• Can't resize external backup Time Machine in the hard disk partition

  I have a Seagate Expansion to drive 3 that I use for storing files as well and Time Machine. Initially when I set up the drive, I allocated 350GB for the partition that I use with Time Machine.

  I use a 256GB MacBook Pro and Time Machine is now advising me constantly backup capsule is short of space. I have 2 questions:

  1. Disk utility does not allow me to resize the partition of Time Machine (I can only reduce the size using resize controls). Also, I can't delete the partition, because the minutes signed is grayed out (see screenshot) - However, I am able to erase this partition. What can I do to resize (and expand) this partition, or delete it and create a larger partition for use with Time Machine?
  2. What is the best size to send to the Time Machine partition in order to keep my Mac saved 256 GB?

  A drive that is mounted or shared may present as "Busy" that could prevent resizing.

  Try to disassemble the disc (with the assembly/disassembly button in disk utility) and see if it works better. Then mount it again before leaving the disk utility, or do a reboot to mount again.

• Can Quicktime 7.7.9 automatically re-install the web plugins?

  I am familiar with the installation in silent mode for Quicktime.  In the past, it has always worked well.  However, with QuickTime 7.7.9, it deliberately delete on the web plugins in the installation/update.  Documentation indicates that in order to get the rear plugins, rerun the Setup program and select them specifically.

  Obviously, Apple wants to phase out the web plugins.  But their own site from trailer of the film (see http://trailers.apple.com) * requires * them.  So I'm confused as to why 7.7.9 steals him outside, and especially why it seems, on the surface, to have a way to automatically include in the installation (or re-add-the) If you wish.

  Then... Is there a .msi switch that will automate the registration/re-registration of web-plugins in the installation of QuickTime (so I can potentially get 400 machines to continue to be able to disseminate the contents of own site QuickTime Apple Web without having to reinstall manually on each of them?)?  Or is there a file .mst I can use/create that will allow this?

  OK - Fortunately, I answered my own question.  If you open the MSI in Orca (or whatever the MSI editor), you will see a switch is available: INSTALLLEVEL

  So:

  msiexec /i Quicktime.msi /qn... INSTALLLEVEL = 4...

  .. .will be install all the existing stuff (including web plugins).  If you really want to get detailed, I guess you could create a .mst in Orca, which specifies INSTALLLEVEL 3 for components inherited from stuff and the web.  You can specify the INSTALLLEVEL = 3 and leave out the inherited things, you don't want (like the java plugin).

  Don't want incoming when I am out of the country, reloaded emails on my blackberry for each incoming e-mail.  So with an atomatic answer that I can not answer would help that shoot.

  I don't see what that has to do with Vista can I or WIndows mail.  Usually, go you to your mailbox, which is located on a server, not on your PC, directly from the Blackberry.  I don't know anyway to have an automated response to messages that arrive in your Inbox on the server side and it is likely that your Blackberry will see little matter what type of response automated you have.  If I was faced with this situation, I would create a Google Mail account, set up my original (server side) account for messages automatically transfer to the gmail account and ignore gmail until my back account.  You can have your original mailbox to send an automatic response, if you want to, because it transmits incoming messages to other mailboxes mailbox.  Your Blackberry should not see the outgoing messages from the server.

• How can I get my iTunes movies to fit the entire screen?

  When I watch movies on iTunes, every movie has a big black bar at the top and bottom.  Is there a way to get the film to fit the entire screen?  I have a 13 "MacBook Pro.  Everything is as up-to-date as possible at the moment.

  These "black bars" are there because the format of the movies a lot that you see at the theatre is extra wide.  There is no way to precisely adapt the movie on your Mac screen, because the shape (aspect ratio) of the screen and the film are different.  If you made the film at the same height as the screen of your Mac, you lose the right and left of the film frame edges, so you wouldn't see the movie.

  By default, Muse resizes the image and the image. However, you can control this behavior by selecting the cropping tool in the Toolbox. If you do this, then when you type the new values for the width or height that the dimensions of the frame will be changed. This is the behavior even if you use the tool of cropping on the item in Design view.

  How about you try settings > safari > passwords and by adding an entry for the portal. Assuming of course he has a static URL.

  If you read this manual for iOS Apple's Safari, it seems that Safari will respond to an offer/suggestion by a Web site, but does not have to remember a username or password otherwise. I guess the "when prompted" is a reaction of Safari to a website, not the other way around.

  

  I also would not assume that their portal invites you to register a user name. As I understand it in web programming, it is not a given.

  FWIW, my library has a similar sign in the program installation, but with their check boxes to remember my user name and PIN code. He worked for 4 weeks and then resets. When asked, they say it's a safety thing.

  I have a porgam in which I use a table as a command (with specific values that goes from the user before running the program). By mistake at the beginning, I created a table of 4 dimension (for example), but I didn't because I was showing only the first 3 values (not to expand the table to 4 or more). I would now like to change the size of the array of 4-3. I don't seem to be able to find an option (right click on the table) which allows me to do so directly. I don't want to use the icon "reshape the table", because it is not what I want to do. I hope I am clear enough.

  • Right click on the additional array element, then... Select 'delete data operations.
  • Now go to the menu bar and not "current default values edit..make'
  • Save the VI.

  Is there a way to quickly evolve a selected layer so that it fits the canvas of a PS document? I need to load several high resolution images in a small canvas and for the moment the only way I know to resize images to fit the canvas is for them the scale manually by using the free transform.

  In Adobe After Effects, you have the opportunity to evolve a layer automatically to fit the size of the publication (horizontally or vertically). Is there any option in Photoshop?

  If it is a mixture of spacing and margins.

  Win.Spacing = 1;  min spacing between items. 1 pixel

  Win.Margins = [0,0,0,0] / / margins as a frame around the outermost and window elements.

  It spread down to groups and panels, so if buttons in a group, set the properties for the Panel.

  Also, you must pay attention to know about automatic available and hard-coding some of this stuff, they may conflict.

  I like to hardcode some stuff for more control, but it can take longer at the bug and the difficulty to leave automatically layout control.

  Say I have create a doc with a size A4, 300 p/po

  When I import a jpg on a layer file (drag and drop), PS automatically resizes the jpg to fit the horizontal width of the doc. Even if the jpg is massive, like the 5000 X 3000 pixels.

  This resizing seems to be non-destructive, so any info is rained on the jpg.

  BUT! : my question is: how to teach ch to import the jpg to its original size, as well as the jpg 1 pixel = 1 pixel in my doc?

• Can not get the video to fit the link area

  I'm always quite known Premier Pro and all it's things. I've been playing with it works for a few years and it worked perfectly all the while. But NOW, of all times, I can't encourage them to do what I want.

  I'm trying to get my video to fit the black link area where you watch the video (sorry, I don't know the name...). When I first import it and drag it to my desktop it really swells up and when I try to resize I get black lines around the video.

  I did it happen by chance... once. And because it was an accident, I have NO idea how to do to reproduce. If anyone can help out me that would be great! ~

  What John said:-However, be sure to make a new sequence of a VIDEO clip that is used in production and not a chart/still image that can radically different sizes and proportions! If your image is not of the program window, click with the right button and choose 'Scale to the chassis' and he will adapt. However, if the proportions are not the same, you can always expect black bars. In this case, use the motion effect and adjust the scale as needed to make it fit the window if need be.
