File dllcache deleted. Need help to restore or replace!

Several months ago I foolishly deleted the folder dllcache my laptop because I was led to believe that he could get rid of a virus. My computer has been fine since. However, I now understand that this issue is very important for my computer and want to know if there is anyway I can restore or replace this file? Help, please.

Thank you very much

Windows 7 does not use the folder any longer.

This feature is now called Windows Resource Protection :

and the files are stored here: C:\Windows\winsxs\Backup

    Hello Kaushal,

Thanks for posting your question on the forum of the Microsoft community.

I would like to know some information about the problem so that we can help you better.

What exactly happened when you say, "this marking to start Skype then the laptop refreshed?

Thank you for details on the issue.

Once Windows gets updated, apps that have been installed from DVD and Internet sites are deleted. Get reinstalled the applications provided with your PC and applications that you have installed the Windows store. Windows puts a list of apps removed on your desktop after you refresh your PC.

    For reference:

You must reinstall any lost applications.

  • I need help to restore a file that I saved on a CD? Just the basics will help you.

I have a skeleton of my Microsoft Money file on my hard drive.  I have my information saved on a floppy disk, but also a CD.  Just, I don't know how to restore the file and can not seem to find it anywhere.  Thank you.

Copy files from a CD-ROM to a hard drive

To copy files from a CD-ROM to a hard disk:

    1. If you already have a folder on your hard disk to contain the files from your CD-ROM, note the full path to your folder (for example, C:\Pictures, D:\Images, and so on) and proceed to step 2. If you do not have a folder for your files, create a new folder:

      1. Click Start, point to programs, and then click Windows Explorer.
      2. Click on the hard drive to contain the new folder. On the file menu, point to new, and then click folder.
      3. Type a descriptive name for your folder and press ENTER. For example, if you want to copy the image files on your hard drive, you can name the folder images, Images or another descriptive name. Note the full path to your folder (for example, C:\Pictures, D:\Images, and so on) and then close Windows Explorer.
    2. Click Start, point to programs, and then click MS-DOS prompt.
    3. At the command prompt, navigate to the CD-ROM drive, and then navigate to the folder that contains the files to be copied. For example, if you want to copy the files in the folder of the drivers on the Windows 98 CD-ROM and your CD-ROM drive is drive D, type the following commands, pressing ENTER after each command:
      d:
      cd\
      Drivers CD
    4. Copy the files from the source to the CD folder in the folder on your hard drive. To continue the previous example, if your source folder is the folder of the drivers on the Windows 98 CD-ROM, your CD-ROM drive is drive D and you want to copy files to the C:\Drivers folder, type the following commands, pressing ENTER after each command:
      Copy *. * c:\drivers
      output

    Martha

    Hello

Programs need to be reinstalled from the original (CD, DVD or downloads) media

You can try the free version of this program for recover these files; no warranty if.

    http://www.Piriform.com/Recuva/download

You can find all, some or none.

"Recovery from damaged or formatted disks

Even if you have formatted a disk so that it looks blank, Recuva can still find your files on it.  More...»

    Also read this information:

"How to restore your personal files after performing an installation of Windows Vista or Windows 7"

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/932912/en-us

If that does not help not, you should try data recovery specialists, who are very expensive.

And the more you use your computer the least likely you are to recover anything.

    See you soon.

  • Start menu are become virgins and desktop icons & shortcuts are gone, need help to restore them if possible

I contracted a virus of webroot, and although it has not crashed my pc completely, he has managed to erase my Start menu and 'all' of my icons/shortcuts office. And most importantly, I lost the Internet Explorer icon, even if I always still have and can use it through other options like my email provider when I receive mail or messages which sucks because I'm use to just clicking on my provider internet icon and it takes me right to it. It's another thing my provieder icon went too which allows you to be on my desk, so I wonder if there is a way to restore my icons on the desktop & Start menu. When their shattered virus he left me with a black screen but my toolbar was still there, I also bought the Norton 360 and installed because it all happened due to my previous expired anti-virus software. Norton 360 has helped and supported & stored all my folders and files that have been analyzed and are good, but I have no idea on how to get them back where they belong. Help! I guess I need hooked on Phonics or something... lolol

