Can't wait to upgrade to windows 10
Hello
I am running windows 7 Home Premium, I can't wait to upgrade to Windows 10.
I have the Windows 10 Home *. Extract ISO file of the *.esd of reserved windows file 10 upgrade from another laptop.
My question is, if I use only *. ISO file to improve my windows my OS will remain authentic?
Prompt response will be appreciated.
Thanks in advance
Hey,.
As you are using windows 7 Home Edition premium, you are eligible for a free upgrade to windows 10 home.
If you upgrade to another edition of windows 10 like pro, it will ask for a product key.
So be sure that the ISO you have is Windows at home, 10 otherwise you will end up by activation issues.
Your operating system will remain authentic as I said, if you upgrade to windows 10 home.

Hello
You are unable to update or upgrade Vista 32 bit to 64 bit of Vista.
32-bit to 64-bit, or 64 bit to 32 bit is done by a new installation using a full version of the operating system.
32-bit and 64-bit are different operating systems.

I have an OEM of Windows Vista version on a dying computer. Can I buy the upgrade for Windows 8 and install it on the new PC, I'm building? The upgrade, is published at the same time as I'm rebuilding my PC. I'm just looking to replace my OS. I need Vista.
Hello
OEM license is tied to the first machine that is installed on the OEM license dies when this machine dies.
An OEM license is not transferable.
And you need a legal edition of Windows, enabled for upgrade.
There is no use, you buy a license upgrade of Windows 8 by itself as you have to upgrade anything of in the new computer, you build...
You can buy a license of Windows 8 when it comes out later this year.
See you soon.

Recently, my hard drive crashed and could be damaged, because I can not install anything on this subject.
I still have the CD of Windows XP Professional that has been used to upgrade to Windows 7.So, if I buy a new hard drive and install XP first and then upgrade to windows 7. I'll be able toto do this without side windows activation problems.Or do I have to buy a new drive for windows?PS: Is it important that it is the version of Windows 7 professional student discount?Thank you.If your computer comes with a qualifying previous license such as Windows Vista or Windows XP and the certificate of authenticity is still attached to the machine in good condition, then the COST is reason enough to represent the compliance to the software license agreement. No previous required software installation, which means you can do a clean install with Windows 7 Upgrade disk.
How to do a clean install with upgrade disc:
Boot from the Windows 7 DVD
Click Install now
Accept the license agreement
When the option is displayed to select a type of installation, click (Custom advanced)
Click on drive Options
Select the disc/s click on Delete
Click new
Click on apply
Click OK
Click Format, and then click next to proceed with the installation
Skip entering your product key Windows 7 and complete the installation.
When you reach the desktop, click Start, right-click on computer
Click on properties
Scroll down to the Windows Activation
Click the link x days before activation.
Click on the link that says: "show me other ways to activate.
Enter the product key
Click next
Select the Activation of the phone
Click Next when you enter your key page
Select your country
Click Next, call the number listed
Be sure to explain your situation to the Appeals Officer.
Provide the installation generated when ID requested by the call agent
They give a confirmation ID in return, enter it
Click next to complete the activation.
However, the requirements for the media upgrade is that you have an operating system already eligible such as Windows XP or Vista installed to use it. Since the Windows 7 end user license agreement.
15 UPDATES. To use upgrade software, you must first be licensed for the software that is eligible for the upgrade. After the upgrade, this agreement takes the place of the agreement for the software that you upgraded. After upgrade, you can no longer use the software that you upgraded.
So, if you are always denied, you will just have to reinstall Windows XP or Vista and let it do the verification of eligibility.

I have vista Home premium, but does not start it tells me to put my disk installation and repair process. can I buy windows7 upgrade or should I buy the full version, I'm not going to do...? I got my pc checked thourghly and everything is running perfectPlease use the Vista system repair and recovery forum to fix your departure upward.
http://answers.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/Forum/windows_vista-system?page=1&tab=all
Yes, as long as Vista is still installed on the hard drive you can use a copy of Windows 7 upgrade to upgrade your computer but you will need to boot the computer with the Windows 7 dvd and perform a custom installation. Which will remove all your programs and data so there will be very practical backups.
The best option is to repair Vista first.
Before dismiss you the idea of buying a copy of the full license of Windows 7, remember that it would be transferable to a new computer much more easily that an upgrade copy is.

How Firefox can remember after I upgraded to Windows 7 from Vista?
I intend to have someone to do a clean install of windows7 on my HP laptop (which currently is running vista home premium) from the windows disks 7 provided by HP. My Favorites will be remembered when I reload Firefox?
All of your personal information for Firefox (bookmarks, passwords, etc.) are stored on your hard drive.
You must make a backup of your entire profile folder or some elements in your profile folder before installing Windows 7.
- Put the backup somewhere a course on another hard disk, CD or USB/pin/thumb/jump drive until after Windows 7 is installed, and Firefox is re-installed.
- Then, you can copy selected files in your profile folder under your Windows 7 Firefox installation.
Some information is duplicated in the following articles, but try all read. If you plan carefully, you should lose any of your information.

