Cancellation charges nonsense

I used Adobe Creative cloud as an amateur for a few years but have not had the chance to use the suite for several months because of changes in my personal life.

I decided to cancel my subscription since my membership is quite a lot of money thrown out the window at this point. I learn only now how outrageous self-renewal process is and I really wonder how Adobe can get away with this. First of all, I just realized that my subscription automatically renewed a few months ago at a significantly higher rate; fine. I'm biting the teeth here even if I didn't know that my previous membership had reached its end and auto-renouvelé. What I find unacceptable, is that Adobe is forcing me into a new contract because the automatic renewal me blocked for a further period of 12 months. All this was done by sending me an email notification (the type that is found easily in your junk e-mail folder) so far there subscription automatically renewed. I ended up calling the customer service that the only answer was "but, you have agreed to the terms when you have purchased 18 months ago. They will now refuse to do not apply fees for termination of this contract which automatically renewed and I froze for a further period of 12 months without me noticing it soon enough. This will be like a total scam and abusive sales tactics.

Somebody has had similar experiences? If so, did you get the cancellation fee waived? I can't believe that an organization such as Adobe would choose to hide behind the General conditions on providing good customer service.

    Hi, I think it is completely bad customer service in time of need, it is never possible to cancel a subscription. Especially if you get it wrong in get a free month. Major complaints. Anyone with financial problems should be heard, most companies have this goodwill, not Adobe. It's sad to say. And this discussion will probably end up answering standardized and locked. Very discouraged. Even if Adobe has been kinder than that.

    Nobody is likely to block this discussion as you have not broken a policy forum.  These forums are not a place to resolve matters of business with Adobe, however.  For this, you must contact Customer Support and see if they are willing to work with you about your financial situation and the terms of the license agreement that you signed when you took on the subscription.

    Monthly plans are available for simple applications and plans of all the app and can be cancelled at any time. Annual plans are less expensive, but incur cancellation charges if taken end at the beginning.

  • I want to change my plan photography & after effect the all Apps student, how do I do without paying cancellation fees?

    I bought the plan of photography and After Effects, without realizing that, as a student, I could get the plan of the student. I wish I could spend plans, but when I try to cancel my plans of course asked me to pay the cancellation fee. I am wary to do if I'll just come back and use the programs, with another plan that offers access to more applications. I would pay the same amount for the plan of the student I pay now for my current plan, so is there a way to circumvent the problem of cancellation charges and simply exchange plans?

  • Can I suspend my subscription to creative cloud?

    We are very pleased with our subscription CC for Photoshop, but our designer left the company at the end of October when we paid for the software since then, no one to use it.  As we are likely to fill this vacancy for even a few months, I went to cancel the subscription to save us the monthly fee, but he said there would be a ~ £50 cancellation charge, probably because there is a term of contract.

  • Why only one or all?

    I am concerned mainly with photography, but I'm also interested to learn Illustrator, InDesign and Acrobat. Previously, I would get Lightroom and Design Suite Standard and I have everything that I needed. Now, I have to subscribe to the cloud together to get 5 apps I want. Actually, I am not learning or who need the rest of the apps offer the cloud and I wonder if Adobe considered people who need only a limited choice of applications. It doesn't make sense for someone to pay for things they are not going to use it. I read today's blog post, this issue was not cited as a concern for Adobe.

    I recently signed up for a free trial of Adobe Stock who announced that you can upload 10 images free stock with the free trial version. I downloaded the images and decided it wasn't a good investment for me to pay after the trial. I cancelled one week before the date of the end of the trial, but now I see a charge for $186,85 in my account. How can I reconcile this?

I signed up with Adobe in February of 2014 to pay every month to use Photoshop and Lightroom.  It was costing me $9.99 per month.  $ 300.00 later I cancelled because times are hard and I learned to save a little $$ somewhere.  I had planned on resubbing at a later date, when I'm back on my feet, but now, when I cancelled I find that they are now I charge a cancellation fees of $39.96. Needless to say, they have lost a customer for LIFE. Moreover, I will spread this bad move on their part to everyone I know.

    Given, it was more than two years that I signed up for this plan, but I myself remember not see anything that indicated that I have would be charged cancellation fees.  Even the subscription conditions didn't not tell about cancellation fees.

    It is a VERY bad move on the part of Adobe.

    You are probably not license agreement that applies to you.  It is highly unlikely that you have a one month subscription to based on the price you say you pay per month.  Month to month membership costs around 1.5 times that amount to a regular subscription (I'm assuming you have the Plan of photography) and the normal annual subscription price is $ 9.99 per month.  I do not, moreover, there is a plan from month to month offered for the Plan of photography.

    For an annual subscription, you end up paying a penalty of half the cost remaining subscription when you cancel early.  See if the math adds up for your case.
