Can't remove Proxy servers in Internet Explorer

I have a laptop HP with Vista.  Somehow in internet explore/tools/options/connections/LAN settings use server proxy has been verified and I'm unable to uncheck (allows me to turn off the box, but the box is checked, once again as soon as I return to the screen).  I also went in the registry for the current user and delete the entry, but it always comes back.  I can change some entries in the area of the registry, but not the entries "proxyServer" and "proxyenable".

Is there something else I need to change in order to get the IE proxy server?

Thank you.  I'll run this program to ensure that all of the malware is gone.   I was able to get finally the machine works correctly.  I search the Web all day yesterday and I saw two suggestions that worked.  I uninstalled then reinstalled Flash and then re-registers Jscript.dll.  After you have done these two things, everything in IE started working correctly.

I also put my niece warned on by clicking on the pop-up windows.

  • All they can do is go on the Internet Explore. So my question is how to get features of office for a guest user?

Hi, I want to let my friend use my laptop and I need to set up a guest account. The problem is that when I did it, we cannot access Office so that the person cannot create any word or excel files, etc. All they can do is go on the Internet Explore. So my question is how to get features of office for a guest user?

Don't add a guest account, add another standard user if you want another user to access programs as well.

  • up in the dropdown menu that I want to be able to remove some sites as internet explore - frustrated

at the top of the address in the menu bar dropdown I see pages I visited. I like to keep them to a shortlist of 10 of my most visited sites which means I want to DELETE some list regularly as in internet explore. but there is no red "x" to delete anything, so I'm stuck with the sound that are there. Please don't insult me by sending me a link totally irrelavent as microsoft would

Follow these steps to delete data saved in a drop-down list:

    1. Select an entry in the drop-down list
    2. Press the DELETE key (on a Mac: shift + delete) to remove it.

Note that elements that have a star highlighted are favourites and you need to remove the bookmark.

Items that you have entered or copied into the address bar can be difficult to remove.

If you can't remove an entry, then you can check for problems with the database places.sqlite file in the Firefox profile folder.

  • can't get Outlook express to internet explore

Original title: How do you clean cache in windows xp? I can't get from outlook express to internet explore when you click on the highlighted area more?

It is to know how to clear your cache!

GO to Control Panel, Internet Options, general tab, click on remove, click on clear history. At the same time click on delete files and delete forms, you have probably too many anyway and this could cause other problems. Click Close. Now next to remove click settings and lower your disk space 50 MB and days for which these pages are kept to 2 or 3. Click OK. Now, click on the Advanced tab, scroll to the empty Temporary Internet Files folder when the browser is closed and to put a check in the box, click OK.

These instructions are for Internet Explorer 7. Internet Explorer 8 Options are similar.

  • Firefox can't print wesites correctly, but Internet Explorer can

The only other sites I can print with firefox are PDFs. All other Web sites try to print the page into small pieces. For example this page (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Print) in Internet Explorer prints a page. In firefox this page prints 11 pages with small pieces of the page on each of them. I have home and do print many pages each day. I'm tired of spending IE to print. Is there a solution to this problem?

  • Can I download Firefox and keep Internet Explorer as my default browser?

I'm being invited to install Firefox to use the site to MobileMe with my IPAD. Before I download, I want to know if I can KEEP Internet Explorer as my default browser. I'm NOT very good with my computer and so it would be difficult to fix technical challenges.

Yes, you can keep IE as default browser when installing Firefox, simply answer NO when Firefox asks you if you want to set as the default browser.

First - a tip - get hardware drivers with hardware manufacturers - not Microsoft.

Get SP2 (manually) and save it to your desktop. (There's a link here.) [You are a COMPUTER professional for now.]

    Install it.

Then restart at least a couple of times for a few minutes between each restart.

Get SP3 (manually) and save it to your desktop. (There's a link here.) [You are a COMPUTER professional for now.]

    Install it.

Then restart at least a couple of times for a few minutes between each restart.

Download at least Internet Explorer 7 (if it is not Internet Explorer 8).

    Install it.

    Reset.

Now, try to get the updates through the normal web page (http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com/) and see how much more you can get (100 +) and keep checking until you no longer have.

  • You can have multiple browsers? as internet explore and mozilla firefox?

Sometimes I wonder "do you want to be your default browser to internet explore.» I say still no. is there a time where I should use internet explore instead of Mozilla Firefox? am totally confused. I am not computer, so need to know in terms of "laymen" s, please. Thank you

A browser is software that allows you to 'see' the Internet. Yes, you can have several browsers installed and it's actually a good thing because if you think you want one browser over another. It is also good for troubleshooting because if you have questions related to the Internet, you can run the other browser to see if the problem is specific to the browser or a more general problem of Windows.

Personally, I prefer Firefox over Internet Explorer but * you * should be the one to decide what he * you * like. Here are links to various browsers, you can download and install to try:

    Firefox
    Google Chrome
    Safari
    Opera

I tried to download many sites and it keeps stuck in download mode or I get the message that blocks windows. I've never had this problem before. Help, please

Yes: click on the pub > firefox > releases > 40.0.2 > win32, click the folder for your language, and then select the 40.0.2.exe Firefox configuration file (not "Stub").

  • I converted a WMV to SWF format and I can't hear the sound in Internet Explorer 8, he plays very well in other software.

I converted a WMV to SWF format, but I do not see the video. I hear no audio in INTERNET EXPLORER 8. The audio works fine in other software.

    Hello

    (1) you are streaming the videos on Windows Media Player online or just play them online?

    (2) have you installed and updated plugins like Adobe?

I suggest that you try the methods below to resolve this issue.

Check whether the sound is enabled in Internet Explorer:

    a. open Internet Explorer.

    i. click on tools and then click Internet Options.

    (b) switch to the "Advanced" tab

    c. scroll down to the 'Multimédia' heading

    d. make sure that "Play sounds in web pages" is checked. Click on 'ok '. Restart Internet Explorer.

Let us know if that helps.

I upgraded to IE 9, but need version 8 for a website that I use for school. Is it possible to have two different versions, downloaded on Windows Vista? Like having Mozilla and Internet Explorer, or IE 9 replaced so will I download IE 8?

You do not download IE8 to replace IE9. Use the procedure here to return to IE8:

There are a few hacks to run multiple versions of IE, like this: http://utilu.com/IECollection/

    But there no IE9 yet.

  • How can I remove multimedia center files in Explorer?

How can I delete several files of tv media center recorded with vista Explorer?

    Hello

When you need is no longer a file, you can remove it from your computer to save space and prevent the get cluttered with unnecessary files from your computer. To delete a file, open the folder or library that contains the file, then select the file. Press DELETE on your keyboard and then in the dialog box remove the file, click Yes.

When you delete a file, it is stored in the Recycle Bin. Think of the basket as a safety net that allows you to recover files or folders you may have accidentally deleted. Sometimes, you must empty the trash to retrieve all the disk space used by your unwanted files.

To permanently delete a file, select a file, press SHIFT and delete together. Click Yes in the dialog box to confirm the delete.
