VCSe [email protected] / * /

How call flows; I understand that the flow of the beginning IE Ex 90 will send a register message to VCSC etc etc.

    Scenario B:

If Ep A [email protected] / * / call a 3rd party (distinct) = (inter appeal cases) End point ie [email protected] / * /

    How runs the call.

Please excuse me for asking layman explanation:

    Thanks in advance

    Vikram

    Hi Vikram,

First thing to note is in most of the customer scenario prefer same sip domain on highways and control so that they can avoid transform and simplify the numbering plan.

    Happens to your scenario.

    Scenario a.

EP A VCS-contrl<--traversal-->VCS - Ex <--SIP--><--sip-->Ep B (points of termination assumptions made using the SIP protocol)

EP began with the sending of a guest for VCS-cntrol SIP message, which gets transmitted to VCS - by VCS-cntrl exp, hope you're installation rules research properly on vcs control.

VCS - exp send this appeal to Ep B and call connect. You can google for SIP call flow, so nothing different happens in this case.

    Scenario B

    EP A VCS-cntrl<--traversal-->VCS - Exp<-->public cloud<--SIP--><-->Ep B (dell.com)

A DNS zone, which uses the dns configured on exp do query srv records to the external field like "dell.com" is now required to apply for external part VCS - exp

in this scenario again Ep began with the sending of a message to the VCS-cntrl invitation gets sent to the SCV - exp rules-based research. VCS - exp begins looking for new address based on the rule of the research and since it does not find the URI ending with exp and "dell.com" starts to send query record srv for the domain "dell.com". DNS configured on exp in the SRV company A sends question and get an answer for this domain with the company B VCS - exp - ip address, and then vcs - exp in company A starting configuration of the call to the remote ip address.

now in the present, you can have several scenarios and I recommend you consult the guide deployment for VCS-control and traversal solution VCS - exp.

  • Limit the number of calls between areas of VCS/subareas?

    Hello

I wonder if there is a way that we can limit the number of calls between two subareas, areas or VCS.

    The script as below:

    VCS-E (owncompany) < -----neighbor/traversal/dns="" zone="" over="" internet------=""> > VCS-E (partner)

My intention is to limit to 5 video calls from VCS-E (partner) so that the 6th call (dial in endpoint) will be blocked.

I know that we can control the total bandwidth between areas using links & pipes but that does not stop the remote end to lower their rate of recall and deal with several endpoints.

    Thank you.

    Hi Hafiz,

have you tried to disable the 'downspeed by mode of appeal"in a configuration of Bandwidth?

try disabling the "downspeed" by call OFF mode under VCS config-. > bandwidth--> configuration.

This will not allow the calls get the downspeed but it must block because of insufficient bandwidth.

    Thank you

  • Problems with calls after upgrade of VCS 8.22

I've recently updated one of my devices VCS to 8.2.2, but I am having some problems.

    The Setup is as follows:

    VCS-C-1: X8.2.2
    VCS-E: 7.2
    VCS-C-2: 7.2

    EX90s: 7.2

    EX90 > VCS-C-1 (8.2.2) > neighbor area > VCS-E (7.2) > Traversal area > VCS-C-2 (7.2)

Call is SIP all the way.

Calls fail in both directions (connects but no audio or video).  Was working fine before the upgrade of VCS-C-1 of 7.2 to 8.2.2.

If I change the adjacent area of VCS-C-1 to the VCS-E uses a profile of "Custom" with "Duo Video Filter" in position "On", it works very well, although this way I can't use presentation properly.  Even if I have introduced interoperability in any part of the path of the call (force a leg to H323), it works, but again, interoperability has its own set of questions.  Finally, if I register at each endpoint to the VCS-E, everything works, it works just not when you browse all three hop calls.

The VCS-E is controlled by me, so can be improved if necessary, however VCS-C-2 is in another organization, the upgrade is likely to be much more difficult.

I know that there are changes to the way video Duo works in X 8 - I noticed that it's moved from an overall command of SIP for by area, I guess it has something to do with it.

    Any ideas?

Please try to put "Sip media encryption" on page traversal area setting to 'best effort' and give it a try

  • Call the recovery of CDR and RMC Records Manager

    Hello

I have my tent monitor QOS in a CallManager configuration and so I need access to records CDR/CMR. I read a lot of references to this subject and currently quite confused about which way to go. I know that CDR/CMR obtained records be retrieved a little ways, but it seems to me hit a roadblock in each. So if anyone can advice me which would be the most appropriate, it would be great. I have them listed below.

    (1) access options-mib on the voice gateway CISCO-VOICE-SELECTOR - giving quality of Service for calls active and historical values. But the problem here is if a Cisco Catalyst switch is used as a gateway, this MIB is not supported on it. It relies on many of the other Cisco routers.

