Why I can't access my Hotmail on Internet Explorer?

At about 13:45 Pacific time, I clicked on Internet Explorer which is my homepage at hotmail.com and click on it to open my Inbox - a message came stating that Microsoft was not able to do so - fix this problem ASAP - thanks.

I can't access my hotmail account among some other sites since the upgrade to 3.6.8 on my macbook. I get the following message: "the proxy server refuses connections. Firefox is configured to use a proxy server refusing connections. Check the proxy settings to make sure they are correct. Contact your network administrator to make sure that the proxy server is running. "I can not even find the proxy settings more.

Set your settings to connect to the 'No proxy', if you are not using a proxy.

Firefox 3.6.6 added a new preference for connection settings, use proxy Panel"system settings", and the default value is the point. " This new preference does not affect most users, because they probably do not have a proxy set in place in their operating system. Therefore, most users should use the setting "no proxy".

  • What is "c: / program hidden folder files/Windows apps and why I can't access it?"

    Hey there,

Make certain to play and ran through the hidden folder mentioned in the title. There is one account of course on our Surface, full administrator access and I was wondering what it is and why I can't access it. When I try to access the folder, I get the following:

"You don't have currently not allowed access to this folder. Click on continue permanent access to this folder. »

Then, like a good boy, I click on continue and...

"You have been denied permission to access this folder."

But wait... I can click on a link hyper to the Security tab, Ok...

"You must have read permissions to view the properties of this object. Click Advanced to continue. »

    Don't panic!

"You must have read permissions to view the properties of this object. Click on continue retrying with administrative permissions. »

    Okey Dokey!

Takes me of course to features advanced security where it is said the owner of the folder is "Trusted Installer" and "directors" shows correctly with the settings read and execute access to this folder, subfolders and files.

Can someone please clarify what this file is for and why there is a folder on my RT Surface that I can't access?

    Thanks for reading,

    To do this >

Open CMD as mentioned above write this >

    TAKEOWN /F "C:\Program Files\WindowsApps" r d Y

(Whit quote... better to copy paste... only he)

that way, you'll see hundreds >

Success: the file (or folder): XXX blah blah blah

    and wait, it stops.

    then again type this >

    ICACLS "C:\Program Files\WindowsApps" / grant administrators: F/t

You may see nothing... a moment... then... .boooooom :D

After that, you will see something like: the files successfully treated XXXXX; Treatment failure 0 files

If its exactly like this "failed processing 0 files" then your done good... and go have fun

Thanks to Lydia Rohit... I just corrected the mistake on his part (cuz paths of Pentecost of spaces need quotes)

(After having done all that, you cannot get change permissions... fix too copy the file in the other place, modify, delete the first file and then add your file modified in the folder)

  • I can't access what whether the internet associated with such sites as Web and other programs which require an internet connection.

    Original title: Weird problem.

My computer says it is connected to the network and the network is connected to the internet, but I can't access what whether the internet associated with such sites as Web and other programs which require an internet connection. I have reset the router and the computer many times and the problem is still there. Any ideas on how to solve this problem?

Very strange that this issue has been raised suddenly and even system restore back the working time is not solve it.  At this point, I suspect something mischievous because restoration of return must be a guaranteed fix.  If it worked on Friday, it should work if restore you backup on Friday.

I ask you to check if your network card has got an update which could have features broke, but that can't be the problem because the restoration of return would be handed over the old version.

Indeed, using restore in a working time essentially says that this isn't a configuration problem, because configuration is in a known-to-be-working state (because he worked at the restored time).

I would therefore start at this stage, verification of hardware, antenna, connections, equipment devices.

  • My pc denies me access to everything except internet explore.

Im logged as administrator, but my pc denies me access to everything except internet explore. Cannot access files or open files. Why is this happening?

    Hello
    • How long you have been facing this problem?
    • What were the changes made before the problem occurred?
You can use the following methods that can help you solve your problem:
    Method 1:
I suggest you run that program you as an administrator by right-clicking the program icon.
    Method 2:
If this does not work, create a new user account and check. If it works in a new user account, then probably your user account have been damaged and would need a fix.
    Now search for the question.
Follow the link provided below to fix the damaged user profile.

I also deleted Firefox my firewall and then added it back as suggested by Firefox. I have no problem accessing the site using Internet Explorer.

HTTPS Everywhere makes it easy for you to move site to a secure connection. It's something that you can yourself on the sites where you are displaying sensitive information, so it automates this for you, but I think that it is not essential.

If you love the comfort, the extension has a function to create your own rules, as described on https://www.eff.org/https-everywhere/rulesets. It sounds a little complicated...

Hi, I want to let my friend use my laptop and I need to set up a guest account. The problem is that when I did it, we cannot access Office so that the person cannot create any word or excel files, etc. All they can do is go on the Internet Explore. So my question is how to get features of office for a guest user?

Don't add a guest account, add another standard user if you want another user to access programs as well.

I'm using XPSP3.  I tried to disable all the indexing in Windows search and even that doesn't stop Internet Explorer indexing feeds and history.   All I want the index is My Documents.  How can I keep Windows Search indexing Internet Explorer feeds and history?

    Hi Bbran,

from Internet Explorer, click Tools and then click Internet Options. On the content tab, in the AutoComplete section, click settings.

    b. in the AutoComplete Settings dialog box, uncheck the historic boxes of navigation and feed the completion options, you want to use.

Restart the computer and check if its indexed.

  • I can't access my hotmail account.

Yesterday, I tried to connect to my hotmail as usual account (acct is * address email is removed from the privacy *). However, he disliked the password that I used, although I have not changed my password in the month. For this reason, Microsoft has apparently blocked my account. It is URGENT that I access my hotmail account as this is the only method I have the receipt of the electronic notification due bills such as mortgage loans and utilities. E-mails also have password for other major Web sites information.

I submitted to a process of recovery, but so far I still can't access my account and it has been more than 24 hours. After Microsoft's answer, I submitted additional information to verify my identity, but still no answer. Please send me an email to my alternate e-mail address * address email is removed from the privacy * to let me know what additional information is needed to have access to my above email account.
    Sincerely, Barry
