  • can not go beyond the screen "Welcome".

First of all, I am a beginner. When you try to open a session with my pass, I can't go beyond the ever-present "Welcome" message. I'm sure this has to do with updates and since I restored to my last AVG free antivirus from AVIRA, it seems to be to let me in. but I have restored many times, I'm lost! Windows vista service pack 2 has been updated the29th nov. then without success the next day; I loaded myself with success yesterday, to see this problem occurs again. How can I start to sort this please? I'm in France and having been told by a specialist of the useless that I just need to make sure that all updates are there. I read some of the queries on the updates... and I don't think it's as simple as that!

Free unlimited installation and compatibility support is available for Windows Vista, but only for Service Pack 2 (SP2). This support, initially planned to end on November 26, 2009, has been extended until February 26, 2010. Availability of support chat or messaging differs depending on your location. Some questions may require that more support for which he is advanced a charge.  Go to http://support.microsoft.com/oas/default.aspx?prid=13014&gprid=582034 & select appropriate category (i.e., download problem;) Installation problem; Problems after installing a service pack).

If you are referring to the welcome of IE8 screen, see http://www.winhelponline.com/blog/disable-ie8-tour-welcome-screen-runonce-all-users/ ... .but you should always get the Vista SP2 and all other updates installed.

Tip-online never, NEVER use system restore to 'Cancel' an update, Service Pack, or upgrade of IE!  Instead, uninstall the update, Service Pack, or the IE patch & reboot.  If that does not resolve the problem, then try System Restore.

  • Windows initializes to the Safe Mode screen. Unusable keyboard

Dell Inspiron E1505, Windows XP Home SP3 Ed.    Computer seemed to have some symptoms that I had not fully diagnosed a blocked key "t".  Trying to diagnose the problem, I wanted to start the computer in "safe" mode  When this screen came, my keyboard was unusable, so I couldn't choose how to start Windows (Safe Mode, Mode safe mode with networking, etc.).  The only thing I can't do is hard power the computer down and start again.  But now it always comes with the selection of Safe Mode screen.  The real problem is that the second 30 countdown clock never starts if Windows never starts.  The ability only I seem to have with the computer now is to push the power button to start and press the button to turn off it, but I get them all in the process is the selection of the Saft Mode screen and nothing else.  Please notify.  Thank you.

You cannot run windows without keyboard operation. If you think it works, (you can check if see the Num, scroll lock or caps lock lights) you can try to access your BIOS with it. If it works from there, (not too sure what to try out unless you have another keyboard, you can use to install the appropriate drivers for this) you could try to put in your windows CD and try installing 3rd party drivers. There was also an option in the recovery console to select a default keyboard layout. And if you can acess recovery console, you can then change the boot options to make normal startup or the clock is displayed.

(In the recovery console, first select your windows installation (default is 1) then it prompts for administrator password, if you have not just press on enter, then type help to see the commands and for more information on order type in the command and /?) Ex: boocfg /? and press ENTER. The main controls, you would need is fixboot and bootcfg.

I hope this helps a little,

    -Alex.

    Hi falowme57,

    ·         You get the error message?

    ·         What happens when you try to start in safe mode?

    ·         Have you made changes on the computer before this problem?

    Follow these methods.

Method 1: Disconnect all external devices such as printer, scanner, etc.

Method 2: Disable the option of automatic restart under advanced boot options.

  • I can not re - set the option full screen to normal.

I put the screen in full-screen, and now I can't re - set as a normal screen. How can I cancel my mistake?

Firefox uses the F11 function key to switch between normal and full screen. Or, if you drag the mouse all the way to the top of the screen and right click, you should get the option to exit full-screen. Do any of these work?

  • ios10 - can not go beyond the lock screen

I'm updating my iPhone 5SE yesterday.  It is already planted on the lock screen 3 times requiring a reset, that is to say press power and home for 10 seconds.  I've owned iPhones for many years and has never had to use the front reset feature.

My contact ID is active, and most of the time when I press the home button the phone automatically unlocks as usual.  However on occasion, when I press the button to unlock the phone at home I am presented with the numeric keypad to enter my access code.  The phone does not respond after that, completely frozen until I do a reset.

Try to reset all settings. No data is affected, but all parameters will have to be entered again. These parameters include, passwords for WiFi and footprint digital/Touch ID put in place. You will have to start all over again with the settings, but it's less work than the restoration of the device.

Settings > general > reset > reset all settings.

  • Please explain, "property of the disc is needed. I use a USB key without anything on it to lose, to try to 'repair the disc' in the Terminal and can not go beyond the question of ownership.

I read what I can find the performance of 'diskutil' in a Terminal. I could check my volume internal boot OK. When I mounted a USB without a title with nothing on them to lose and tried to run "diskutil repairVolume /Volumes/ Untitled" Terminal said ms 'ownership of the disc is necessary. " It left me speechless. I would be grateful some lights. I'm just trying to learn to do. Thank you.

If you cannot use the disk utility to fix it, run the following in the Terminal:

    sudo chown $UID/Volumes/Untitled /.

    or:

    sudo diskutil repairVolume/Volumes/Untitled /.

In both cases, you will be asked your password. Nothing appears in the field as you type it.
