  Thank you led.  I managed to find another staff member of Benedict who helped erase the activation crashed computers CS3.  He crashed twice in the past two years, and I guess that the two installs exhausted my limit of 2 use even though it was really on the same computer.  In any case everything is ok now but thanks for your help too Nelson

  I just opened my new ASUS desktop with monitor Dell monitor S2340M, downloaded windows 10 top, then I installed 5 Lightroom Photoshop CS2, then the CS5 upgrade. When installing CS2 was completed, a window popped up. The 'Dell S2340M, D65 color profile' monitor profile appears defective please return your monitor calibration software. Is this a problem with the software Dell or Photoshop? I've tried to talk with the support of Dell Tec but was cut by my appeal to the India.

  No need to install CS2 first before installing the improved CS5.

  Just install CS5, enter your serial number CS5 upgrade, and then enter the serial number CS2 as a product calling.

  IHAVE CS2 and CS5.5 update discs. Now I have new PC with win8 and my old registrationd on CS2 no longer works. I have download all files for th CS2 yet once, installit with provided serial number and then move to cs5.5 or is there a way I directli this upgrade without even having to activate the CS2? I don't want to download CS2 all over again since I have it on disk.

  Hi Michael,

  Have you tried to install the CS5.5 first? Once you install the product, ask you the previous serial version, and you can then enter the serial number CS2 and that should do the job.

Someone told me that, with the current adobe products, it is permitted to install a copy on your desktop and your laptop, which is what I would do with photoshop CS5. Is this correct, or I was misinformed, and installation is limited to a single pc?

  However, my customer wants to have properly enabled versions of its software, for the obvious benefits and is willing to pay for an update to CS5 (someone else in the Office using CS5, so have them on the same version would be beneficial).

  What are the options to upgrade to CS2 to CS5?  It is a single hop (i.e. install CS5 over the existing) or do I need to upgrade progressive-step (CS2 > CS3 > CS4 > CS5)?

  Finally, where can I buy CS5?  I ran a quick search of the usual suspects (BestBuy, we have in the city) and the Amazon.  Neither showed the availability of CS5, only creative cloud that my client will simply not use).

  Adobe sells only CS6 not CS5. I can't speak for any reputable vendor that sells even CS5.

  Here is the link for CS6. It would have sold for full price. I think that the reductions are only for CS5 or CS5.5 update.

I would like to give your old computer to a family member or a friend. They will be able to use the CS2 on the old machine? (an iMac 10.6) or is it the end of the CS2?

  You only have a valid license, which is yours. You can use CS2 on your machine, or CS5 - but you can not legally give CS2 to someone else.

  The only difference between the normal and student/teacher is normally in the license, not the software.  Make sure that you try to use the serial number on the version correct appointed suite.

  Somehow, I tried to answer you, I could solve this problem.  I tried to upload the picture and somehow, it came with the Photoshop window.  I clicked on "Editing" in the region, I needed to change, and this has been resolved.  Simple.  I just needed to do something very simple.   Thank you very much for your help!

• Can no longer change in Photoshop CS5

  Recently, I uninstalled Lightroom 2.7 in favor with my recently installed Lightroom 3.  I did the same thing with regard to the Photoshop CS3 unintalling aid only my installed version of Photoshop CS5.  Thus, by coincidence or otherwise, nothing works right now.  When I open LR3 pictures and go to "Edit In", Photoshop is gray and so I am unable to make any changes outside Lightroom itself.

  Anyone know how I could fix this problem?  I'm at the point of total frustration with both programs and about to uninstall both of them and start all over again (which I'm afraid).  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  Reinstall everything CS5. I think you can do a repair to fix the problem. When you have removed CS3 the uninstaller removed some files needed for CS5.

• Failure to initialize Photoshop CS5 Upgrade

  I bought a download version of the CS5 upgrade. I'm on dial upward at home that makes a such impossible dowload (52 hours!) so I took my lap top to the library where they have high-speed and downloaded there, after a lot of difficulties. I then transferred via Flash DRIVE on my home computer where it shows on my desk (it is a method I have used for many downloads in the past), I click on the app install and then get a message this initialization failed but offers no reason. No reason is offered in either Tuning Advisor. I tried several times to re - install, but the result is always the same. I went back to my lap top to check and everything works well here, but it's not where I want to use I have only used the lap top to facilitate downloading. Can anyone offer a solution?

  You say that you had a lot of trouble downloading at the library.

  What kind of difficulties?

  Usually when a Setup program is unable to initialize, it's because of a corrupted file. The installation program (alias) or package it designates is missing data.
