Can I save changes PS in an xmp file to be read by LR?

I ask this because I have hundreds of photos that were taken on a 5 d with a striped filter, so I'm treat brands as the dust bunnies and get rid of them in the same way, using spot healing and for scratches, whtever function is called when you use the spot Healing Brush tool but you 'draw lines '.
However, I am one of those who has deplorable performance in Lightroom edits then after that maybe 20 spot heals the computer slows to be unusable. So that I can send the file in PS/CS6, as the same thing can't here.
I quickly fix all my spots and stripes and then I seem to have only the option of saving the file as a TIF to LR.
What I'd like to do, is save the xmp file, and then have LR update the image given these changes xmp.
Is this possible or should I continue to have the additional TIF file?

If the photos are in RAW format, you can open them using Adobe Camera Raw in Bridge CS6 to use the spot Healing Brush tool and the changes will be written in an xmp file, which can then be read by Lightroom.

  • Harassed by "save changes" dialog box in PHP file Live View on DW CC 2014?

    Hello

I am being constantly harassed by the dialog "save changes to < document name >' when I'm working in Live view on DW CC 2014. Every time I have changes to the code, especially if I use the properties toolbar, I was immediately prompted to save the changes. I realize the rendering system account must have a recorded document to view from, but this happens after every single little change. If I look at watching the live view and decide to make some changes to the code I can get invited several times while I make these changes and it is not until the changes are finished I want to check live view again (when I save the document), but I have to keep stopping to reject dialogue! This means that I must keep turn off live view to make relatively small changes, and then turn it back on.

I've always been able to work OK in this way on all previous versions using the 'Preview using temporary file' parameter, but this version works the same way. I'm not bothered if I save the file when changes are made in order to update the live view, so just remove the dialog box would be a decent solution.

    Thanks for any help

  • How can I save an email as a text file before you delete it my Inbox?

Some emails I want to save on my computer so that I can view without opening to the top of my email. I'm used to be able to do this by registering in a document as a text file folder. (Outlook express). I don't find this capablity in Thunderbird. If it is there, I have not found it.

File | Register under gives you several options. By default, it will save in an .eml file, which will need an e-mail client to display. You can usually save drag-and-drop, but that creates an .eml file too.

You can save as HTML by putting in a file html extension when you do file | Save as.

    This add-on:

offers several options to save one or more messages in different formats.

  • Lightroom 4.1 change unused psd, jpg, xmp file in the catalog?

I've recently upgraded to 4.1 LR on Win 7 x 64 machine. I noticed that a large number of jpg, psd and maybe some xmp files that are in my catalog was their last modified date value date even if I does not modify them. What is a possible problem with Lightroom 4.1? (I've also upgraded to PS CS6 but do not edit the files in question).

Another note: they tend to be older files (1 year or more) and a physical disk (which happens to have older files) and not another.

    Thank you!

Post edited by: waforum123: amended to add that the dates of the jpg files have also changed.

I think I have figured this out. I deleted some keywords (from the list of keywords). I think Lightroom has gone through and rewrote all the files that had these keywords in generating them a bunch of xmp, newly modified jpg, psd etc...

  • Save the questions: message error "the file may be read-only.

I do a lot of scanning to PDF and will often add a page newly digitized to an existing pdf archived and then resave it.

I have a very consistent workflow and use both screens. The folders that contain the files are still on my second monitor while I work on the main screen.

After that I inserted the page newly digitized in the existing pdf very often I get an error Impossible to save the file:

The file may be read-only or another user can open. Please save the document under a different name or in a different folder.

I'm the only user, none of the files are read-only, and I am sure that the file I'm re-record is not enabled (I see that on my second screen).

Sometimes, if I click on the second screen to another folder, he'll let re-register me, but other times I have to close the Windows Explorer completely.

I would avoid renaming of files: it is important to keep the name of the original file.

This seems to happen a lot more with Acrobat X Pro version 9. It's very embarrassing.

    No known workaround solution?

The folders that contain the files are still on my second screen

In the case of Windows (a Mac user will have to talk about this for the environment).

If Windows Explorer is "focused" on the file (for example, the file selected) or has the "focus" on the parent or the files folder/directory you get the alert dialog box.

Close Windows Explorer or place its development d.

In addition, if the preview feature is used for files in a folder (or in a nested subfolder files) you will experience similar "speed humps" in the path of the workflow.

Was not always in this way, but the OS updates (XP, Vista, etc.) seem to have given us some clever new options which, by coincidence, there are some pitfalls.

  • Photoshop can't save changes

Photoshop CC 2014 does not save the changes and must be closed through Ctrl alt del and the changes are lost hopin that someone can help you.

    Thank you, John

It still does not work and I pull my what I had left little hair. I phoned Adobe this afternoon and a very helpful guy took over my computer and doing different things in Photoshop, including using the CC tool once again, uninstalling and reinstalling and remove some Photoshop files in program files on the computer. I am very pleased to announce that it now works perfectly.

The only downside is that all my plugins disappeared. But that said, I wonder if they have caused problems and Photoshop works a lot faster without them. I can't take the risk to resettle them as Photoshop done enough and everything you need anyway.

Thank you for your help and good luck.
