ShellExecuteEx failed; Code 203

I searched around a field for this and I'm not sure what to do,
whenever I try to download anything it continues to show this:
Error
ShellExecuteEx failed; Code 203.
The system could not find the environment option that was entered.

I don't know what this means, and I delete some files on this computer about a month and half ago. but I really didn't know what I was doing
I'm not very good at computers and I don't have any CD or anything with me because I had this awhile ago.
It is a windows vista
and a computer laptop advent.
Please help ASAP!
Thank you, Mary.

Delete "some files" probably wasn't a good idea. Given that we have no idea of what you were doing (except that you shouldn't have removed "from the files'), all I can say is that fix you your computer. Back up your data first.

First run the System File Checker. Start > Search > type: cmd
When cmd appears above, right-click and choose "Run as Administrator". Provide the password/OK to the UAC prompt, and a command prompt opens. At the prompt, type: sfc/scannow [press Enter] [System File Checker will work]

If the System File Checker does not help, try a repair. Advent may have given you the option to repair Vista (not a system recovery!) system in the diagnostic menu. This menu of diagnosis is the same one where you can choose Safe Mode. Get there by repeatedly pressing the F8 key as the computer starts.  Or you can do a repair file Vista bootable DVD in this link:

http://NeoSmart.net/blog/2008/Windows-Vista-recovery-disc-download/

Note: All the Neosmart recovery disk downloads are torrent files. There is a good explanation of the torrent on the site Web of Neosmart files. You will need a torrent asmuTorrent client to get the files. Torrent client will download the .iso file with which to create the bootable DVD. You will need the third-party burning software such as Nero, Roxio or the free ImgBurn (www.imgburn.com ) to burn the .iso image image file, not in the form of data.

Repair Windows Vista by using the Startup Repair -http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/tutorial148.html

If the repair doesn't work, restore your computer as long as you plant any ADVENT method provided. If you don't know how, contact technical support ADVENT.

The temp folder is on a drive that is full or is inaccessible. Free space on the disk, or else make sure you have persimission of Scripture on the Temp folder.

  • Skype installation failed; code 1632 on new disc

Recently, one of my drives hard due is age, it was my drive "temp files" (which was not my main hard drive), after you remove the diskette and restart the Skype system did not work and there icon disappeared, since my main hard drive is small enough space (64 GB SSD) I do not bother to change the folder for temporary files and simply collapsed using the computer until I could get a new drive.

Two days ago I had a new hard drive (2 TB, I've implemented 2 divides each 1 to and 'K' and 'L' system volume) I put the folder for temporary files on 'K:\tmp' and 'K:\temp', I'm sure that these folders work like temp files folders, other programs can write and read without any problem.

    http://1.1M.YT/AQ4i5Ql.PNG

And the drive pretty much free space:

Anyway when trying to install Skype I get the error message 1632:

The Temp folder is on a drive that is full or inaccessible.

Free space on the drive or verify that you have permission write to the Temp folder.

I am sure that the drive/folder is accessible and is almost empty!

I thought maybe it was because of the old installation is corrupted, so I tried unistalling it first, but I got exactly the same error when you try to uninstall! Then I proceeded to uninstall manually (remove the files manually, temporary files Skype roaming/program files/etc and deleted each registry entry associated with Skype manually), after this new attempt but still the same.

-J' tried with the "SkypeSetup.exe", "SkypeSetupFull.exe", they both give me the same error 1632.

-J' I tried it with the "SkypeSetup.msi", it gives me Error 2755. http://2.1M.YT/ubP0z2.PNG

-J' googled tried many, everything what I found on the internet, but I still get the same.

-L'exe 'extract and replace' the installer msi is not an option since I did not all the files associated with Skype.

-J' tried to change the temporary files in "C:" folder and install but still the same.

    Some useful information:

    -Windows 7 (x 64)

-Hard drive: SSD 64 GB in total, 5 ~ GB of free space, system volume "C:".

-The hard drive temp file: 931 GB, 916 GB of free space, System total volume "K:" (new, total space 2 TB / two partitions)

Please help me I don't know what to do anymore!

Create a new folder on the partition of K.

Download Skype.exe and SkypeResources.dll of the OneDrive site files and place these files in the new folder.

When you perform on Vista 32 system update readiness tool - I get notice of low load failed with code KB973540 failing 80073712.  This error code description say "ERROR SXS CORRUPT COMPONENT STORE - the component store is in an unstable state".

  • PIXMA MX340 Windows 10 device descriptor request failed Code 43

Hello.  I recently bought a new computer to office 810 - QE HP Envy Phoenix yesterday.

The first thing I did was to finish the free update on a clean slate ("save anything") of Windows for Windows Professional 10, 64-bit edition 8.1.

The specifications of the system are:

    32 GB RAM DDR3
3 TB hard drive 7 200 RPM SATA
    Integrated Realtek / Beats Audio
Processor Intel Core i7-4790 3.6 GHz 4 hearts

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 745 4 GB DDR3 video card

My Canon Pixma MX 340 multifunction printer is not able to be recognized by this new system.  I installed the software and drivers for the printer, however, Device Manager keeps telling me that this printer is a "unknown USB device: device descriptor request failed, code 43"  I also tried to download the latest drivers directly from Canon specifically list of compatibility with Windows 10, which did not help me at all because the drivers are not able to find the printer during the installation.

I had originally this printer connected to one of the USB ports 3.0 at the back of the system, but I have also tried using this printer with the USB 2.0 ports, as my old system had USB 2.0.  No change, it still gives the same exact error.  I also tried this printer connected directly to the USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 ports on my computer without effect before.

I checked to see if this printer is "compatible" with 10 windows, and according to the compatibility of Microsoft website, it says that the Pixma MX340 should compatible.

Advice, tips or suggestions would be very appreciated.  Thank you.

    I FOUND THE PROBLEM.

I forgot that not only I used an extension USB cable, but I was also with a long USB cable and the USB extension as well.  This long USB cable was the culprit!

I just noticed this and decided to test it.  With the long USB cable, I get the error. But when going back to a standard length cable, the printer was correctly as a Canon MX340!

If I switch back to the long cable, it will be impossible to find.

However, I can still use the USB extension cable.  This cable does not cause a conflict any!

While I was trying to download the latest version of Any Video Converter I got the message: create process failed; code 740; the requested code requires a rise.  What does that mean and what should I do to be able to download this program?

    Hello

    (1) have you made changes before the start of this issue?

    (2) what website you are trying to download from?

    (3) when exactly you get the error message? While trying to download or install?

    (4) what browser do you use?

    (5) can you download and install other applications/programs successfully?

Create process Failed: Code 740 is an error which is caused by Windows being unable to load the permissions that your computer needs to function correctly.

Try disabling the user account control:

Enable or disable the User Account Control

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/turn-user-account-control-on-or-off

Note: User Account Control (UAC) can help you to prevent your computer from unauthorized changes. It works by asking permission when a task requires administrative rights, such as installing software or changing settings affecting other users. We do not recommend disable user account control. If you turn it off, you must reactivate as soon as possible.
