Camcorder CX330 HDR

First of all, because I had an incredibly difficult to reach time and manuvering around this site... I ask this simple question before going further: are there really people on this thread who can answer a few questions on how to optimize the use of my Camcorder HDR CX330?

Thanks for any insight and assistance that you can give me.

ElBuey salvation,

Welcome to the community of Sony!

The difference between these four Modes of Rec is the quality of the video is taken. The highest quality might give you more defined details, say using the time long. It also determines the size of the recorded video file. The better more the size of the file.

You can use a lot of time when you save videos for a longer period of time in order to save space on your memory card. In the best video quality with a 64 GB card, you can only save up to 5 hours, in contrast to the long period that could go up to 25 hours.

What about the discs, the highest quality can be saved in the discs Blu - ray, while the other three can be copied on standard DVD disks. This would also apply to playback on a TV, the higher the quality the better it will look on your screen.

  • CX330 HDR - a thread about user experiences

    Hello

as I work with a friend who shoots with a VG10 and a NEX - 5R, once we had the need to add a third camera for the filming of clips. A possibility of 5R has been rejected, because its sensor stops often after 20 minutes of continuous shooting, and we wanted to 1.5 + uninterrupted hours of shooting.

Initially, I was attracted by the CX230, but I discovered, it was too small (adequate for about 1 hour of shooting) battery, so it was rejected in favour of the CX330, who shares the same type of battery as the NEX - 5R, giving certain commodities of the devices.

So, I decided to open this thread to discuss the positive and negative points of the CX330, I explore its capabilities.

  • Video quality: sony Camcorder HDR-CX240E or sony camera RX100?

I bought HDR-CX240E, to my eyes inexperienced video seems good quality but autofocus makes constant strong trigger clearly audible in the video playback there. Am disappointed because otherwise it's great.

Also need digital camera. Would the RX100 (the original version which is reduced in price) as good as the HDR-CX240E video production? And the autofocus is less noisy?

Is there a real difference between a dedicated camcorder and a camera that takes video?

    Thank you

Hi langdale! A camcorder, the HDR-CX240E has not one sound sound autofocus when recording. You can check in a service center.

The DSC-RX100 and HDR-CX240E uses the same format AVCHD and MP4 video. They have great video capabilities and can be used interchangeably. The biggest difference between a camcorder and a camera (with video) is probably the setting dedicated to movies. You can see the absence of controls or settings for video on a camera. It's because she has made especially for shooting photos again. It is always best to use a camcorder for recording video intensive.

  • Archiving...

I need advice on the "best" format choose to archive my videos. I'm not particularly

concerned about the ability to size and file storage, but do not wish to avoid degradation and

    obsolescence as much as possible.

When I used previous versions of EP 13 version I'm using now, I saved all the

Edition released of my camcorder Sony HDR-HC9E DV/band in the form of .avi files. I now have a Sony HDR-PJ810E

a machine that records in. MTS and. MP4.

I recently read several conflicting opinions on this subject, which many say that

uncompressed .avi is always a good container to save in, and others who recommend to save the

output in the same format as the recorded material. PE13 has no option to export in .avi format (although

also, modern video publishers, who will remain nameless on this forum, do).

Question 1 is so, should I be export projects in. M2T format for archiving? If not, what

    should preset I use?

Question 2 is the resolution and speed should I use to save and export. I have

have been recording in HQ 'Standard' mode, that is to say (1440 x 1080), cadence 9Mbps and 50i.

(Alternative available frame rates are 25 p and 50 p). I can't distinguish visually, much

difference between 50i HQ and the mode of 'High quality' FH, IE. 1920 x 1080, 50i and 17Mpbs framework

rate. (Strangely, when you change the hardware HQ, a few shots, grass, for example, watch less

blurred in the central administration in FH on the PC mode).

