Can't print to network printer

D5460 due USB connected to the router of Office XP(SP-3). Laptop computer on the wireless network with Windows 7 can see printer but will not print to it. Ran P & Scan Dr. He said some missing driver files and to uninstall it and reinstall.  Who did the last pilot D5460 for XP, but no help.

Sorry for the delay, I missed your reply 2 weeks ago...

A few things to check: you have an 32-bit or the 64 bit version of Windows 7?  You have the Home or Pro/Ultimate version?  If this is the 64-bit version, and then install XP drivers could cause a problem.

If you have the pro version, or ultimate, you can click Start, type print management in the search programs and files.  When the print management opens click Action, gerer manage drivers, then select all drivers series D5400, right click and select 'remove the driver package.

If you have the version Home of Windows then management of the printer is not available.  In this case, try the following: load the XP driver in the Windows 7 machine drive, open Explorer and navigate to the directory util\ccc on the CD. In this directory, there is a series of commands, uninstall_L1.bat by uninstall_L4.bat files.  Run the first three of them to clean up the previous installation, then restart your machine.

After removing the bad driver then install the downloaded Windows 7 driver as described in my previous post above.  Although the printer on the network, that port is defined as a local port, this is an oddity, but it works.

  • Can't print on network Ethernet on 6520 HP all-in-one

All computers are running windows 8.1. My question or the question is the following: before you buy a wireless router Mediabridge, wireless-n 300 mps broadband router, I had a router Zyxtel wireless access point. I'm Ethernet and wireless. Before the Mediabridge I want network printing on my HP printer both wireless (iPhone) and on an Ethernet network (PC and laptop).

There is an improvement in printing wireless on an iPhone. I can't print my Ethernet NETWORK any longer. I have to unplug my laptop before printing before that my laptop can see the printer online. With my second PC in another room, I am unable to print via Ethernet network. The printers are installed, drivers and others, but as with the laptop, I have to disconnect the Ethernet cable to print.

My error messages are showing that the printer cannot be found or or my control panel printing devices display offline. If I unplug my laptop I can see the printers online. But I don't want to have to take out a second PC in another room to print.

Can you offer any suggestions. Should I connect my printer directly to the Mediabridge wireless router?

    Cannot print wireless

I can't print due to the "wireless network connection" doesn't have a valid IP address.  How can I fix this problem myself (an absolute non-techie)?

    Hello

-Did you change your computer, after which the question began?
-Check if you are connected to the network?

The question seems more like a network connection problem. I would like you to do the following.

Method 1: run the Network Troubleshooter utility and see if the problem persists.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/using-the-network-troubleshooter-in-Windows-7

Method 2: release and renew the IP (Internet Protocol) address and see if the problem persists.

has. click Start. Type cmd in the search box and press ENTER.
    b. at the command prompt, type the following command and press ENTER:
ipconfig/all (there is a space between ipconfig and /)
The command ipconfig/all command displays for all your network adapters, TCP/IP in Windows settings.

If your IP address of your Local network connection is 0.0.0.0 or 169.x.x.x (where x is a number any), then your computer is not getting an IP address from the router.
If this is the case, try this:
    ·        enough ipconfig at the command prompt and press ENTER
    ·        ipconfig / renew in the command prompt and press ENTER

    Method 3:

  • Can't print on network printers after Microsoft Update

I have 3 other computer Windows XP SP3, which, after having done the automatic updates in the last 4 days. (Week of (13/09/2010) have lost the ability to print on network printers.  Computers are different subnets, using different brands of printers.  In any printer IP can be crazy and network connections are good.

Have deleted updates using Add / Remove programs in Control Panel.  Have deleted the printers and ports and re-installed, changed the settings of the printer to print directly, restarted the printer-queue service.  All have failed to correct the problem.  What Miss me?

I found the solution to my computers.  Apparently, there was an interaction between Windows Update and McAfee in which McAfee ended up with a list of blocked for the server application entry of spooling print:

The application name = Spooler SubSystem App
    Application = C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\SPOOLSV path. EXE

Once I changed the permissions to "Allow" for this application, I was able to print directly to the printer again.

  • After installation, my computer does not detect my Laserjet 1536dbf network and I can't print

I installed my printer on my home network. Now, my computer can not detect so I can't print.

I noticed that the printer indicates a different IP address that the router assigns to him and which is visible on the router configuration Web page. Reset of the printer and my router has no effect.

I had to reset my router a few days due to a failure in broadband. Could be the cause of the problem?

It turns out that reset the router after the failure in broadband, the other day off the ethernet port to which the printer is conncected. It's strange because the previous resets did not do that.

  • I can't print on my printer HP 3050 J611g.

