Calls vcse URI

Hello

We have a new installation of vcs/vcse and have problems with certain URI calls.  We have a domain *. AC.UK and srv records in dns highways names points: vcs *. The problem is that some end points of sea cannot connect to 1002@*.ac.uk but you can call AC.uk. [email protected] / * / highway. They do not receive any of the connection use our URI. They live their local ISP arrive and PSI are adamant that they do not block traffic.

We have all of the srv records that recommend Cisco. The units are mainly c20 but 1 sx20 cannot connect

This question is not answered!

You have all the required SRV records?

What endpoints are trying to call you, they are supported SRV records?

  • Crossing call - 403 forbidden problem

    Hello

We deployed the VCS control with VCS Expressway for the course of firewall and encountered a problem. It says on the status of the call VCSe, 403 forbidden

When an external end point registered as SIP on the VCSe will call to an internal endpoint as a SIP to the VCSC.

Here are some of the scenarios test, we have carried out and the results:

    1. check internal endpoints SIP VCSC - OK

2 external endpoint SIP registartion to VCSe - OK

3 internal endpoint endpoint internal SIP calls via VCSC - OK

    4. external point endpoint endpoint external SIP calls via VCSe - OK

5 internal endpoint endpoint external SIP calls through the VCSC and VCSe - OK

    6. point endpoint endpoint internal external call SIP via VCSC and VCSe - failed (403 forbidden)

On item 6, which is the only problem we are trying to solve.

    Which are necessary to check?

    Thank you.

    BR,

I recommend no doubt create a subzone for Movi, you can also control the bandwidth also. I have never save anything to the default subfield on Highway and off the record for security purposes. Movi clients enter their own subfield

NES as well as sub-areas for other specific things.

For security reasons, I don't like is not verification of the credentials on the highway, especially if you have an ISDN gateway or maybe control has a route on the PSTN. Fraud free of charge is not sweet.

I always sent SSO via local vs LDAP authentication. It becomes difficult when you are unable to join the fast track to the area but still want to authenticate and verify the credentials. The trick is that you must create a local user on the highway, and then create the same identical user name and the password in active directory. Then in MSD, get these credentials by using the model configuration for the version / MOVI device.

  • VCS Cluster DNS problems

    Hello

I have created a DNS SRV to configure in the FULL of the VCS Cluster domain name.

The problem is when devices try to enroll in the VCS Cluster; I put in the endpoints, in Gatekeeper registration DNS or IP address of the DNS SRV but the always end points will never reach the cluster of VCS.

I check the logs in DNS SRV and I don't see any request from devices.

I think I need to create a virtual IP address with DNS with load balancing, I mean: IP/DNS (FQDN) for the Cluster with load and balance when devices trying to connect to the cluster's IP/DNS it transmits the request to an IP or host name of a host in the cluster.

    DNS cLuster

    23.1.0.201 (vcs.xxx)

    The peer of the cluster:

    23.1.0.32 (vcscontroltc.xxx) Master

    23.1.0.33 (vcscontrolvag.xxx) slave

    XXX--> field

    Is this right?

    Thanks in advance.

    Best regards.

    Hello

then 23.1.0.201 is the IP address of your DNS server?

How you need to configure is:

FULL of the cluster domain name: vcscluster.domain.local

    VCS counterpart A: vcscontroltc.domain.local

    VCS counterpart B: vcscontrolvag.domain.local

With the above assumptions, that's what you create in DNS:

-For the FULL domain name cluster, create two A records for vcscluster.domain.local one pointing to 23.1.0.32 and the other pointing to 23.1.0.33. With that, I recommend that you enable alternate on your DNS server.

-For each peer, create a record, so vcscontroltc.domain.local points to the points 23.1.0.32 and vcscontrolvag.domain.local to 23.0.1.33.

-Create SRV H323 and SIP records for vcscluster.domain.local. With that, I recommend that you create two SRV records for each service, pointing A Exchange and showing a B counterpart, with a weight and priority. For example:

    _sips._tcp.vcscluster.domain.local-> vcscontroltc.domain.local, priority 1, weight 50

    _sips._tcp.vcscluster.domain.local-> vcscontrolvag.domain.local, priority 1, weight 50

If you follow the advice above, you should be able to configure all of your interior SIP and H323 endpoints with a h.323 gatekeeper address/SIP proxy address, of vcscluster.domain.local and endpoints must enroll in one of the peers, regardless of whether endpoints supports DNS SRV.

If the domain that you use is public, you also want to add the SRV records for that domain name. These SRV records must point to your VCS Expressway, to ensure that incoming calls from URI function as it should. For example:

    _sips._tcp.domain.local-> vcse.domain.local, priority 1, weight 100

If you have several VCS-E you can adjust the SRV records accordingly.

    Hope this helps,

    Andreas

  • Status of active 7 roles Web site with PowerShell.

I searched for a way to monitor the site to an active role with PowerShell. I was stuck when you pull into a page request via Invoke-WebRequest and System.Net.WebClient.

    Example 1:
    $ARSURL = ""https://ars.org " "
    $Creds = get-Credential
    Invoke-WebRequest - Uri $URL - Credential $Creds
And I get the following error: "Server error: Invoke-WebRequest.
401-Unauthorized: access is denied due to credentials not valid. »

    Example 2:
    $webclient = new-object System.Net.WebClient
    $webclient. Credentials = new System.Net.NetworkCredential ($username, $password, $domain) object
    $webpage = $webclient. DownloadString ($url)
And I get the following error: Exception calling 'DownloadString' with '1 ': arguments
"The remote server returned an error: (401) unauthorized."

Any idea on how I can connect on the site of ARS through PowerShell?