Can I upgrade from Windows 7 home premium 32-BIT to Windows 7 Professional 64-BIT
If I bought Windows 7 Professional upgrade of Windows before my Tech friend screwed up and reinstalled my windows 7-64 BIT FOR a 32-bit, I can use this if upgrade to Windows 7 Professional for a 64-BIT?
previous 1 original Windows - Windows 7-64 BIT
2nd CURRENT windows-Windows 7 32 bit
WANT TO UPGRADE - Windows 7 Professional 64 BIT
RUN Windows 7-32 BIT UPGRADE TO Windows 7 Professional 64 bit
You will need to do a clean install, there is no place on the way to upgrade Windows 7 32 bit to 64 bit.
Using the disk of 64-bit Windows 7, install Windows 7 Windows Easy Transfer Utility from the DVD (to find it, simply navigate to x:\support\migwiz, "x:" is the name of your hard drive. (In this case, you will see a collection of files, the important"that you must search for and double-click is 'migsetup'.) run it and create a DAMP (Windows Easy Transfer file), if you have an external hard drive, you can access it later when you perform a clean install of Windows 7 64-bit disk so you can stored there.
Once you have done this, just do a clean install of Windows 7 64 bit disc. In Windows 7 64 bit disk, start Windows Easy Transfer, follow the wizard screen, tap on which is stored the WET file (external hard drive) and it will restore your personal files and settings. Reinstall the applications needed.

Windows 7 home upgrade to windows 7 pro says that's not available?
I can't use my anytime upgrade windows 7 home to windows 7 pro, I said that's not available.
What can I do to upgrade to windows pro
Microsoft sales ended for Anytime Upgrade and licensing of retail in October 2013. Otherwise, your only way to upgrade is by purchasing the retail full version or upgrade Windows 7 Professional license and use it with the wizard upgrade Express Windows 7 home Basique/Familiale Premium. I just checked amazon.com and all the licenses that I see are copies OEM System Builder:
http://www.Amazon.com/Microsoft-Windows-7-8-software/b?ie=UTF8&node=1286119011
This means the boxed retail copies request a bonus, while the OEM System Builder copies remain affordable.
Full version (retail):
-Includes the rights of transfer to another computer.
-Does not require a qualifying earlier version of Windows.
-Expensive
Upgrade version (detail):
-Includes the rights of transfer to another computer.
-require a qualifying earlier version of Windows.
-Expensive, but less expensive full version
OEM System Builder version:
The OEM of Windows 7 versions are identical to the versions commercial full license with the following exception:
-OEM versions don't offer any free direct support from Microsoft technical support Microsoft
-OEM Licenses are tied to the computer first you install and activate it on
-OEM versions allow all hardware upgrades except for an upgrade to a different model motherboard
-OEM versions does not move directly from an older Windows operating system
There is nothing wrong to use it too, especially that all future versions of Windows will be full versions.
If you can get a copy of a retail license, you can do the following:
If the license for Windows 7 Professional, you have access to is a retail version update or complete, you can use the product key and the Express upgrade to Windows 7 Edition Home Premium to Windows 7 Professional. First of all, check that the edition of Windows 7, you are upgrading is already enabled (if it isn't, you will encounter complications and that you might start all by performing a clean installation). Click Start, type Anytime Upgrade, click on the option enter a key, enter the key of Windows 7 Professional on demand, click Next, wait while checking the key, accept the license agreement, click on upgrade, wait while the software upgrades, (it may take 10 minutes or more depending on the if updates are required) your computer restarts automatically, after the reboot, Windows 7 will notify you updating the computer, the computer will restart once more automatically and will be completed the upgrade, a window will appear notifying the upgrade was successful and your computer is ready to use, click Close, you should be upgraded to Windows 7 Professional your files, programs and settings retained.
Please note that the Express upgrade does not support OEM, MSDN-Academic, Volume (the student faculty licenses) license. If you are in possession of all these brackets, you will need to save and do a custom clean install. If you want to do it, please backup your Windows 7 Home Premium or according to edition currently installed. Some licenses for Windows distributed to tertiary level students are not perpetual, which means that you cannot continue to use the software after a course or graduating.

Satellite U500 - 11G - cannot activate the upgrade to Windows 7
Really sorry to this topic, but with the new Satellite U500 - 11G can not activate the upgrade to Windows 7. Keep told by entering the serial number that it was origonally installed with Vista, but no info on how to activate it.
Any help here please?
Hi mate
The Toshiba pre-installed Vista OS has already been activated.
AFAIK if you upgraded the operating system Vista to Win 7 using the Toshiba Windows 7 upgrade kit then a Win 7 must be already activated and does not need to be enabled separately
