    Hey Buddy,

I think you need to uninstall the ATI Catalyst (display driver) driver because the version is too old and is not compatible with Vista. You can uninstall the display driver in Control Panel > uninstall the software. There you should find a list with all installed programs and drivers.

New display driver, you can download on the official website of Toshiba:
    http://www.CSD.Toshiba.com

  • How to get a hp 4600 Color Laser jet print on a vista or Windows 7 64 - bit OS PC which does not have a parallel port connection?

My hp 4600 color Laser Jet uses a parallel cable to connect to a Windows PC. When I had XP as the OS it worked fine. But now after the upgrade to Vista or Windows 7 64-bit OS it will not work and my PC does not even recognize it when it is plugged into the PC with the parallel to USB cable that worked so well before. So, what should I do to get the PC to recognize the Hp 4600 and have it printed again as before? (My first plan is to try to get the printer to work by hooking up through Wireless. Does anyone know if it will work? I'll answer my own question, if it does. Wish me luck! (Thank you!)

According to the HP support site, there are drivers available for Vista and Windows 7 If you're lucky it. Download the appropriate drivers for your computers. According to the information of product from HP, this printer can be connected directly to the network by an ethernet cable. I don't see where it has wireless capability, but in any case ethernet is preferable for printer connections if possible.

Connect the printer directly to your router or switch connected to your router and assign a static IP address outside the range the router DHCP. Then, install the drivers that you got from the HP website for your operating system.

Can I replace 32-bit vista with Windows 8 64-bit on my amd athlon x 64 machine?

When you change from 32 bit to 64, it must be done by a clean install.  You can upgrade or replace.

  • Upgrade Vista to Windows 7, files using the second internal hard drive and Windows Easy Transfer.

I have a desktop pc with 2 internal hard drives.  A hard drive has the BONE and the second hard disk is a separate partition.  (I do not combine hard drives using RAID.)  If I upgrade Vista to Windows 7, the upgrade will be to reformat hard disks or just a hard drive with the operating system?  Should I remove the second hard disk of the computer just to be sure?  The second hard drive must be reformatted for use with Windows 7?

    Thank you.

You must install the upgrade in the Vista operating system.

  • HP Pavilion KE472AA Vista to Windows 7 32 bit upgrade

I'm hoping to move from Vista to Windows 7... been thru Microsoft "Upgrade Advisor" and he can't say one way or the other if my PC can take W7... He suggested that using the HP website, but I can see only change from Vista to XP out there... advice please?

    Hello:

I looked at all the material on your PC from the page on record, and the only devices that can not work on W7 is the TV tuner and the wireless network adapter.

There is no W7 drivers for those.  Maybe the drivers Vista will work, but I would have no way of telling that they would.

There are W7 drivers for the Radeon HD 2400 from the site Web AMD and nForce 430 chipset directly from nvidia drivers.

Audio drivers directly from Realtek.  The nVidia chipset drivers to also install the ethernet controller.

    Installation - 'upgrade' means what?
Upgrade means that you can install Windows 7 simply by inserting the Windows 7 upgrade software in the DVD drive of your PC and follow the instructions on the screen. While you are not required to backup and reinstall your files, or reinstall your programs, it is a very good idea to back up your files and settings before you start any upgrade to the software. Get more information on the software updates and best practices .

Installation - what does "Custom (Clean)" Mean?
A custom (clean) installation clears the contents of the hard drive of your PC. Your files, settings, and programs will not be transferred to Windows 7. This means that to install Windows 7, you must:

    • Back up any files and settings you want to keep

    • Install Windows 7

    • Reinstall all your files

    • Reinstall all the programs you want to use.

These four steps take time, skills, techniques and Windows Easy Transfer can help. However, if you are not comfortable with this process, please consider having the installation carried out by a local service provider.

I am upgrading of Windows Vista Home Premium (32-bit) for Windows 7 Home Premium (32 bit) - but getting stopped everytime I try, I end up with a dialog box stating: "Windows cannot copy files required for installation. What should I do to resolve this problem and allow full of Windows 7 installation? (my computer is a Compaq Presario V6000).

    Hello

What installation media you are using?

    Method 1:

Error 0 x 80070017 translates "CRC error" which means that the files that are copied from the disc are not making it to the hard drive with the same structure, which means that the 'original' the disk files are modified/changed/corrupted while being copied to the location of the 'destination' on your disk during Setup.

This usually means a bad DVD, or an error reading on the DVD player.