  • Need help to restore my laptop to the original operating system is

I accidentally installed 3 different operating systems on my laptop on a hard drive external that I had saved them on because we have hacked a year ago on 2 of the 3 calculates so my son saved our systems for us in case it happened again. Now, I have all 3 on my laptop and need to restore my laptop to its original files. I have a mixture of things here on my PC and my husbands xp and my laptop vista. Help. I don't know if the other 2 systems can be saved on my external hard drive or not. I have my product key for 3 computers.

    You are welcome.

As you never have a drive to buy, this is how you should be able to reinstall Vista on a Toshiba using the recovery partition:

    https://www.CSD.Toshiba.com/cgi-bin/TAIS/support/JSP/bulletinDetail.jsp?soID=2737864&PF=true

You can see if it works but it is probably destroyed by installing these backup Images.

If it is not available, try and get the Toshiba recovery disks or borrow a DVD of Microsoft Vista according to my first answer.

  • Need help to restore the Satellite A-105

OK, so a while ago, my Toshiba Satellite A-105 has got a massive amount if virus, usually I am on top of that, but I dropped the ball. Anyway, when I tried to use the restore disc once the computer would be loaded the Toshiba screen, reboot and repeat, she did it, but somewhere along the line this file has been deleted and my recovery disks, usually on disc 2, will say "error" and a few other details, I know a few minutes trying records now , but it said something like the c drive, something must be reinstalled.

I tried to pick up on a torrent site, but my computer knowledge only goes so far.

I guess my whole system program went at this stage.
    Any ideas/suggestions?

    Hello buddy

To be honest, your ad is pretty confusing to me, and I don't understand what exactly you do.
The fact is that this recovery image (recovery disk) is created for the new installation of the OS.

If you have these disks/disk start Please install operating system as follows:
Turn on your portable computer, press F12 repeatedly
When the start menu is displayed open the optical disc drive and put 1 CD or DVD inside (I don't know what you exactly)
In the list of the start menu, select CD/DVD and press ENTER
Follow the menu on the screen

Installation of recovery has nothing to do with the data saved on the HARD drive and before installation of the OS starts any HARD drive will be formatted and all data saved on the HARD drive will be erased.
Installation of recovery is not based on the data saved on the HARD drive and nothing should be reinstalled.

  • Need help to restore W7 64-bit Home Premium on my Gateway desktop computer

I lost my system due to a message from last hal.dll kills 7/5. After trying for several days, I finally realized that my 2nd HD has been screwing them to the top of my boot sequence, I tried to boot from an old file WindowsXP on the 2nd HD Disconnected the HD and tried to do a clean install using a neighbours installation disc that he had got the Geek Squad for his laptop Gateway.

It seemed that everything worked well until the disc 3 tent install Dritek load Manager. The computer was blinking but the green progress bar woild not move forward. After about an hour, I have finished the work.

  • Accidentally ran the the pc recovery... out some files... need help to recover files... Thank you

Accidentally ran the recovery of the pc... it has released a few files, such as photos, music, documents... ran the system restore, but it will not return after the time I did the recovery... of suggestions on how to recover these files? Thank you

If you click the box in the system restore that says "show restore points more" and still can not go back and recover your files, you can try your luck with some programs 'undelete' out there.  You can find a bunch of them at http://www.download.com .

I would say the lesson here is that it's cheap insurance to get an external hard drive and back up your important data and possibly your system as well.  Heck, you can buy a 16 GB flash drive and do a copy and paste for many things.  A much better solution is to buy an inexpensive external hard drive and a good program of commercial backup (I use Norton Ghost, but there are thousands of others) and set it to make regular backups.  It is the best insurance you can buy.

I hope this helps.  Good luck.
