Can connect Windows 7 Pro to several areas

I have a situation where we bring a new Server Windows 2012 R2 Essentials on an existing Windows 2011 SBS where no ad has been set up.  There are only 5 computers that need to connect to this new server - these computers are currently connected to another area.  My question - on 5 computers, can I create a create a local account > copy all the data of the account domain to the new local account then join the new domain?

This issue is beyond the scope of this site (for consumers) and to be sure, you get the best (and fastest) reply, we have to ask either on Technet (for IT Pro) or MSDN (for developers)

  • How do I know that I can put windows 7 pro on

I just started a new job which requires windows 7 pro 32-bit. I am looking for a new laptop and have installed since everything seems to come with windows 10 now. However, my biggest problem looking for laptops is that whoever I talked to the store tries to talk to me about windows 7 pro or unclear if it can be charged in those that they show to me.

is it possible to be able to find this information on my own? is there some spec that I need to keep an eye on, or is - the more a * shoot?

Computer that you ever look at must have win 7 32-bit drivers for it or you won't be able to downgrade.  Most new computer manufacturers are not develop win 7 drivers because support for win 7 ends soon.

There may be another option, but it's kinda a Reiver work.  This option would be to run a virtual machine, winning 10 and run winner 7 inside.  I wouldn't recommend this way, unless there is no other choice

What type of machine are you tempted or need to install Windows on? You can download the installation of 90 day trial Windows Enterprise 8.1 it then use it to facilitate the download of Windows 8 Pro.

The 90 day trial of Windows Enterprise 8.1 is provided as one. ISO file you can burn it to a blank DVD and install on a blank hard disk or a partition:

  • Windows 7 Starter to Professional or Windows 8 Pro?

Hello. I have a series netbook Sony Vaio W (VPCW210AL) with a 1.67 GHz intel Atom CPU 450, 2 GB RAM, 320 GB hard drive on a Windows 7 Starter 32 bit OS. I want to upgrade to Windows 7 Professional or Windows 8. Is this possible? Will recommend you it? I use the netbook mainly for work while traveling. Starter does not satisfy me. Windows anytime upgrade does not work for me since I live in the Mexico. According to 8 Windows anytime upgrade, which I downloaded from Microsoft, I can install Windows 8 Pro, but there are three issues that concern me: 1) I won't be able to boot the machine in safe mode, if I had to (I've never had to). 2) there is a problem with Microsoft Security Essentials (I'm not terribly concerned about this). AND (3) there is a problem with my Bluetooth of WIDCOMM software, the wizard will not tell me what the problem is, he only directs me to the site. This last issue is one that concerns me. I like my netbook, I saw them running under Linux pretty well, but I want to stay with Windows for now. Should I get Windows 7 Professional or Windows 8 a disc from a local store and install it without fear of the unknown that happens? I'd appreciate your advice. Thank you! -Jorge.  P.S.: so poorly set up an account to post this a question!

I personally recommend that you improve this Netbook to Windows 7 Professional instead of Windows 8, mainly for technical reasons.

    Netbooks aren't friendly Windows 8.

A new element of Windows 8 is the requirement that type metro applications have a minimum screen resolution 1024 x 768 and 1366 x 768 for the component feature snap-in. If you try to launch a Metro style app with less of this resolution (800 x 600, 1024 x 600), you will receive an error message.

Most Netbooks do not go above 1024 x 768

Will recommend you it? I use the netbook mainly for work while traveling. Starter does not satisfy me. Windows anytime upgrade does not work for me since I live in the Mexico.

I would recommend that you purchase a license of Windows 7 Professional upgrade and use the product key with Anytime Upgrade in Windows 7 Starter to upgrade to Windows 7 Professional.

Where can I still get Windows 7?

    Version upgrade-

    Microsoft Windows 7 Professional upgrade

According to 8 Windows anytime upgrade, which I downloaded from Microsoft, I can install Windows 8 Pro, but there are three issues that concern me: 1) I won't be able to boot the machine in safe mode, if I had to (I've never had to).

Windows 8 can start safe mode by repeatedly pressing F8 before Windows 8 load when you start your Netbook. You can also start it by pressing the Windows key + I > change PC settings > General

    2) there is a problem with Microsoft Security Essentials (I'm not terribly concerned about this).

Windows 8 comes with Windows Defender built in which is the successor to Security Essentials, as well as other security features such as Smart Screen Filter.

AND (3) there is a problem with my Bluetooth of WIDCOMM software, the wizard will not tell me what the problem is, he only directs me to the site.

