And after searching for the ndo son Oracle documentation, it seems that I can install database 11g on my local pc and then have a dbconsole (not the grid control). Please confirm that this dbconsole only points to the specific database that is installed on the same pc, and it cannot be used to manage remotely located 10 or 11 g databases. I'm still in the planning stages for the installation of grid control and want to use the more small enterprise manager - java control. But even once, there no such Oracle 11 g application now?   Confirmed. The DB Console is linked to an ORACLE_HOME one HOST for a single INSTANCE. The HOST and the INSTANCE are used in the directory naming (of all stupidity) and the content of the configuration file under the ORACLE_HOME.
