Can I recover from a damaged screen Nexus 4 Firefox bookmarks?

I cleverly broke the screen on my Nexus 4 lately, so while the phone itself works (and I can log in to view / edit files using a USB cable), I can't do anything that involves the use of the screen (download / running apps, writing, etc.).

I have now replaced it with a Samsung Galaxy S6 and have installed the Firefox browser for mobiles, but would like to get my old favorites off the coast of the Nexus. I hadn't used synchronization, or all apps to save them, so I guess my only option is if I can copy in the whole of system files.

Is it possible- and if so, where can I find the? I found a Computer\Nexus 4\Internal storage\Android\data\org.mozilla.firefox folder, but it doesn't seem to have anything in it (0 files, 2 folders). I'm not very optimistic at this point, but appreciate any suggestions!

You would need to root the phone to access the bookmarks/history file (browser.db).

You might see if this folder is located on your computer.  Depending on how you installed Windows, it could be an old version of some files in pre-installation.

    C:\Windows.Old\

But beyond that, there's no other place I could think that perhaps it would be after a reinstallation.

Shameless plug for the new version:
If you used Windows 8, all of your documents, files, Favorites, bookmarks are saved on your Microsoft Account so that you can use them even if you get a new computer (or reinstall an old one).

Have you had a glance at this startup repair disk?

Download the ISO on the link provided and make a record of repair time it starts.

Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.

When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.

  • How can I recover from a corrupted registry that prevents the start of Windows XP OEM version?

Turned on my Dell PC today to find wonderful "Windows XP could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt: \WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\CONFIG\SYSTEM"message. "  I have a Dell 8400 which had pre-installed XP Prof. when I bought it.  I found the MS page that deals with the issue of the file, but they cite... "Do not use the procedure that is described in this article if your computer has an OEM operating system installed." http://support.microsoft.com/kb/307545 ... but gave no alternative instructions if you do.  ????

How someone does solve this problem if they have an OEM operating system and do not want delete or lose the data they had on the hard drive?

I tried to go in safe mode to see if I could get a restore, but failed to go beyond the Dell BIOS screen.
I tried Dell support does site... no help.  Just a page to list the errors and buttons for your favorite web search gee thanxs engines.

    Help!

You can always make use of KB307545, if you start your computer from a CD with a system.  I find that free Linux Livecd such as Knoppix or Ubuntu works well for this purpose (if you use Ubuntu, make sure you have not install; instead of this, use the option "Try Me").  You download an .iso file and use the "Burn Image" of your burning program CD to create a CD bootable on another machine and then use this system to perform the steps of KB307545.  Linux has the advantage of protections on the folder "System Volume Information" don't get in the way and where you need to back up your system (before reinstalling Windows), it doesn't have the path of 256 byte limit that has Windows.

After booting from the Live CD of Linux, start KB307545 of part 2, step 6.  You will use Linux to move, copy and delete files instead of command line commands, but you should be able to find a way to do it.  You won't have to restart between part 2 and part 3, but you need to remove the CD and reboot after completing part 3.  Make sure you complete part 4.

If things are really bad, you can use the Live CD as a system for access to your files and back up an external hard drive, USB or network before you reinstall Windows.

  • Need help recovering from a blue screen. I re from the installation discs on hand and not intend to save all data currently on the hard disk.

A number of months ago one of our computer got a virus and has gradually become unusable. He started as a kind of spyware, that obviously was not what it seemed. Now, we are to receive a blue screen every time we try to start the computer if I try in safe mode it brings me to the "Administrator" or "name of the wife." When I click on one of these he says it saves the parameters and then returns the same screen. I received what I believe to be the re installation of Dell discs, but now I don't know how to access. Thanks advance!

If you have a Dell recovery disk, put it in the optical drive and restart the computer. As the computer starts, press the F12 key and choose to boot from the optical drive. The restore disc will start and that you follow the instructions.

If you have a true Dell disk operating system, follow the steps above to boot from the disc of the operating system. Here are the links explaining how to do a fresh install of XP. Once your operating system is installed, you will then need to install the drivers for all your hardware. If you have received a genuine Dell OS disk you have too a disc called "Dell Resource CD". This CD has all of the drivers. Put in the drive, install the application, and then install the drivers that are found.

Don't forget to update XP Service Pack 3 and make all Windows updates. Update of the common as programs Adobe Reader, Java, Flash, etc. for the latest versions. Install a good antivirus like NOD32 (commercial), Avast or Avira (free versions available).

My Iwatch is synchronized with an Iphone which contained the water damage, and I had to replace my phone. Can I recover my photos of my Iwatch?

    Hello

No - you can't retrieve pictures directly from your watch. However, you can add your replacement iPhone.

Apple Watch stores the photos in an album photo sync on your iPhone. By default, it's on your album of Favorites (the photos that you have marked as Favorites). The photos may not be synchronized / extra back to your new iPhone to your watch - synchronization only works on the other hand.

To keep the same pictures on your watch once it is paired with your replacement iPhone, you must add these same photos to the iPhone. You may be able to do this by restoring a recent backup of your iPhone:

    - Restore your device from an iCloud or iTunes backup - Apple Support

Once the pictures are on your iPhone, select the album to synchronize with your watch:

-On your iPhone, in the application of Eve, go to: My Watch (low left tab) > Photos > synced Album > selects an album > allow them to synchronize after changing the albums.

  • Satellite L300 - I can recover from the hidden partition

    Hello

The vista on my L300 will not start.

I try to use the modem for the first time, but he could not communicate with the line. So I delete in "Device Manager".

After the reboot, vista boot screen appears only for 3 seconds then restart the laptop. There is no way, no safe mode...

Contact the hd as an external drive XP say 'unknown' 0 bytes, with Linux just like named 'vista' and I could open all the files.

I have no recovery. DVD burning with the Toshiba Recovery program has failed tree times and so I give up.

the hidden partition is ok. On my laptop from a different manufacture, I can recover from this hidden partition. Is it possible to do it on my L300?

    Thanks for the information

    Thorsten

    Hello!

The hidden partition you want to say has nothing to do with the Toshiba recovery image.
There are files for system restore, and it is a feature of Vista, not Toshiba. If you want more information about the restore of the system here is a good article from Wikipedia:
    http://en.Wikipedia.org/wiki/WinRE

The HARD drive recovery folder contains the original recovery image and if you don t have access to this folder and do not burn the recovery disc, you need a new.
You can get one from an ASP, but you can also order a disc here:
    https://backupmedia.Toshiba.EU/landing.aspx

    Good bye

Have had problems since 31/12/09.  Tech replaced Dell hard drive 14/01/10 because all software solutions did not resolve various problems, including the screen black and white letters indicating the mode without failure, or count down the regular opening.  System Restore has used several times, all software removed and replaced.  New Quickbooks reinstalled two times 10, it usually starts up quickly.  I was told not to turn it off, just let it run.  It automatically goes into sleep mode, it still does not start correctly.  Last message is that Windows has recovered from an unexpected shutdown;  Windows can check online for a solution to the problem.  Problem event name: bluescreen
