  • You can automate assigning a different color in the paragraph styles to each character?

    Hello

    I am trying to find a way to create a paragraph style that will apply a different color to each letter automatically (to avoid having to change each character by hand.) like this:

    Maybe it's not possible with styles, but if anyone has any other tips would be great. See you soon!

    If you want to keep the order of the colors in your RED letters > PURPLE > GREEN you have to exclude white space and choose 'Letters' instead of 'characters '.

    In your case after the Green letter 'Y', the next letter 'V' should be red, but it's Purple

    This will do the job:

    var
        mD = app.activeDocument,
        mP = mD.pages,
        pC = {}, i = 0;

    for ( i ; i < mP.length ; i++ )
        ! pC [ mP [ i ].pageColor ] ? pC [ mP [ i ].pageColor ] = 1 : pC [ mP [ i ].pageColor ] += 1;

  • Assign several color labels for a single photo

    You can assign multiple color labels for a single photo?  I would use color labels to represent the pictures some people choose as their favorites.  For example, pics of Tom as red, blue, Betty-Marc chooses as yellow and so on.  If they all happen to take the same picture, I would like to be able to demonstrate that a single image is reported as red AND blue AND yellow.  Then, when I reported all first choices, I'll know to select as my last chooses those that everything the world or the most people have taken (or the pictures with the color identifiers most affected).  Can I do this kind of functionality with color flags?  If this isn't the case, with color flags, including at - it another way to achieve this?

    I'm sorry but your request is beyond the scope of the Toolbox currently available in Lightroom. Maybe someone has a Lightroom plug-in that provides the functionality you need, but I have not met.

    In the import window Panel apply when importing, you can define an import of metadata preset that sets the label you want for all the imported photos:

  • French color labels, in a version problem

    In English:

    Hello
    I was testing with the beta and lightroom beta 2 version 3. Satisfied, I bought the french version 3 today. Unfortunately, I have a small problem:
    color labels were not recognised during the transition to the commercial french version 3. The reason seems to be linked to a translation problem. Example: purple ("Purple" in french) is displayed not with the same color, but with the text, instead of the icon, "purpule. Same for the other colors.
    How to get my color labels?
    Thank you.

    Snoopy,

    I think that your hypothesis is correct, that your problem is caused by the different formulations in labels (I assume that you run LR3 Beta2 in English).

    LR did wirte the word "Violet" in the column labeled your catalog when you have selected an image as violet. Now, with the french wording, LR interprets the word "Purple" in the purple label column, and nothing else. You can see these metadata associations in the library Module, menu / color label set up / change.

    To solve your problem, I'd do the following for each color labels:

    • Activate the metadata, with the 'label' showing column filter
    • filter on a specific label term (for example, "Purple")
    • Select all filtered photos
    • Mark it as "Purple".

    This will redefine the terms (French) to your photos.

    When I replaced a hard drive, I wanted the same drive letter, but he wants me to take another. How can I assign the drive letter, that I replaced. The letter is now used by another device?

    Open disk management, find the drive using the drive letter you want to use, change the drive letter of this to 'Z', find the new drive, change the drive letter that you want, and then change the drive letter of the drive you have labeled it 'Z' to a drive letter of your taste.

  • Problem with colored labels

    Hello

    I'm having some problems with color tags when you use lightroom;

    I recently upgraded to Lightroom from 5.6 to 6.5, and all the photos of my catalog with tags color turns white label only.

    I also have the same problem when I import pictures from my laptop catalog, whith photo colors such as red, blue, green, turns in a white label...

    Is there a problem with LR 6.5?

    Could you help me please?

    Cosette

    I finally found the solution.

    During the upgrade, LR languages have changed, and the words associated with the colors too, labels

    so I translate just the name of the color in the metadata / color label set / change, and everything is fine!

  • Is it possible to add additional color labels?

    Currently in Lightroom it seems only 5 color choices for the tagging of photos. I have group photos using color labels, but I often have more than 5 groups (eg. panoramas), and I find the star systems not suitable for this purpose. Is there a way to add additional color labels to the existing group?

    Not really.

    There are essentially five colors. BUT you can add different names for examples, see metadata > color label set > Edit... You might have a set for use with panoramas, one for the HDR, etc.. But a picture can have that ONE label at a time.

    A MUCH more flexible and scalable system is to use keywords for the same info, like Photo > Panorama and Photo > HDR and Photo > support, etc. You will not see a color in the grid, but the list of keywords makes it easy to do what you want. Photos may contain a number of keywords, so you can have the two 'To Do' as a keyword and "print" or something else.

  • Color label filters where are last LR CC?

    I may be missing something really obvious here, but since the last update installed on LR, I can't find the color label filter more? used to be next to "rated" in the film strip, but it isn't here now - anyone can help this confused man, before his head explodes?

    You find the color labels in the upper filter bar as Shooitstbond007 present in the screen clip?  Do not know if the two are related but

    I can get parts of the lower bar of the filter to hide but they appear back by hitting the FILTER label.  You can always try to remove the tip of preference files.  I am amazed that this affects a single file in lightroom and how it can be messed up and then spoil Lightroom.

    Replace the Lightroom preference file. Lightroomers!

  • Why can't I change the color of black text in the book LR5 module?

    Why can't I change the color of black text in the book LR5 Module?

    I guess that you clicked on the patch of color not to mention that the word to open the color selector window.

    On the right side of this window, a vertical bar which has 2 horizontal black lines down there.

    It is actually a slider. Pull upward with the color picker and color is displayed in the window.
