  I clicked on finish, as it were has no more records requested when burning a batch of 5 (as requested by the HP Recovery Media software).

• Recovery continues to request Recovery CD-ROM # 2 - satellite 1640CDT

  I'm trying to reinstall my original 1640CDT by Satellite since the Toshiba product recovery CD. After reading the first CD, it asks for the second and then continues to ask. The CD seems to be OK, as I can read it on another PC. If I insert a different CD, it tells me it's the wrong CD but if I insert the right CD, it just asking again and again and again... "Please insert the recovery CD # 2.

  Any thoughts?

  On this way, I can say that there are two possibilities of jousting. The faulty recovery CD is or it comes with a bug on this issue.

  One of my colleagues DBCA to remove a gr 10, 2 MS Windows database and then later decided that she should not do. We have a copy of the data files and a copy of the control file. We do not have a copy of the initialization file. There are no backups RMAN.

  We have created spaces for storage in the new instance with the data files that have the same name as the data files in the instance that was removed.
  
  Can I replace the data files that are in the new storage spaces (which have none of our data) with the old data files that contain our data? If so, what would be next after that?

  As I mentioned above, you can replace not just individual 'new' data with the 'old' data files files You must completely remove the 'new' database and all associated datafiles, controlfiles, recovery logs and any archivelogs. Then move the data files 'old' back to where they were originally and assuming that the pfile/spfile file is correct, you should be able to do the following:

  SQL> startup mount;
  SQL> recover database until cancel;
  SQL> alter database open resetlogs;

  I ordered a TV last week and he received Monday.  The box was damaged.  I sent an email to Dell and I have yet to receive a response.  I was on a chat session where I had to wait 1 hour, automated message came this Department was closed.  I called Dell was put on hold for an hour, automated message came out counseling dept has been closed.  I opened an another chat session, expected and told me that I couldn't be helped I would need to call.

  Yesterday I called again expected waiting for 55 minutes to transfer the sick people who would be able to help me.  I specifically asked if there would be another downtime and I was told that because it was an internal transfer, it would be wait times do not at all.  I was also told the Rep, which I did not understand, he would wait on the line with me.  I agreed to be transferred and it put my call in queue to wait only 2 hours and no one answered.

  I ask a return phone call as soon as possible because I have will report to DELL for the better business bureau.  I understand that we are in the holiday season and I don't mind waiting, but I'm in the race and nobody seems to care. I have not ordered from Dell for quite awhile and now I remember why, terrible customer service. Very disappointed.

• HP pavilion dv7-6b55dx recovery disk

  Hi all

  I have a hp Pavilion dv7-6b55dx hard drive failed.  Fairly easy to install a new hard drive, but its been a bit more difficult to find any kind of information recovery disk.  The laptop has a hand, and we only had a very short time. Ever created of my own restore disks (I know, I know).  It used Windows 7 Home premium 64-bit.

  I can't find anything on the HP site regarding recovery assistance, its seems that my camera is no longer supported.  I spoke with Microsoft, although the Windows product key is always on the computuer itself, they said I have to buy a new operating system on their part.  And then even after that, I guess I would have to update the other pilot material as well and may require some sort of recovery disk?  I've been on the HP site, it doesn't seem to be another option to pay to speak with someone, and at this point, I'm afraid that I would pay to hear that there nothing more they can do.

  If you can't tell from my post, I'm not the most computer-savvy person.  I searched online for ideas and found no too.  Most other suggestions are a few years now and do not seem to apply more.  Any thoughts or ideas would be greatly appreciated!

• HP Pavilion 15 n208 tx: accidentally deleted the recovery Partition

  I have the recovery accidentally deleted partition and was formatted with Linux, when restroing I had unilingual edition from 8.1 to win, I installed it and merged UEFI is enabled once I was online.

  now I want to redo the recovery partition.

  I need recovery Assistant F11 to work during the start, now it doesnot work, please help me in re create the recovery partition and reactivate boot F11 recovery option.

  My laptop works fine. I'm very curious to make as it was when I got my laptop.

• HP a6567c problems with OS and recovery!

  So my desktop came with vista x 64 and it was not compatible with a lot of software that I was working with (audio recording/production). I downgraded to XP and found all the drivers appropriate successfully, but there was a big problem which, if I turned the monitor then next turn the system would block and I see a background with no icons and the manually restart the computer. This happens every time

  My first question is if there is a way to successfully run the XP on my a6567c? I had all the right drivers, but I do not leave the monitor on all the time to avoid the hit... I was running XP instead if possible

  Secondly, at the moment that I am trying to plant recover my original settings. I left the partition image factory of tact, but I guess I have no HP Recovery Assistant little more and cannot find a download for it. How can I recover my system?   It is a procedure not supported (by HP) who has worked for many people. Use Disk Management in XP to view your hard disk partitions. Select the Recovery partition, right click and "Mark as active. To restart "without typing F11" the pc should start and start Vista recovery.

  I made a set of 4 HP recovery assistant recovery DVDs when my PC was brand new, and now I want to fix the system (after the failure of the CMF to repair files). However, I get an error of 0xc0000255 at startup (everything has been already verified as OK). Any ideas?

  Found!. As there is no option to select the device to boot to the POST and the option "Fix the system" after F8 does not by default on the CD/DVD drive, it must be done in the BIOS (F10 at startup). So I chose DVD under the 1st boot device.

  If you have to ask, then it means that it will be difficult to debug and maintain.
  Here's an easier way to find the lines where dttime is after 07:00 yesterday, but before 15:00 yesterday:

  WHERE     dtime     >  TRUNC (SYSDATE - 1) + ( 7 / 24)
  AND     dtime     <  TRUNC (SYSDATE - 1) + (15 / 24)
  

  This will pick up the lines where dtime is as little as 1 second after 07:00, but not 07:00 himself. If you want to include 07:00 exactly, change the > to > =.

  Sorry for my delayed response, I got some busy days.

  So because the problem persists we will try to install the driver manually:

  Open Device Manager > go to "Card Networks" > right click on your network adapter > and select unisntall, if a menu appears you to uninstall the driver and then suggest you remove the driver do Yes aswell questioning.

  Now install the downloaded HP (right click Run as administrator.)

  Have you tried this as well?

• Satelite L855-10Z: ERROR F3-F200-0002

  Recently, I had problem with connection to Win7 in my Satelite L855-10Z. It was not collateral with lost password, etc. There was no news on the false couple login/password. I decided to restore with recovery Toshiba (I've got 5 DVDs) discs. During the restoration everything went well until the Assistant asked me for the next (6th disc, while I have only five ).
  Recovery Assistant gave me two options only: 1 - confirm to insert the next disc. 2nd - cancel, so I chose to cancel, and the computer is turned off. I felt that something was wrong...
  I turned on the computer, Windows startup screen appeard but has not loaded and after a few seconds, I got Infolog gray color with notice: ERROR: F3-F200-0002.
  Does anyone have a similar situation? Could you help me in this problem? What are you proposing to me now to restore my satelite?
  I already cheked web links associated with ERROR F3-F200-0002, but had not found stuff to try.
