Camera lens profiles

I have several questions about boxes and objectives in LR 2015.6 profiles first 9.6:

1. on my laptop (Mac OS 10.10.5) I see no profile under "Embedded" in the LR camera calibration Panel. How can I get that back?

2. under the terms of correction to activate the profile in the LR develop Module, it does not show Sony RX100iii even if it is seems to be listed as being supported by Adobe. Why is this?

3. a profile is available for Rokinon 12 mm fisheye f/2.8?

Thank you

Hi Eric,.

"Embedded" means generally that you change a JPEG image. Camera matching profiles are only for raw files.

The RX100 MKIII has built-in lens corrections. There should be an information icon in the pane of lens Corrections you can click on that will tell you what corrections are applied automatically. But even once, it only works for raw files. This camera JPEG images should already have the corrections applied by the camera, although it may depend on the specific camera settings (I don't remember offhand).

Profile 12mm f/2.8 ED AS NCS Fisheye Rokinon support has been added in ACR 9.4/LR 6.4.

Kind regards

-Chris

Is it possible to adjust your camera profile lens to show only what you have rather than having to pick up the lens you have every time?

    Hi AWDeagleTSi,

You can set your default lens profile by following the steps below:

    • Choose your profile for images
    • Click the drop-down next to configuration menu and choose 'save new lens profile Defaults.
    • Go to any other image and choose 'default' in the menu configuration menu and it should apply the profile of the desired objective.

These lens profiles already exist, but lens profiles correspond to raw files (.) CR2 for your camera brand), only in general, including for the two lenses you ask about.  Here are some of the profiles that you see when you select a CR2 file:

  • Lightroom 6.6.1 can't find the right lens profile more

    Hello

I have updated to Lightroom to the latest version, of camera raw 9.6 6.6.1 and now I have the problem that lightroom does not find the correct lens profile more.

I use the same equipment and workflow as before. Even if I select the profile of lens manually, it doesn't have the right profile, but when I check an older import some weeks ago, selected and used Lightroom the right profile, which is located on the old selectable photos!

    Material used:

    Nikon D750

    Nikon 24-120/4

    Tamron 70-200/2.8

    Windows 8.1

    Any ideas?

    Some current problems?

Two of these lens profiles are integrated with LR. This means that you manually select them and you do not put a checkmark in the optical Correction area.

Then uncheck the option for corrections to activate the profile. you will then see a box of low red described "applied objective integrated profile.

Of course, you can make the correction manually if you wish.

  • Correction of the lens profile in Lightroom/Photoshop

I am fairly new to Lightroom and Photoshop, so forgive what may be very novice questions about the correction of the lens.  I've walked these tips to help, but you have not yet found information that solved the problem exactly.

I use Lightroom CC and CC of Photoshop (running on a Mac).  I use a Nikon D750 and the objective in question is a Nikkor 24-120 f/4 VRII.  For JPEG images in question, I had tile control off in camera in order to avoid double fixing the LR/PS issue (and really have been dissatisfied correction in camera).

Like many other people have asked about, I have some JPEG files that I want to apply the correction lens profile in LR, but none exist for that lens in JPEG.  I tried the steps that a lot of people have suggested in many forums (i.e., copy of the RAW profile which is located in the folder/Library/Application Support / Adobe / Camera Raw /..., to change all the "stCamera:CameraRawProfile ="True"' to 'False', then copy the file in the same folder and restart).  I tried to locate the new profile of lens using LR and Camera Raw in Photoshop.  I closed the program, restarted, but nothing seems to work.

Because it did not work, I got rid of the new lens profile I copied and went in Photoshop, using the "Correction of the lens" option in the "Filters" menu (but not in Camera Raw because it does not work).  In the filter, it recognizes the lens and allowed me to make the correction of "thumbnail".

    So my questions are:

    (1) is the method of copy/text change to adapt RAW lens profile does not work for LR CC or is there another text in the file LCP to be changed to make it work? Don't know what I'm doing wrong.
    (2) apart from the inefficiency of having re - import the Photoshop file to LR are all the problems to fix the way I did it using the lens correction filter in PS?  I couldn't find any discussion who suggested doing it this way, so it was not clear to me if there was a reason to not do it instead.

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

Could not load profile lenses looks like it would be a problem.  I wonder if your text editor removed line breaks or add or change the encoding to something different.  You could re-edit of true-false and see if things work better.  If I change a LCP on Windows I use instead of Wordpad Notepad because Notepad keeps the characters at end of line and encoding.

The text you see list of LR may not ProfileName it can be the name of the goal or nice name for a lens or something else.  You can change the description read by the man to have a different version: v2a. 2 b v, v 2 c, etc, then you can say that is actually used.

Or, if this description is replicated for each entry profile, then you might need to change not only one.

  • Fujifilm x 10 lens profile

    Hello

I start with LR 6 and I blocked for the correction of the objective for the Fujifilm X 10, but I can't found. Could someone give me help?

