Can I re - rip music files under a different type? WMA to mp3.

Stupidly, I ripped my CD of music for Windows Media Player. The default setting is for wma files. Now I want to download my music on the Amazon Cloud, and he does not accept wma files. I do not accept MP3 files. Anyway I can fix this error in novice?

You can change the settings in Windows Media Player to rip to mp3, but it would be much faster and easier to convert wma to mp3 files. Here is a free Converter:

http://download.CNET.com/free-WMA-to-MP3-Converter/3000-2140_4-10494267.html

I am surprised Amazon won't accept (or convert) wma files there are a lot of people in the same situations that you, myself included.

  • iTunes can't find my music files

In Windows employer all my music files are in the folder itunes/music/itunesmedia. My itunes is also set at this place, but most of my music has the explanation mark and will not play? What can I do?   I recently tried to clean my multiple file locations by moving ALL my music files to this place, have closed and reopened itunes and have executed the "consolidate files."  No assistance

The "missing file" error occurs if the file is no longer where iTunes is expected to find. Causes possible is that you or a third-party tool has moved, renamed or deleted the file, one of its parent folders, or the reader, he feeds has been a change to the drive letter. It is also possible that iTunes has changed from waiting for the files in the presentation of pre-iTunes 9 post-iTunes 9 layout, or vice versa, and so looking for a bit in the wrong place.

Select a track with an exclamation point, use Ctrl - I to get the information, and then click No when asked to try to locate the track. (Because of a bug in iTunes 12 you currently have to say no twice!) Look under the Summary tab for the location that iTunes thinks that the file should be. Now look around your hard drive. I hope you can locate the track in question. If a part of your library has just been moved, renamed a folder or a drive letter has changed, it should be possible to reverse actions. If the difference between the two railroads is an additional music folder in a path, then it is a problem of layout. I can explain more if this is the case. If everything is where it is supposed to be trying to fix the security permissions for iTunes for Windows.

In some cases, iTunes may be able to repair itself if you go through the same steps with Get Info, but this time, click on search and browse the lost track. Then, it can offer try to automatically correct the other broken links. Although he said something like 'use the same location' I think he expects to find the titles in the same layout artist & album that they were before, with a systematic change to the path.

If another application like Windows Media Player has moved/renamed files then the chances are that subtle differences in naming strategies will make it difficult to restore media on the precise way that iTunes is expected. In this case, as long as the missing files somewhere, you should be able to use my FindTracks script for reconnecting to iTunes. See this post for an explanation of how it works.

If you want me to try to provide specific advice, please post back the following details:

    1. The location of the media file under Edit > Preferences > advanced
    2. The location of a sample of missing follow indicated under Get Info > file > location which begins file://localhost/
    3. The real path to the file which you gave 2 details.

  • How can I access my music files through Windows Media Player?

    OK, here's the facts:
    I have Windows Vista.
Most of my music in my music is missing.
I can view and listen to the music of "missing" in Windows Media Player (library).
In Windows Media player, if I click on a song and 'open file location' need me for my music, and the file is not there.
Looking for songs via the start menu or through my computer does not work.
MP3 audio files are also missing.

Not having access to the original files, I can't add music files individually to my mp3 (Windows Media Player lets you synchronize files only, and I don't want to lose a part of the 'missing' files I have on my mp3 using the Sync feature).

How can I access my music? Clearly, it is still on my computer somewhere since I can play through Windows Media Player.

    Hello

Step 1: Check what all records are controlled by the player. Then check these records, if the music file is present.

Step 2: View the folder hid

  • How to convert a WPL of music file in my Windows 7 to an MP3 for a Sandisk Clip Sport formart

Song downloaded to Windows 7 Media Center. It is a WPL format, but I can't play on my SanDisk Clip Sport MP3 player because the player does not support this file format. How can I change the WPL to MP3 format?

Hi Natalie - WPL is a playlist file and cannot be converted to mp3 because it contains only pointers to the actual music files. You need locate the actual music files and transfer them from there. (They may not be no need for conversion - it depends if they are in a format supported by the SanDisk card - it seems to support usual ones).

    Cheers, Ric.

  • iTunes now pointing to music files not completely different!

    Hello

I just migrated my iTunes library on a NAS (sinology DS216-J).

It worked fine for a few days but now when I try to play a track he plays at all and when I go to view in the Finder it points to a photo file even if the music file is safely on the NAS.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Thank you

    JO

I knew from your subject without even opening the thread that has a NAS would be involved in this.  This type of post is usually a SIN in it somewhere.  iTunes and NAS do not work well together. There is not really a solution. For some it works for a while, or even a long time, for others this kind of thing happens. Without rhyme or reason. You are better to use the SIN as a backup drive and keep the iTunes library on a normal external hard drive.

  • Why windows media Center can't find my music files?

All my music is stored on a drive separate expansion and Windows Media Center has this drive configured as the search for the music folder but it is not picking up all the tracks in folders.  EG - on a single CD folder it shows only 3 of 14 titles available.  I tried to re - select the folder of extensible file again, but it still captures all the tracks?

    Hi SandraRatcliffe,

    (1) since when are you facing this problem?

    (2) remember to make changes?

I suggest you to remove the Windows Media Center data store. To do this, follow the steps mentioned below

    (a) exit any running instance of Windows Media Center.

    (b) delete the file from media Center DataStore.db. By default, this file is located in the following location:

    (c) %SYSTEMDRIVE%\ProgramData\Microsoft\eHome\mediaCenterDataStore.db

To remove the file, follow these steps:

    (d) click on start, then run.

    (e) in the Open box, type run and then click OK

    (f) If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type the password, or click on continue.

    (g) in the Open box, type % systemdrive%\programdata\microsoft\ehome, and then click OK.

    (h) in the Details pane, right-click media center datastore.db and then click on remove.

    (i) click Yes to confirm that you want to move the Mediacenterdatastore.db file to the trash.

    (j) to start Windows Media Center, and then check.
