  This laser model was for XP. There is limited support driver for WIN7.

  Just click on the link, select either the WIN7 32-bit or 64-bit and read the support documents to understand how to install it.

  I can't print from CS5 for several weeks now.

  I tried everything I found on the forum: upgrade printer drivers (I have two printers), removed the printer from the computer and reinstalled, change the name of the printers, updated Photoshop (it was already uptodate).  I can print from any other software without any problems.

  Sometimes, it let me print a copy of a file for no apparent reason and then back to the drawing board.

  I'm on Windows XP (lovely all I could on that too).

  I have two samsung CLP-315 printers and an Epson Stylus c68 that work perfectly with other software. I have to convert my files to jpg format and then print with another software... so I can't forget about the color management!

  Certainly, the article you linked to lists the first things that everyone here would tell you to try. Is there a reason you stopped after only the first two? Then there are the two that I would try; reset your preferences and, by default, uninstall and then reinstall the priner on this computer.

  Unfortunately, it is not possible to print using the black and white, while one of the ink cartridges are empty.

  I doubt that there is no information for this because inkjet printers work differently then laser where they use a percentage of coverage for compiles the approximate pages toner. With Designjet printers there are many variables outside coverage that would be very difficult calculations. You will be dealing with page sizes and even with normal printing or graphic images line densities will have much to different amounts of ink laid according to the original plot, type of paper used, etc.

  Do I understand correctly that you try to print from an application Adobe to a Canon Pixma? What application you use, and you are on Mac OS or Windows? Are you able to print to that you print from other applications (not Adobe)?

  In general, as long as you have the printer set up with the right connection and the printer driver, you should be able to print from applications, including those from Adobe.

  I suspect that you may be running in trouble with the printer, so please let us know if you have a specific problem with an Adobe application, and we will try to get it sorted.

  I feel that this printer has not been replaced by the instant the ink Department. That or someone left dropped the ball.

  Instant ink cartridges are "locked" to the printer they are first installed in and may not be used for other printers. Who told you to swap the ink has made a mistake. In addition, your instant ink related to the old printer account must have been canceled. You should have been asked to contact the team of instant ink in order to register the replacement printer.

  I was ordered to create my friends wedding invitations.  I've been on this site in wanting to try InDesign but then saw the new applications that seem to have a lot of features.  I don't have a mac, just an ipad but because I'm so new to the idea of all this, I can't determine if these applications work for me.  If anyone can help?

  I'd certainly keep with InDesign for the creation of print media. It is a really great program specifically designed to work with the page layouts and print media.

  TouchApps you can get are great, but not on par with InDesign, especially for what you're trying to do. All TouchApps are listed and briefly described here: http://www.adobe.com/products/touchapps.edu.html

  Photoshop Touch and Collage have the functionality to incorperate text, photos and custom design elements. But they are time limited in your ability to refine and develop a layout - an area where InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator excellent.

  Proto is designed to create web diagrams and ideas is used for drawing vector, so neither could well meet your needs.

  In short, go with InDesign. It is a very strong application intended for developers of printing. You can really go wrong, you must also focus on Photoshop or Illustrator personality for the more visual aspects of your invitations, like backgrounds, illustrations, etc.