I can't print documents on the printer HP 3050 has J611g from my laptop (windows 7, 32 bit). We use a wireless network, and we can print from all other devices. When I enter the IP address of the printer in my browser, the computer can see the printer and I can print the Configuration Page from HP network without problems. However, when you give a print command in any document, documents are in the print queue and print ever. I downloaded the application of scanning HP doctor, but he is blocked and cannot diagnose the problem. I saw many post on this forum, but none seems to be applicable to this question.

Hello JPL67and welcome to the Forums of HP, I hope you enjoy your experience!

I see that you have problems printing.  I would like to help.

I would recommend downloading it and using the HP print and Scan doctor.

If this does not resolve the issue, I would say uninstalling the software of the printer.

Once it is uninstalled, I suggest you put your system in clean boot mode in the configuration of Microsoft.  You can do this by following this document: How to perform a clean boot in Windows.

Once the computer is in clean boot mode, I would like to reinstall the HP printer install wizard for Windows.

Good luck and please let me know the results of your troubleshooting operations. Thanks for posting on the HP Forums!

  • How can I print my Microsoft Surface running Windows 8 RT?

How can I print my Microsoft Surface running Windows 8 RT?

Most new wireless printers have an impression of the Microsoft Surface with Windows 8 RT problem.  Everything you need to make these printers is tell them to print and they will.  Older wireless, Ethernet and USB printers should not have driver officially supported in Windows 8 RT, but there is a way to get the printer working.  There are different requirements depending on how the printer is connected to the Surface.

Note: All the steps below are only for other HP ink Jet, DeskJet, PhotoSmart and OfficeJet printers.  These steps are not for Laserjet printers or printers from other manufacturers.  These steps may not work for all inkjet printers.  If these steps do not work, try different drivers in the list until you find the one that works (you'll understand what I mean once you follow the steps below).  If none of the drivers work, your printer does not work with the Surface.

For (Ethernet or wireless) network printers, all you need is Surface keyboard or a USB keyboard to connect to the Surface.  It is simply what you have to type more easy to type.  You will also need to have the Surface and the printer connected to the same network.

    1. From the right edge, drag your finger to the left on the screen Surface to appear charms bar.
    2. Press search.
    3. Under the search box, tap Settings.
    4. In the search box, type devices and printers.
    5. Press devices and printers.
    6. Contact add a printer.
    7. Tap "my printer is not listed.
    8. Select the TCP/IP option and then press Next.
    9. Enter the IP address of the printer and press Next.  Note: You can get this from the network printer, or list DHCP in your router Configuration Page.
    10. The Surface will locate the printer and try to install it.  Installation fails, and the Surface will be asked what you want to do, look on the internet for the driver, or manually install the driver.  Choose to install the driver yourself.
    11. Press 'I want to choose from a list of drivers.
    12. If no driver is in the list, make sure that the box next to 'Show compatible drivers' is not checked.
    13. Choose HP in the production list.
    14. Choose driver DeskJet PCL 3 class in the list of drivers.  If this driver does not work, try using the Photosmart PCL3 driver, or the driver Officejet PCL 3.  (Thanks JonW for letting me know about these other alternates.) )
    15. Press Next.
    16. Tap Finish.
    17. Test print.

For USB connected printers, need you a USB cable to connect the printer to the computer.

    1. Connect the printer to the computer via USB.
    2. Windows will try to find the drivers but will not be able to.
    3. Here Windows may ask you if you want to choose the driver to install.  If she go to step 14 below.
    4. From the right edge, drag your finger to the left on the screen Surface to appear charms bar.
    5. Press search.
    6. Under the search box, tap Settings.
    7. In the search box, type Device Manager.
    8. Press Device Manager.
    9. Tap view and select Show Hidden.
    10. Search for the printer in Device Manager.  It should be in the other devices section with a yellow warning next to her sign.
    11. Select the printer in the list.
    12. Press Action.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8600 Plus: now really can not print from Officejet Pro 8600 Plus

It is my second attempt to get help.  First aid made it worse.  I had been unable to print from my printer wireless to my MacBook Pro, iPad, or iPhone.  After 20 hours I managed to do print from a cable (it sees my network but none of my devices can see).  So I posted here asking for help and was told to uninstall the software, repair disk permissions, and then reinstall the software.  But when I downloaded the new software that my computer would not install it because it says it's for Mac system 10.7 or less and I 10.10.  So now I can't print anything at all.  I need this job.  Please help me to fix it for real.  I can't take this more.

In fact, HP support did not help at all. I finally fixed it myself after a lot of trial and error. The answer was that the printer software was incompatible with the software on my Mac. I removed Rowmote and it started working again. Weird, Rowmote had not been a problem before, but it can be updated. I was told there was new software of the printer of February, but when I went to the driver page with the link that the person a condition he had as the old one. So if he is really a software it should be provided to users. Thank you, they were attentive, though, and I received several phone calls.