For X 10 lens corrections are written to the file the camera raw and Adobe uses only those, so no external profile must be specified.  If you have LR 6/2015, and uncheck the enable lens profile correction, you will see an info bubble that says a built-in profile is used, and if you click on that it specifically tells you what corrections have been applied.  If you have an earlier version of LR, corrections are always be applied, just no information about them is displayed.  Here's what 9.4 ACR, which is the same as LR 6.4 and LR CC 2015.4 raw conversion engine, shows for the X 10 corrections of the goal:

I was able to insert 2 profiles of lenses in Lr 5.7.1 before and they worked perfectly as they were filled in the lens corrections Panel automatically

However, I recently had to reinstall windows and even if I have the profile of a lens works well (Canon EF 50 mm f/1.8 VTS) - my other lens is not - I need to select each time instead of it being automatic fill.

Can I have it please the location of the folder to save 10 home 64 bit where we want to insert the lens profiles so that they are auto populated in the lens correction Panel?

Select the correct lens profile and then click the down arrow next to "Setup" and select 'Save new lens profile by default is'. The new lens profile should now be used automatically.

Profile of lenses Sigma the BTW - is already included in LR 5.7. You should not need to add a lens user profile for that lens. EDIT: Sorry for both these lens profiles are included in LR 6.1.1

Used LR5 on a PC since release, this version has my Nikon/camera lens listed. Just installed a new hard copy on a new Mac, this version does not have my loaded profile. Searched the Adobe web site and although in help, my lens is displayed in the list I can't find the download for a Mac. someone help.

You shoot JPEG or Raw? Several profiles of lenses exist only in the first.  I wonder if it shows only missing because you are looking for with the bad image file type selected.

  • Apply the lens profile in Premiere Pro?

    Hello

I'm new to first Pro and video shooting, when I use DLSR for videos, you will notice some lights fall and lens on the lens distortion wide angle that I use.

is there anyway to apply the lens profile in Premiere Pro, like what we do usually in photoshop, lightroom and camera raw?

    Thank you very much.

No profile of lenses for video. You must make your own and save it as a preset.

  • How is the best way to capture image in lens profile Creator?

Hello, I read in the trouble-shooting Guide associated with Adobe Lens profile creator:

When the frame of the chart in different areas of the image of the image, use a combination of physically moving and tilting the camera to obtain an optimal balance for the generation of LCP.

    i. only to move the camera to frame, so that the plan of the image is perfectly parallel to the table, can have a detrimental effect on the calibration of PCL data.

II. only tilting the chart can lead to problems of depth of field, where the part of the graph can go too far blurred due to the wide angle of the chart regarding the level of the image. This can also have a detrimental effect on the LCP calibration data

OK, but I am not able to understand at all, please help me:

    (1) is it better if I will rotate the camera on the tripod to the left and to the right, or is - this better physically move the tripod on the left and right?

    2) is better if I'm going to tilt upward or toward the bottom of the camera on the tripod or it's better picking upwards or downwards the tripod bar?

    (3) if it is better to do a combination of tild and rotate and move the camera how do I know the optimal combination?

I hope that someone who has experienced this could explain better

    Thank you everyone

    Damiano

I don't know which is technically great, but there is a practical convenience aspect here, as well.

In my experiences with it, I moved physically the tripod in the direction of left and right and then refocused the camera vertically as required in order to put the target in the desired part of the image. I was happy with the results, although I did no comparative study deep.

IMO what technique allows you to perform a sufficient variety of acquisitions reasonably attentive, without being too difficult, and who does not renounce the analysis tool, will probably be good enough.

  • How do you get custom default settings to enable lens profile corrections automatically when importing?

I created default settings of serial number for my Canon Mark III 1ds include corrections of lens profile enabled.  Then, I created a user pre-configured with these corrections to default value.  Then I imported a folder of RAW images taken with the same camera Canon with the user checked under import profile.  When I switch to the module development and check the lens Corrections Panel, I see that even if it is verified for each file, the real model and profile are not met.

Is this a bug or I forget something when you import?  I understand that in LR 4, you can apply specific profiles of lens and camera serial numbers camera calibration (too much noise reduction etc.).

MacPro 2.8 Ghz Quad - Core Intel Xeon with 16 GB of ram running OS x 10.7.2.

Thank you.  I chose to leave the ISO unchecked so that images you lens corrections automatically based on serial No.  I would be a nice feature, as well, to apply noise reduction to a specified user ISO target number, that is to say 1000 or more.

  • 3.6 Lightroom / ACR 6.6 camera missing profiles

    Greetings.

I have read through so many discussions about this and still can not make camera profiles appear in 3.6 LR or ACR 6.6.

I'm shooting RAW with a Nikon D7000.  The only camera profiles available are Adobe Standard, camera Standard, neutral, etc.  LR/AC recognizes the file RAW has been produced by the D7000 or at least that is what shows like make & model in the metadata.

    I checked the path

    C:\ProgramData\Adobe\CameraRaw\CameraProfiles\Camera\NikonD7000

and 5 STC files are present.

I confirmed THAT LR/ACR is reading this way out the software and editing temporarily

    ... \CameraProfiles\...

    TO

    .. \FUBARCameraProfiles\...

and when I run then LR/ACR, I get a message that the camera profiles are missing.

I use Win 7 Ultimate 64-bit, logged on as administrator in order to eliminate any security problem, and I installed LR/ACR as the admin as well.

Lens profiles to work very well.  On all my files RAW, the lens is correctly identified, and I can choose it in the drop-down list for the correction of the goal.

If anyone has any ideas on what else to try, I would be grateful.

    Happy New Year, all!

That's all you should see if you haven't installed custom profile.
