Can't burn CD in Windows 7 on WMP

I had a problem for a while burning CDs on WMP.

I use Windows 7, and the reader/writer is a Samsung SH - S222A ATA. It is a new drive, because I thought that the problem could be with my old drive, but for the same problem of being both makes me think that the drive is not the problem.
I searched in various online forums and tried to uninstall the and reinstall the player, I am trying to record on the slowest speed, but without success.
I select the tracks and confirm there is enough space on the CD to save. Bar % then goes 0% burning burning 99% and ejects the disc (which is still blank).
I tried recording through Windows Explorer and also tried other burners, which I have now deleted from the computer, but without success with them either.
Can anyone help with this please?
Thank you very much

    Hello

I have problems with CD burning on my computer satellite phone. Had the laptop for a few months and have had no problems. However only found an extra software with the DVD drivers CD so downloaded it - big mistake!

I had to restore in settings a few weeks that I could not delete the programs. That s all is well now, but since I was unable to burn CDs in Windows Media Player. I click on "burn" and nothing happens, and the right side says CD has nothing on the subject (it s a blank CD).
All tried and checked my settings, etc, can't think of what it could be.

  • I can't burn a CD with Windows Media Player.

I can't burn a CD using Windows Media Player. I use a Sony CD - RW 700 MB and the latest version of Windows Media Player.  My computer recognizes it as a blank CD, I can create the playlist to burn and when I hit the button to burn, Windows goes through the motions of burn the disc, but when I re-read the disc, there's nothing there, it's always a blank disc.  The same thing happens with itunes.  I tried to use a blank Memorex CD - R disc, but my computer will not even recognize it.  I burned the disks before using Windows Media Player.    Help?

    Hello

Having too many CD/DVD programs can cause strange problems, especially if they're loading of parts of
themselves at the start because they will be competing for resources. This does not mean that this issue has been
caused by those, however, it's a possibility depending on which and how many you have installed.

You have disk problems as the CD/DVD is actually 4 discs in 1 case (CD & DVD burning and)
Playback of CD and DVD). So it is not unusual for parts from 1 or 2 to not work so that others do
    correctly.

Burning at low speed, or by using the master could help. A CD/DVD cleaner might help.

Brand of the CD or DVD drive can also be the problem. Low quality (cheap brands) are always problematic.

CD/DVDs have a tolerance + - and your can read/write on the edge outside these discs
tolerances. They may be delivered, but it is generally more economical to replace the disk.

  • How can I burn a DVD in Windows Media Center with the closed captioning information included?

I recorded a program in Windows media center.  When I read the program, it displays the closed captioning information.  If I burn a DVD program closed captioning information do not display during playback.  How can I burn the DVD to include captioning?

    Hello

    1. How do you try to burn the DVD? You have saved the DVD on the desktop (hard drive) or you burnt before you save it to a DVD?
    2. after are burning the DVDs in which application you trying to play?

I suspect that the captions are already burned in DVD, at this point in time we can cross check if the option is set to display captions.
To enable or disable subtitles for DVD
    a. on the Windows Media Center start screen, navigate to tasks, click settings, click DVD and then click subtitle.
    b. click the plus (+) and minus (-) buttons to select power off or when cut, and then click Save.

  • can't burn the CD to iTunes 9.1 on Windows 7

I can't burn a CD from my library of iTunes songs.  When I try, I get a dialog box 'the drive to record not found '.  I also received a message that says "registry settings used by iTunes for the importers pilots and burning CDs and DVDs or missing (However, I can import songs into iTunes from a CD, but just can't burn it to a CD.).  Please reinstall iTunes.  When I run the Diagnostics CD Drive Test iTunes it says it's 'no disk in the lower filters, no disc in the upper filters '.  I am able to burn CDs with Windows Media Player, so I think the problem is with iTunes and not my computer.

I re-downloaded iTunes several times, but this has not cured the problem. Now I would try to uninstall iTunes and then reinstalling iTunes... but I'm afraid that I might lose all my itunes Store purchased music if I uninstall itunes.  Am I wrong?

    Help!  Thank you.

    John Healey

    Hey John,

GEAR licenses this is CD/DVD recording 'engine' for Apple computers for use in iTunes for Windows. This recording 'engine' is the code of the software which adds disk recording cababilities to their product.

If you encounter registration problems, they can be linked to drivers GEAR being damaged or improperly installed. You can download the latest drivers of VEHICLES or better yet, make sure they are installed correctly. The following control for Windows x 86 guide/list will help you determine if they are installed correctly. In the first test, make sure that C:\windows\system32\gearaspi.dll is in the Windows\System32 directory. Simply copy and paste the driver in the Windows\system32 directory.

To check that all drivers of GEARAspi is installed correctly please check the following points:

On 32-bit systems, make sure that:

    * C:\windows\system32\gearaspi.dll is located in the Windows\System32 directory
    * GearAspiWDM.sys is located in the Windows\System32\Drivers directory

On 64 - bit systems, verify that:

    * C:\windows\system32\gearaspi.dll (32-bit version) is in the Window\SysWOW64 directory
    * GEARAspi64.dll (64-bit version) is located in the Windows\System32 directory
    * GearAspiWDM.sys (64-bit version) is located in the Windows\System32\Drivers directory

    Next:

In the Device Manager (Manager button on the Hardware tab in the Start Menu |) Settings | Control Panel | System) double click on DVD/CD-ROM drive drives entry. Double click on one of the listed CD/DVD recorders and go to the tab drivers press the Details of drivers and make sure GEARAspiWDM.sys is listed in the driver files and the digital signer is Microsoft Windows hardware compatibility. On the Details tab, select the upper filters of class of the pull down and make sure that GEARAspiWDM is listed.

In system information (type msinfo32.exe in Start Menu |) Run...) Verify that there is an entry called gearaspiwdm in software environment. System drivers. The status of the driver should be OK, and it should be started.