    However, PE13 export options are 1440 x 1080 to 25i or 30i (no 50i). Should I choose

25I in this case? Or should I be 50 p instead of 50i or 25 p recording and exporting in a

across the M2T export options available in PE13, for example HD720p50? Or should I had not exported to the MT2

to all and archive in MP4 to 1440x1080p25 or 1920x1080p25 or HD720p50? that is the only p25 and p50

    options available in MP4.

Please forgive any ignorance that these questions might indicate, but help would be appreciated.

    Major Sparky

    Short version

I'd go with archiving as well as the wait for new developments in technology

others who recommend to save the

output in the same format as the recorded material.

Waiting for your definition of the .avi format, I refute

PE13 has no option to export to .avi format

    Long version

    1. refer to the publication + share/computer/AVI with Presets = DV NTSC Standard or widescreen and then under the advance button and video of this preset.

You have the choice of different codec provided Adobe .video and a pre-defined customization possibility. In addition, if you download and install the Lagarith Lossless Codec, it will be available for use in the advanced settings for the presetting of the AVI. True, there is no counterpart in 13 for 10 units/Tape (for a DV tape).

    2. If you import HD 1440 x 1080 anamorphic 16:9, then you use a 1440 x 1080... predefined project. But, when you're going to export it, use export affecting for 1920 x 1080 to avoid the dependence of the player associated with having that 16:9 flag stretch the 1440 x 1080 for a view after encoding.

To avoid problems of interleaving in areas of displacement in the video, I'd say progressive recording rather than interlaced images.

Regarding progressive, interlaced look with the export settings vs those with deinterlace by default and not. Deinterlace before or after export and let the reader do deinterlacing of interlaced video? To describe if indicated thereafter.

Please consider. More comments to follow as indicated.

    Thank you.

  • What output format is required for the Cambodian broadcasting TV?

I'm in the USA.  I was invited to shoot a video for use on Cambodian television, that looks like 4:3.  I have only the newer equipment that pulls in the H.264 format.  My camera main is a camcorder Sony HDR AX-2000 which is able to shoot 480/30 p or 480/24 as its lowest quality.  How give a video that is or is not Letterbox that will play a show?  What can media use?

    Thank you.

    Gary Silverstein

    http://weshoot.com

Cambodia uses PAL and NTSC, so you will need more information. The format offers media may also be different from the broadcast signal. Once you know what you produce, Premiere Pro fortunately will convert your film - either at the point of export, or according to a preset of the sequence. It doesn't matter what is the codec of your camera recording. Ideally, you'll want to shoot at the same rate, and if it is guaranteed to be only a 4:3 output you would get 4:3 or use safety locks on your monitor 16:9 4:3, then you have some option to pan your shots in the frame. Even with SD vs HD - HD view taken is logical, even if the program is known to be SD, you get a lot of flexibility for pan and evolve into position.

  • What is the best way to transfer HD video camera content SonyHD of PE?

I'm a bit confused... is possible to import video files via the USB connection on my camcorder Sony HDR - CX100 HD in PE9 direct?   I installed the Sony transfer software called PMB and PE9 launch now... a conflict between programs?    Maybe I do not even need the Sony software and need to uninstall?  (Of course should try first... in hindsight).   I remember that I couldn't manage the content Sony HD in PE4, but now I've upgraded to PE9 - then maybe I can use the files directly?    I'm sure someone must have written a thread on the subject of how to get HD in PE9, and need a pre-conversioin, etc. of course would appreciate a pointer to this discussion if it already exists.

    Thanks in advance!

    David

Bill is right. Except for two things:

    (1) you can capture any digital video tape - which includes miniDV and HDV. But, as Bill says, your camcorder is neither.

    (2) I recommend that to get the video from your camcorder, connect your camcorder to your computer and use Premiere Elements' Get Media / Flip, AVCHD or a camcorder to open the importing video, a tool to transfer video from your camcorder to your computer.

And don't forget to make sure your Premiere Elements project is set up to work with the format of your video or you will have all kinds of problems later!

  • Simple solutions for a cinematic look with 60i video?