If the driver is compatible with Windows 7, what you can do is to just reinstall the driver after completing Setup of Windows 8. It's just that sometimes the devices interfere with the Windows installation.

This last issue is one that concerns me. I like my netbook, I saw them running under Linux pretty well, but I want to stay with Windows for now. Should I get Windows 7 Professional or Windows 8 a disc from a local store and install it without fear of the unknown that happens?

If I had the choice, I'd go with Windows 7 Professional, works better and will be supported until 2020.

I'd appreciate your advice. Thank you! -Jorge.  P.S.: so poorly set up an account to post this a question!

  • Windows 8 people's Republic of CHINA (unilingual OEM version in simplified Chinese) can be upgraded to Windows 8 Pro * full * English?

I bought a Dell XPS One 2710 in China that came pre-installed with Windows 8 RPC. It seems that it is a unique language locked in simplified Chinese version.

The standard procedure to add another language changes only partially certain interfaces of applications in English, but the operating system is always in Chinese.

    I think so

1 - is the upgrade to Windows 8 Pro with Windows 8 Pro Pack as described here http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-8/feature-packs

2 - or buy a Windows 8 Pro System Builder and just reinstall

Solution 1 is my favorite option, I want to keep the existing configuration and the Dell applications.

Does anyone have experience making 1 or 2?

    Thank you.

You should upgrade to Windows 8 Pro in Chinese, then you can download the English Language Pack for free:

To the top of Windows 8 for Windows 8 Pro:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-8/feature-packs

Language packs are available for Windows 8 and for Windows RT

Thank you Andre, everything is now in English!

For all the foreigners living in China who want to have Windows 8 English I highly recommend to do as described below. It will add the cost of a license of Windows 8 Pro Pack, but will save you hours of waiting, of discussions, resettlement and uncertainty.

Windows 8 CPP that comes pre-installed on all computers OEM in China is locked with simplified Chinese only to the language of the OS.

You can buy Windows 8 Pro Pack, which upgrades the CPP of 8 Windows preinstalled on your new computer to a full-blown Windows 8 Pro with Media Center

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-8/feature-packs

Pack Windows 8 Pro can be purchased online from China, and you can pay with Paypal

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-8/terms-conditions-feature-packs

Windows 8 Pro has all the features to download and add language packs.

Start the upgrade using the following screenshots

    http://winsupersite.com/Windows-8/Windows-8-release-preview-add-features-Windows-8

You will need an address in China and turn off your VPN before you start the upgrade.

There is only one choice of product to buy the Windows 8 Pro Pack.

The update took a few hours of downloading so start at night and sleep at home.

After the upgrade you have Windows 8 Pro with Media Center always configured with Chinese as their main language.

You need then download and install the English language according to these screenshots pack

    http://www.eightforums.com/tutorials/5850-language-pack-install-uninstall-Windows-8-a.html

The US English language pack is 154 MB and may take a few hours to download as well.

Restart, then return to the screen of language making English as your primary language, as described in these screenshots

    http://www.eightforums.com/tutorials/5853-display-language-change-Windows-8-a.html

    Reboot again, and voila!

PS: after upgrading your Windows 8 Pro is activated automatically with the new product ID, but you haven't lost all common applications of OEM and warranty (Dell in my case).

You always connect to the app store Windows of China and are able to install apps * except * those made specifically by the OEM. In my case, there are only a few and I can't install Renren for Dell for example, but there is also another version not OEM in the app store.

This limitation is explicitly mentioned in the notes here, and I confirm.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-8/feature-packs

OEM applications that I have installed upgrading are still there and working, then you might want to install everything before the upgrade.

  • Error: The installer cannot set Windows XP required configuration information during the upgrade to Windows XP Home SP3 of Windows XP Pro.

Original title: OEM Windows XP Home SP3 update XP Pro

Here is a compilation of the messages from another forum regarding
    My problem:
    ---------------------------------------------------------------

I'm trying to upgrade a Windows XP Home Sp3 OEM system to
Windows XP Pro. (There are a few Pro features
that are not available in the House I now need: (1) the files offline and
    (2) an add-on available for free to Onenote 2007, Top2onenote, requires a Pro).
I don't want a clean install, but an upgrade. I bought a Windows XP Pro
Upgrade CD on Ebay that was Windows XP Pro
Gold (v2002). I'm sure that's true for the following reasons:

It has been listed as an upgrade, but the CD is not labeled "Upgrade".
It seems very authentic with all Microsoft holography.
He came in the standard package of Windows XP (without box),
    and it was sealed.
The name of volume for the CD is WXPFPP_EN. The Internet,.
It is the retail of Windows XP Pro RTM (gold)!

