can I upgrade vista to windows 7 using the media of pre-release?
LuckyHelloI have Windows Vista SP2 on my machine. can I he move to Windows 7 using Windows 7 Ultimate draft?
A preliminary version is not a permanent solution and to this date can not activate or update properly. You have two choices:
(1) get you a Windows 7 upgrade version. (2) Windows 7 Trial (see the last part of my post).
With a choice, it is always a good idea to create a backup Image of your hard drive before moving from Vista to Windows 7.

Can I upgrade my computer Windows Vista 32 bit to 64 bit with the specs of my computer?
Here's a question. I want to upgrade my pc to a 32-bit - 64-bit, 120-750 hdd hard drive and the RAM to 4gbs. is it possible for a 32-bit processor, 512 MB RAM oringally vista home 120hdd?
original title: everything just curious...Hello
Check with your system manufacturer (manufacturer of motherboard for custom systems) to see if your computer
can run Windows 7. If so check to see if it can run 64-bit which has higher minimum
requirements than 32-bit. Finally check to see if the hardware upgrades that you make will be
work in this computer. Don't forget if you spend a lot of money on upgrades, you may have
but could a new computer for the same price. And then you'd have two systems.Windows 7 system requirements

Also check the Compatibility Center
http://www.Microsoft.com/Windows/compatibility/Windows-7/en-us/default.aspxTo see if you can run XP, Vista, or Windows 7 64-BIT, you will need to check with the system
manufacturer if it is 64-bit capable. Are there drivers 64-bit for all devices? To run 64-bit you
need 64-bit drivers (and the system must be able to run this version of Windows 64-bit).I hope this helps and happy holidays!

The product key for my Windows XP Home Edition is: XXXX-deleted-XXXX. While working in the PC, I get a MESSAGE"blingin on-screen ' OSB LOCKED: I want to know how to stop the message often displayed blinging."
My second question is can I upgrade my system Windows Vista freely.
My Hotmail ID of single widows is: [redacted]
Rigaut
First of all - do not post in a public forum product keys.
Second - "OSB LOCKED"... Of course you did not mean "OSD LOCKED? (a 'd' and not a 'B'...)
OSD is the "On Screen Display" and has nothing to do with what version of Windows you have - but with yor monitor. Look here:
http://www.thefakegeek.com/2009/04/how-to-unlock-an-OSD-lockout-problem/
http://h30434.www3.HP.com/T5/other-desktop-PC-questions/OSD-locked/TD-p/40291Last - is impossible to freely pass your system to Windows Vista. Windows Vista is a product different from Windows XP and you will need to obtain a license.

Can I upgrade vista ultimate 32 bit sp2 for vista 64-bit?
Ranging from a 32-bit operating system 64-bit operating system is NOT a upgrade path.
It must do a clean install with a full version of a Vista 64 bit operating system.

I have a desktop pc with 2 internal hard drives. A hard drive has the BONE and the second hard disk is a separate partition. (I do not combine hard drives using RAID.) If I upgrade Vista to Windows 7, the upgrade will be to reformat hard disks or just a hard drive with the operating system? Should I remove the second hard disk of the computer just to be sure? The second hard drive must be reformatted for use with Windows 7?
Thank you.
You must install the upgrade in the Vista operating system.

Why can't upgrade to 10 Windows in Windows Vista
They gave me this pc in June. Said info Windows 10 update was provided in April and refused. What should I do now to upgrade?
Somewhere along the line you have to buy an upgrade of the operating system, whether it's 7, 8.1, or just buy 10 outright.
It's something that I put up some time covering different Vista upgrade scenarios and controls you should do:
Depends on hardware configuration required on later operating systems, and also find out if the manufacturer of the laptop computer is supported and provides drivers for operating systems later as to whether it is possible or feasible to upgrade or not.
There is no free upgrade Vista to 7, 8.1, or 10.
Follow these steps before you buy Windows 7.
Microsoft sells more than 7; Try Amazon.com.
Go to your computer / computer laptop manufacturer Web site and see if Windows 7 drivers are available for your make and model computer / laptop.
If this is not available, Windows 7 will not properly work for you.
Run the "Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor.

Follow these steps before buy you and upgrade (new installation) of Windows 8.1.
Microsoft sells more than 8/8.1.
Try Amazon.com, etc.
Check if the manufacturer of your computer/laptop has Windows 8.1 drivers available for your model.
If this is not available, Windows 8.1 not install and work properly for you.
There is a lot of information in this first link from Microsoft:
Download and run the Windows Upgrade Assistant 8.1 of to see if your machine is compatible Windows 8.1 and read the update for Windows 8.1: FAQ here

Yes, it is said that in the title. I want to reinstall them and upgrade. If I buy and download the upgrade windows 7 will there be an option to wipe the hard drive and delete the partitions?
Hi NoahFrank,
No, you will not get an option to erase hard disk or delete partitions during the upgrade of your operating system. However, you will get this option during custom installation.
Formatting your hard drive during a custom installation of Windows 7 permanently erases everything on the partition that you put in the form, including your files, settings and programs.

Upgrade Vista to Windows 8 fails because it cannot tell if my PC is ready
I downloaded the upgrade for $40 from Windows Vista to Windows 8. I'm trying to upgrade from my office, but I get the message "something's happened, we can't tell if your PC is ready to continue the installation of Windows 8" Try restarting the whole upward. »
I tried to restart Setup several times with the same result. Any ideas on how I can prepare my PC for this upgrade?
On another another attempt to upgrade, I noticed a transitional message that windows 8 find all updates required but necessary to restart. It has not restarted automatically but rather moved to the next step. I manually restarted the computer and now, as of the beginning of the upgrade, the upgrade has started.