I'm sure this question pop upward again and again but I'm a huge headache trying to solve everything through my research, especially as a beginner to the film world.  I'll get right to my questions, but first, here's the equipment I work with:

    Camcorder Sony HDR-XR500, shot in format AVCHD 1920 x 1080 60i =

    Software = Creative Suite CS4

Recently, I threw together a 10 min film from a trip that I just got the use of Premiere Pro and while it was a lot of fun to put together I really have no idea if I went to this issue the right way.  I want to practice taking a clip of mine and convert it to this cinematic look and hope someone can help to guide me through some steps.

Here's what I want to achieve:

    -ratio of 2.35: 1 pixel

-24 p or a similar effect (trying to figure this out makes my head spin)

I know that the color correction has much to do with the film appearance, but I realize that there are several ways to go about this, so I'll refrain from asking questions regarding this for now.  (I found using the fast color corrector and Saturation adjustment to 75%, and levels of inputs to 20, 1, 220 glanced of beautiful film)

Step 1: Should what settings I use to create my project?

    Capture format = HDV?

For the sequence presets can I use AVCHD 1080i30 (60i) non-anamorophic?

Step 2: If I want to create a ratio of 2.35: 1, should I simply culture my clip?  I think I read somewhere for 1920 x 1080 video, crop 14 percent of top and bottom?  Or should I get when I export the movie?

Step 3: What would be the fastest single/more to get that look of 24 fps using Premiere Pro or After Effects?  I know shooting in 24 p is obviously the easiest way, but should I just deinterlace my 60i video right click for video > Options for fields > deinterlace always to achieve a similar effect?

Step 4: Export video... still so many options, I don't know what to do here.  Basically, could someone provide me with the best export options for the format, so that I am trying to achieve:

    -Display on the Internet

    -Display on computer

-And look at a blu - ray

I really appreciate any help on these questions.  A big thank you!

Step 1: Capture settings are not relevant for AVCHD on this camera.  Simply copy the structure of the entire folder intact on your hard drive.  PR will find images copied to the media browser panel.  You may even be able to modify it directly from the camera HARD drive.  You should try it and see.

2: 1920 x 816 stage produces a ratio of 2.35: 1.  Assuming that your whole action occurs in exactly in the center of the vertical shooting, then you should trim 132 pixels from top and down.  Place your 1080 footage in a progressive sequence of these dimensions, you should get what you want, as long as you do not have by default to scale to the size of the image selected in the preferences.

Step 3: This is the difficult.  For 24 fps to 30 fps, an image of each 5 should be deleted.  This will produce perceptually playback choppy, especially if no movement at all is present.  If the remaining frames must be mixed together somehow to smooth out the bump where the missing image is.  Using AE to achieve this, is my humble opinion, the best solution for an all-CS4 workflow.  In AE, you have 2 choices: merging images and movement of the pixels.  PM produces better results, but FM makes it faster.  If you did not yet no editing clips of Pr, then the best idea would be to convert all images in AE before importing it into PR.  If you already have changes in place in public relations, then you can select all the clips in the sequence and choose file | Adobe Dynamic Link. Replace with After Effects Composition.  Whatever it is, each element in EI must be interpreted individually at the edges of fields and preserve the separated.  The parameters of the model should be set to 24 p.  Then the interpolation must be enabled for the model, and finally, each level framework mix switch must have the value of fusion of images or displacement of the pixels.  If you don't use dynamic link, be sure to * off * interpolation in public relations, because EI has already taken care of that.

Step 4: Because the rendering will be so intense and take so long, I recommend export an intermediate file of Pr, then re-import this file to use as the source for the various export formats.  Otherwise, you will need to make all over again for each individual export format.  For the web, I recommend Flash.  For the computer display, it depends on your mode of delivery (CD, DVD, download, external hard drive, Flash drive, etc.).  For Blu - Ray, H.264 Blu - ray or Blu - ray MPEG2.