Well - I answered a question about ARS 7 without thinking about it - I'm still not there.  This answer applies to the ARS 6.9... Can also be applied to Version 7 - if the page can be called directly.  If not, your mileage may vary.

If you're still with me... I played with it a little too there is more to explore... but here is a style of performing the task.

For me - a quick way to check the availability of a web site of ARS would be to remove the page and display the user ID connected on ARS service and web version + the status of the page.

We maintain 4 distinct groups of servers ARS, and I spend the $ARSURL below three web servers ARS to check that the site is up, and he is currently pointed to the good host ARS service partner.

    $ARSURL = "myhost.myplace.com/.../About.ASPX ".

    $page = call-WebRequest - Uri $ARSURL -UseDefaultCredentials

    ($page.allelements | where {$_.tagname - eq "TBODY"}) .innertext

    Returns:

    Current user: DOMAIN\USERID

    Role: ActiveRoles administrator

    The Web Interface version: 6.9.0.5483

    Administrative service: myhostinGA.myplace.com

    Version of Service administration: 6.9.0.5483

    Ok

    Ok

You can also - if you look at something in the script of automation in a status report - I'd go with the simple $page. StatusCode - or $page. StatusDescription

the HTHML code for a good result is 200... I have only seen two codes is available or not.  If this is not the 'code' returned is 500.  If the page is building / busy - you will get a long wait and a "timeout."

    $ARSURL = "myhost.myplace.com/.../About.ASPX ".

    $page = call-WebRequest - Uri $ARSURL -UseDefaultCredentials

    $page. StatusDescription

    Returns

    Ok

I spent to Invoke-WebRequest so I can get the return of application Web.

  • Motorway E v8.5.1 / / URI Source of change for a call out

I'm changing the source URI for the calls from our internal network to the internet.  We have an internal area that is not routable on the internet and I would like to change for the routable domain.

    Example:

    External domain = societe.com

I tried to use a CPL script on highway E (Version 8.5.1) to achieve, but it does not work for some reason any.  Here's the last CPL I am using:

    Thanks in advance.

    Brandon

Take a look at the example in this thread for reference, ask-expert-cisco-telepresence-company, and CPL reference material in the Guide Admin Expressway.

You must change your origin depending on your internal domain, rather than match any incoming/outgoing call, see below.

    [email protected]/* */" destination=".*">
Everything else is fine, I tested it with a codec here using your example domains and the called endpoint has shown the correct source address. You have a cpl in place to change the external domain in-house for incoming calls from outside your organization to be able to find the domain that is used for your registered endpoints? Joint a CPL example is based on one that you posted where it will change the outgoing calls to use the external domain and use the internal domain, incoming calls. In addition, for use later, just say "it doesn't work" provides no information of what's going on. Sometimes you can get lucky and see the issue, but other times that we have more detailed information or see what is happening in order to help better understand where is the problem.

We run on VCS X8.2.  What I've read, VCS X8.1 has introduced a few new CPL capabilities, including the node location CPL supports rewriting the regex-based source alias.  I would like to take advantage of this new feature. I'm looking for a tutorial or a direction more advanced examples using this new capability.

    Here's my question:

I have an internal domain "CompanyA.local" and I have a public domain "Entreprisea.com". «My Cisco video endpoints register control VCS with a SIP URI of "[email protected] / * / .local'.»

Receive calls from outside help "[email protected] / * / com" and the rules of research, I route calls properly internally.

When I dial an external company, my endpoint is showing a video SIP URI of "[email protected] / * / .local"

Of course, this isn't a SIP URI dial-able and should be changed to "[email protected] / * / .com'." "

I know that this can be achieved using CPL, but I have not used this feature before.
    Any help would be appreciated.

Please suggest an example script CPL I can review.

I would use a Regex to cover all of my similar to the following endpoints:

    source-url-to-message-regex = "(.*) ' @CompanyA.local '"
    source-url-to-message-replace = "------[email protected] / * /"

Thanks in advance for any help.

oooooo, that answer above gave me the answer I was looking for. It does not work! It seems that the syntax for the xml file has changed from pre x 8 and x 8. Looks like I've been using the incorrect syntax. I was missing the AVA: in the clause to the proxy, which is my version of rule switch not working. Still don't know why the address switch did not work, but I prefer the rule-switch anyway, so no big loss for me.

I've tested, and it is fully functional on my vm VCS x8.2 running lab

  • SIP URI B2B calls via CUCM and Highway

    Hi all

Cannot find out how to configure the SIP URI from SX codecs, recorded calls on CUCM.

I CUCM and IM & P 10.5.1 a pair of X8.5.2 expressway with two areas of course - for B2B calls, and the external jabber.

I want to make calls of SX-codecs outside via SIP, by using the URI field, for example, [email protected] / * / or [email protected] / * /. How can I configure that?

I already have the routing model, which is the SIP Trunk for Exp - C, for H323 calls by ip address. Is it possible to make a routing model to call the SIP URI?

You can see my deployment in this image.

    Best wishes

    Igor

  • Change caller id / name of the SIP URI of VCS calls

    Hello

I have clusted CUCM 9.1 with a SIP to a VCS - C trunk.  When making calls, the calls show a caller id of [email protected] / * / address, for example [email protected] / * /.  I have a configuration URI directory on the phone that generates the call, but now it shows the URI.  Incoming calls from SIP URI properly.

    Thank you

    Hello

On the trunk SIP for VCS, under outgoing calls, there should be an adjustment: vocation and connected part format, change it to URI deliver only partially connected. Also, under the profile SIP assigned to the SIP trunk to VCS, there should be a setting use entirely field in queries, check this box. The SIP profile should also be attributed to the device SIP calls.

    HTH, if yes, please rate.
