My computer sends this code when starting up, please send fix. I have to open in safe mode, here is code I get 0xC004D401

After I get this message the computer just hangs and then after that I opened in safe mode and shut down I am able to use my computer.

You receive the error code shows something has changed with the Validation of your Windows, maybe you tried to install an antivirus product is not compatible with the operating system. Consider reposting your question in one of the forums below.

    Looks like you have something installed on your computer called Foxit. It is a program to read the .pdf files running on this "safe reading mode" to protect themselves against suspicious websites.

    Problem is, I guess it can work as well, sometimes. If you do a search on your computer for Foxit, you should be able to open certain preferences to turn off.

    Run the SFC/scannow command. This will check and repair if necessary all of the critical Windows system files.

    Click on start / all programs/accessories then
    Right-click on the command prompt option and select "Run as Administrator".
    (or "Safe Mode" open a command prompt)

    OK, I got the boot with command prompt and all that. But as soon as it starts to load I have black screen. Also with system recovery I get black screen, all the same when you do the ChkDsk... black screen 10%. :(

    Before performing the steps below, please make sure that your HARD drive is shaped using the following application by checking the reallocated sector Count attribute
    Do you have your Windows DVD? Please try to run System Recovery for your Windows DVD and check if the problem persists. You can also try to re - install your windows, if you continue to receive such errors.

    We put an adapter on the hard drive, it is difficult to see just looks like it's all a part, you should be able to just pull the part plastic on the pins and that will let you plug your new case, I've experienced the same thing about 3 years ago, it really seems that it's just one piece... It should first come fairly easily, simply pull... Please let me know if it works for you

    I don't have a password reset disk and that you do not have access to the windows Start button.

    There is another account that is not shown as an option when starting in safe mode?  It should not be.  Are you talking about the master admin account?  Is it permits?

    FWIW, if the user that is used in safe mode is an administrator, it can be used to change user to other users accounts.  If this isn't the case, please specify the problem.

    Reinstall El Capitan without erasing the drive

    Make sure that you have a current backup before continuing.

    HD recovery start:

    Restart the computer after the ring, press in and hold the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen to appear.

    Repair

    When the recovery menu appears, select disk utility and press the continue button. Disk utility charges and select Macintosh HD entry indented from the list on the left.  Click the first aid tab in the toolbar... If disk utility reports any errors that have been corrected, then re-run first aid until no errors are reported. Wait until the operation is complete, then quit disk utility and return to the main menu. Select restart from the Apple menu.

    Reinstall OS X: Select reinstall OS X and click on the continue button.

    Note : You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest to use Ethernet if possible because it's three times faster than Wi - Fi and more reliable.

  • Vista starts, the Startup Repair tool works for hours, even in Safe Mode

    In the course of the night, desktop went south.  Screen showing the morning ran Srartup repair.  Ran for hours with no result.  Stop computer and started several times, same thing.  Stop down and when started again, got in the Mode without failure.  He went into the Startup Repair again, ran for hours yet. no results.   Help, please.