Here are things I tried initially.

    (1) I tried to upgrade to Pro from the purchased CD. It is immediately
has refused to upgrade indicating the upgrade OS (Pro) is older than the
    installed OS (home)...

    (2) I read about "slipstreaming". "Slipstreaming" allows to integrate
a service pack with an earlier version of the operating system. I created a
upgrade XP Pro SP3 with Nlite slipstreamed CD image (and
Autostreamer later, but it made no difference) from the purchased CD
    and a file containing SP3.

After you burn the CD and start the upgrade
    (Windows installation), the upgrade process
    product through "information collection."
"Dynamic update" and "Preparation of Installation" with
no problems. My computer restarted and returned to
"Installation preparation". A progress bar called 'Progress '.
quickly filled to about 90% and the hanging system
at that time there for about 15 minutes.
Then, I got the following error message:

Setup cannot set the required Windows XP configuration
information. This indicates an internal Setup error.

This is where I am stuck. I had to leave the installation at this point.
My drive is starts raining and I had to restore a backup.

    (3) just for the heck of it, I formatted my hard drive and
reinstalled my original OEM XP Home SP3 OS (no clean up, no user file).
I immediately used my XP CD slipstreamed Pro to try one
upgrade to XP Pro and IT WORKED! I need to find out why the
properly clean XP Home OS upgraded to XP Pro but my pre-existing
(with the files users, drivers, etc..) XP Home OS does not level
    successfully to XP Pro.
    -------------------------------------------------------------

    Another post:

Yet once, today, I installed a new copy of OEM Windows XP Home Sp3.
I continue with installation of all the essential and the add-on
pilots (essentially all my original version). Then, I
set up a network connection and firewall. With this configuration,.
I ran the Pro XP slipstreamed SP3 CD. The upgrade to XP Pro
success (even if the upgrade not configured my graphics
card properly). I guess my current problem is either the registry,
the WINDOWS, some user file or parameter file.
    ---------------------------------------------------------------

    Another post:

I made a file and the backup of the folder C:\Windows folder
on my system that is pre-existing (OEM XP Home Sp3). I also did a
separate the backup the State of the 'system' on my pre-existing system.
These are added my full image backup of her pre-existing
    system a month ago.

I did a backup image of my system (minimum fees OEM XP Home
SP3 with all the original installed drivers over a network configured
connection and a firewall configured). This system will upgrade
XP Pro with XP Pro SP3 slipstreamed CD successfully.

    Experiment 1:

I've restored my minimum system. I then restored the C:/Windows folder
and the State of the pre-existing system backup system. A startup
has managed (with a minor irritant). I had to activate Windows.
Then, I tried upgrading the slipstreamed XP Pro processor. He stopped
at the same place during the upgrade and gave the same error as before:

Setup cannot set the required configuration information Windows XP.
This indicates an internal Setup error.

    Experiment 2:

I've restored my minimum system. I then restored the system state only
the backup of the pre-existing system. After startup I was asked to
activate Windows, but answer Yes to the question would be to disconnect me
the system. I couldn't get connected to try the XP Pro upgrade.

    Experience 3:

I've restored my minimum system. I then restored only the C:/Windows
the backup of the pre-existing system folder. Once again, as in experiment 1,
the upgrade failed at the same place with the same error message.

    ----------------------------------------------------------------

Before the experiment 3, I hoped that 3 experience would succeed so I
could conclude that I had a registry problem. I'm not sure now.
I don't know what to try next. Take the minimum system and reinstalling
my files of the user is not an option that my hard drive has over 200 GB of
programs! If I restore all files and folders of my pre-existing
I would still have backup to restore a system state the reliable (read the registry).
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------

Sorry for the length! If anyone has any ideas I would appreciate your responses.

    Thank you

It will be a silly question. If I update to Windows 8 Pro de Windows 8 will be the software preinstalled for my new i13z Inspirion work after the upgrade?  Like the Dell support center software and the associated software? Hello

To my knowledge, you can connect the satellite Pro P100 to HiFi only via a cable 2 RCA Audio Y adapter. To my knowledge the laptop doesn't support the S/PDIF audio output so you only to use an analog audio port.

You can also buy a stereo adapter with 2 x cinch sockets to connect the laptop to the stereo. This card can be plugged into the headset jack

    Check this box:
