  You can check in the Windows 7 system if the password protected sharing is enabled. When protected by password sharing is enabled, people using other computers on your network cannot access your shared folders or printers unless they have a user account on your computer.

  2. don't you make changes to the computer before this problem?

  You can try to rename the catroot2 folder and check if it helps.

  Step 1:

  a. Click Start and in run type C:\windows\system32 and click ok

  b. find the Catroot2 folder. Right-click on Catroot2 and rename it to Catroot2.old

  If you are not able to do the normal mode, try to start in safe mode and rename

  For the not 24 hours I tried to access my computer in normal mode. When I turn on the pc, it says "configuration data 1 of 3 steps...". 0% complete"he never spent 0% and within seconds, it automatically restarts and starts again. It's so frustrating!   I have two FireWire G-drive hard daisy chained and connected to my iMac. I am able to access the information for once, but after a while I can't access information from it anymore.

  For libraries of Final Cut Pro, it will say "Final Cut Pro cannot save the changes to the library."

  I hope you both of these backup discs because they failed to comply and when they do, you may lose all your data. Don't do anything until you know that the data is safe. Have you run disk utility to try to repair the disks?