    (2) access to the Microsoft SQL db and query the tables of CDR and CMR. But I guess that this option has been deprecated in Call Manager version > 7 or more

    3) CDR/CMR files through SOAP request. Is the format of the request for the COR and the same RMC? I found one example in the XML Developer's guide. But the application doesn't have a parameter that can distinguish between a request for the COR or CMR.

                   http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/SOAP/envelope/"container ="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema"" xmlns: xsi = "http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" > ""

                   http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/SOAP/encoding/"xmlns:ns1 ="http://schemas.cisco.com/ast/soap/">."
                   200511161000
                   200511161059

                   "http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/SOAP/Encoding/" xsi: type = "xsd: Boolean" xmlns:soapenc = "http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/" > true.

How can I access the CMR records using this approach. This approach is valid ofr versions of the call manager and the GUY?

    (4) CDR and CMR can be sent as a syslog message using the CISCO-SYSLOG-MIB. Can you please tell me if there is a specific configuration to do for that? Is this valid for all versions of the call manager and the GUY?

If I missed a few approach let me know.

    Receive your answer.

    Roycey

    Roycey,

How are you.  There are many options to be sure.  Let's try to cut through this some:

    roycey_cheeran wrote:

I wouldn't go this route if you are talking about a Cisco UCM deployment.  Yes, you will find information on gateways, but that is not really necessary, and as you have discovered, depending on the platform.

    roycey_cheeran wrote:

    2) Access the Microsoft SQL db and query the CDR and CMR tables. But I guess this option has been deprecated in  Call Manager version > 7 or so

Fix.  In pre-5 x days CDRs were flat files collected by subscribers and send to the Publisher (for a part of MS).  A service at the Publisher (CDRInsert) take these flat files and push them into a database.  It's a MS SQL DB.  Here, the data could be maintained by other applications and processes.  In the version of the device, the CDRs are always grouped at the Publisher, but are kept in the form of flat files.  If you have activated the CDR Analysis and Reporting (ERA) on the CUCM system, flat files will be available in a database format and you can really ask of the CLI on the server.  More information on the CAR in a little.

    roycey_cheeran wrote:

    3) Access the CDR/CMR files through SOAP request. Is the request format for the CDR  and CMR the same? I found an eg in the XML developer guide. But the request has not parameter that can distinguish between a request for the CDR or CMR.

How do I access the CMR records using this approach. Is this approach valid ofr versions of the Call Manager and the CME?

It does not work quite the way you think. The CDR interface on SOAP request that you speak is simply a command you can send to the CUCM system to find out what the CDRs are sitting in the repository.  You can then use the interface to retrieve the CDRs.  The intended use for the COR on demand API is to allow a server to "pick up" billing all CDRs he missed due to a disruption in the communication of the CUCM system.  Concerning the differentiation between the COR and CMR.  I have not watched this API recently, but I recall it's your application/script will need to determine what type of call recording is available through the name of the flat file (cmr vs cdr).  But I could be wrong.

    roycey_cheeran wrote:

    I didn't know that's true for CUCM.

For CUCM, I would look to set up a server billing detailed call (CUCM maintenance of web pages).  Billing is fundamentally a FTP/SFTP server which the CUCM cluster will flow the CDRs based on a specified interval.  You just need a FTP/SFTP server IP address (I recommend SFTP) and a user name.  The default interval is 1 minute (defined in the parameters of the business).  You can change the interval.  This will give you the raw data that you can treat to your heart's content.  For CME, the data structure is different and you will need to send details of calls via syslog, I think.  You need normalize recordings if you want to compare/contrast.  I haven't looked this aspect of the CME myself.

I have already mentioned CAR.  It is a Cisco delivered with CUCM application for free. You just allow it.  As a free application, it is not really the most useful.  But it can sometimes meet the exact demand that you are looking to fill. Browse ORC "CDR analysis and Reporting tool.

    HTH.

    Kind regards

  • The access admin VCS session timeouts

    Hello

I have asked me if there are VCS performance problems if the admin access session has the value zero, or, for example 30 minutes.

I know that this seems to be a stupid question because he absolutely should not affect the performance of VCS, however can someone please confirm this? In addition, the number of connected users admin will have a detrimental effect on the VCS? Once again, I guess not as the default is not limited, but confirmation would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you very much

    Howard

    Hi Howard,.

As far as I know, the number of sessions of admin and admin session logout, does not affect the performance of VCS much. However, please keep in mind that it certainly affects the performance of VCS if the number of sessions admin VCS is superior > 5 as VCS responded to all the commands and requests by admin VCS sessions.

So, it is advisable to set the session timeout no matter what between 15-30 minutes, so VCS kicks on the sessions inactive admin and keep resources free VCS.

Hope that answers your questions.  Feel free to rate this response accordingly.

You can use something like Skype to make outgoing calls. They will not appear on your Bill as they use data rather than on the cellular voice network. You will need to supply a Skype account, but it is quite cheap; as 2 ¢ a minute.

You can also get and use a Google Voice number, but the call to Google Voice will appear on the invoice.
