Can I use my windows already activated on my new computer?

I bought a copy of windows 8 and used it on my laptop. Unfortunately, my laptop broke down and needed a motherboard replacement. I bought a new computer instead. I'll be able to use my windows 8 on the new computer because my laptop is older is no longer in use?

You cannot use a Windows 8 upgrade license to install on a computer without an operating system.

You need the complete installation OEM system builders version Windows 8 to do what you want to do:

Yes, you can transfer it to the new computer and restart phone.

If this is an upgrade license, the computer you transfer must have a license of previous qualification.

You may need to reactivate by phone:

    1) click Start and in the search for box type: slui.exe 4

    (2) press the ENTER"" key.

    (3) select your "country" in the list.

  • Windows easy transfer. I can't use transfer to move files to the new computer

I used windows easy transfer to back up my files to an external hard drive before doing a clean install of windows 7, XP.

I am unable to find any "windows easy transfer" files on the hard drive for transfer to the new computer.

ALL the files from my old computer are there and I am able to access it from the external hard drive.

Please tell me there is an easy way to transfer files and I don't have to do it manually.

What is the error message when you try to restore files in Windows 7?

Also, did you really use the Windows Easy Transfer Wizard to back up your files or did you use the built in the files and Settings Transfer wizard in Windows XP? If you used the files and Settings Transfer Wizard, that won't work no.

You must install Windows Easy Transfer on Windows XP, save the files as one. MIG file on your external drive, restore it on the Windows 7 computer. See for instructions:

  • Can I use program express email outlook on a new computer with operating system windows 7?

I prefer Outlook Express Windows Live Mail email program, but will be Outlook Express even work on my new 64 bit (former is 32-bit) computer?   One of the reasons why I don't like Windows Live Mail is because it uses the same address book for all of the mailboxes, and when you try to migrate the contacts of XP it's 2, 3, & 4 times with some of the addresses, sometimes creating a mess and is a long time to clean up.  Look forward to our question.  Your help will be greatly appreciated!  Rog

Outlook Express is not compatible with Windows 7.

I also liked and had to resort to Live Mail.

I also agree with the disorder of the address, I went through it also.

Give it time, it will grow on you. It's nice when you sign in to hotmail, you also have access to your address book when you are not at your computer at home.

  • How can I use my portable Adobe CS5 on my new computer license

    Hello

I bought Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 Design Standard (student and teacher edition) when I started studying, but I have installed in the PC no longer works. My new laptop is a macbook, so how do I use my subscription on this laptop? I tried to download the CS5 Design Standard of the Adobe Web site, but it does not accept my product key, saying "this serial number is not valid for this product". So, what should I do? I am still a student so I can't afford to update for cc, but I need very expensive Adobe products for my thesis.

    Kind regards

    Katariina

If your student permit is a Mac version, then you should be able to download CS5.5 and activate it with your serial number.  Your serial number does not work for another version, so try to get the work of CS5 will not get anywhere.  CS5 and CS5.5 are two quite different versions (5.5 should have been 6)

  • I can't receive updates Windows 7 Pro on the new computer laptop

The Windows 7 update does not communicate with Microsoft. After hours of waiting, the update does not connect to get my updates. I'm unable to download Virtual PC because of this. It is a new HP workstation. I called Microsoft to help, but after that 2 technicians worked remotely for hours, they told me that I have to be helped by a level 2 Tech. I made an appointment which was confirmed for 6-8 h, HE, but after 2 hours of waiting, I don't got no call! So I called Microsoft tech again once they apologized and made another appointment at 9:00 this morning, but still no call! How we get the shoring they need with insufficient help from Microsoft?

This will not solve your problem. This is because default work insufficiently update clients. Also, your replacement computer, will show symptoms until KB3161647 included in KB3172605, is applied.

    Best regards, VZ

  • I'm travelling. How can I use the portable Photoshop & Lightroom in a new computer?

I have Photshop & Lightroom installed in my home PC which is very powerful.
Now, I go to another country and I pay a monthly payment for the use of Photoshop and Lightroom.

I travel with a laptop and I would like to use Photoshop.
No idea how to do it. Is this possible?

    Thank you in advance!

Yes as long as the new book is the second computer you install LR and PS on.

Just go to the Adobe site and download the creative application Cloud then install the LR and PS one. Connect by using the Adobe ID associated with your subscription.

  • Can I use my Windows 7 key refuse on a new computer

After 4 years on a new laptop with Windows XP preinstalled, it was able to live usage conditions useage, being that student on a level 3 course HE computer is an essential tool.

When Windows 7 is released, I don't a not jump directly into it as Windows XP always lived to its needs, but a few months after Windows 7 was released, it was time to update in order to track performance and safety more with Windows 7, offering more features that it was difficult not to be upgraded. So I got out a got a copy of Windows 7 Home Premium (32-bit and 64-bit). After that installation of the difference was clear, it was worth the investment.

Recently, this computer gave up finally to go and has since been replaced by a custom built Tower currently using Windows XP Professional SP3 but it simply not the same thing, because once you upgrade to 7 you never want to go back and still currently the object of a student full time I could opt to buy a 2nd key at the student rate, but why give up what works already?

More to the point it will be possible to use the same product key to activate Windows 7 even on the new computer? I understand also manual activation may be required.

Can I use the Windows key from another computer non-working on my computer? I took the key of this computer and used on my current computer, but I get a message indicating that the key is not authentic, even if it is directly from a previously active computer.

    Original title: Activation

    Hello

No.; If the operating system on the other came computer preinstalled (Dell, HP, Acer, etc.) you can't use it on another PC.

If the laptop/computer came with preinstalled Windows operating system (Dell, HP, Acer, etc.), this product key provided with your computer/laptop to the OEM license preinstalled and is not transferable.

OEM license/product key (systems of operating pre-installed on Dell, HP, etc.) is related to the first machine it is installed on and dies when dies of this machine.

Only retail Operating System license that you buy and install yourself, are allowed to be transferred to another machine.

And retail licenses also can be installed on a machine at one time.

    See you soon.
