Cannot access network although it has full bars

OK, so we have just changed our internet provider from border to Comcast and my Vista laptop easily accessible network and internet before but now it isn't. We have two other laptops in the House (one is a vista) and it connects fine. Mine shows a big triangle yellow with an exclamation mark inside and said "press the button configuration on the access point before you continue." I tried to reset several times access point and a few other troubleshooting techniques, but nothing has worked. It also has an option to enter the password, but he then told me that it cannot connect to the network. When we had the guy from Comcast come to our House to fix something else, we showed him the laptop too. He typed a few things in the command prompt and said he won't let go made the previous IP address and told me that it is my computer not the router. I tried to get the number to call the Microsoft vista support by putting in my identification number of Vista, but it says that my number is not supported in this country (which is * because what country rely if not the United States, which we bought in and live in.) Then, I took in a pc shop and had them watch. They have reinstalled the driver and it worked in the shop, but not at home. They said it was the fault of the router and not my pc. They are about fingers pointing towards each other and I have a sneaking suspicion that vista just doesn't like my new router. It's a WNR 1000 v2 if it made a difference. I'm running on a 32-bit Vista Home Premium. Until the problem is solved? I prefer not to spend much money on technicians who probably cannot solve the problem when I should get free support from Microsoft in any case. Will it work if I update to Windows 7? I can provide links to the screens of error message if it comes down to that. Thanks in advance.

    Hello

What is the IP address of the hosts/servers LAN Gateway?

If this is not the ASA 'inside' interface IP address then I assume that the problem with VPN is simply routing.

For example, if your hosts/servers LAN wireless LAN gateway router then the following would happen to your Clients VPN connections.

    • Forms of customers login VPN users through configuring wireless routers static PAT (Port Forward) to interface "inside" ASA
    • Client VPN sends traffic through the VPN to ASA and again the host of the server or LAN.
    • Host/server LAN sees the connection from a network other than the LAN (192.168.202.0/24) and therefore to forward traffic to the default gateway that would likely be the wireless router.
    • Wireless router has no route to the network 192.168.202.0/24 (VPN Pool) and therefore uses its default route to the external network to forward traffic.
    • Client VPN host never received the traffic back as transmitted sound on the external network and abandoned by the ISP

So if the above assumption is correct, then you would at least need a configuration of the road on the wireless router that tells the device to transfer traffic to the network 192.168.202.0/24 to the 192.168.201.200 gateway IP address (which is the SAA)

I would like to know if the installation is as described above.

  • HP 190 t and cannot access network after upgrade to win 8

Upgrade to Windows 8 and cannot access the internet on my desktop HP 190 t.  No driver available on the HP support site.  I can see received/transmitted data between router but that is as far as it goes.   Have ideas or how to get the chipset drivers or should I get another network card?  Everything else seems to work very well.

I found the problem.  Norton Security Suite does not work with Win 8, causing conflicts.   I have remove the application configured defender and firewall Windows to maintain security until Norton product can support 8 Win.

  • Domain user on the laptop cannot access network folders

I have a user who has a laptop with Windows 7 Pro.  The laptop is on the field.  A week ago, some of its readers mapped network disappeared from his window of the computer - they have been set up with a logon script.  When I tried remap readers, I got an error that the readers were already mapped with other identification information.

I tried to use wired and wireless and disabling NetBIOS.  I tried to sign up with my own account, and after that my profile has been created I was able to access network drives without any problems, that tells me that this isn't a hardware problem.

I took a look in C:\Users and found 2 records for his profile, one named [username], another named [username]. [domain].  The [user name]. There is a padlock icon that tells me that it is the account currently being logged record [field].  However, records (e.g. office) are all empty, so it is somehow redirecting to the files under the profile of [username].  I backed up and deleted the registry key for its profile and restarted the computer, but this only created a NEW temporary folder called [username]. [domain]. 000.

Short to save all files in [user_name] and suppression of all profiles or do a clean install of Windows is there anything else I can try?

When I tried remap readers, I got an error that the readers were already mapped with other identification information.

    -> The command console

    net use

tell you what actions are mapped. And the console command

    NET use * / del

Removes all existing connections to share.

I tried to use wired and wireless and disabling NetBIOS.

-> Ping your server would immediately you tell if you have network connectivity.

The [user name]. There is a padlock icon that tells me that it is the account currently being logged record [field].

-> How to lock that only takes into account with administrator privileges have access to this folder.

I backed up and deleted the registry key for its profile and restarted the computer, but this only created a NEW temporary folder called [username]. [domain]. 000.

->, You can force Windows to use a given profile folder manually by setting the name of the folder here:

    HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList\S...\ProfileImagePath

Search for the incorrect path name (. domain.000 [username]), and then change the path.

  • Googlebot cannot access your site. Has anyone encountered this problem before?

    Hello

I'm a rookie at this. I just wanted to create a simple site and could use the tools webmasters google crawl my site

    but it happens

"I received an e-mail from saying: webmaster tools".

    Googlebot cannot access your site.

    Recommended action

If the site's error rate is 100%:

    • Using a web browser, try to accesshttp://www.graphicsigns.co.nz/robots.txt. If you are able to access it from your browser, your site can be configured to deny access by googlebot. Check your firewall configuration and the site to ensure that you are not denying access by googlebot.
    • If your robots.txt file is a static page, check that your web service has appropriate permissions to access the file.
    • If your robots.txt file is generated dynamically, verify that scripts that generate the robots.txt file are properly configured and have to run. Check the logs of your Web site to see if your scripts fail and if so try to diagnose the cause of the failure.

If the site's error rate is less than 100%:

    • Using webmaster tools, find a day with a high error rate and review logs of your web server to this day here. Look for errors to access robots.txt file in the logs for that day and fix the causes of these errors.
    • The more likely explanation is that your site is too large. Contact your hosting provider and discuss to reconfigure your web server or by adding more resources to your Web site.
    • If your site redirects to a different host name, another possible explanation is that a URL on your site redirects to a hostname portion of his robots.txt file exposes one or more of these questions.

Please need your help & expertise to solve this.

    Musch appreciated.

  • one of the VM cannot access network LAN

    Hello

I configured 3 VM on an ESXi 4.1 (see attached jpg file). one of the virtual machine (GSPPBPCDBVM), it cannot access the network LAN, even cannot ping Bridge but can ping GSPPBPCVM after I walk today, previously, it was ok. The other 2 VM can access LAN network. What could be the problem?

    GSPPBPCVM (128.1.8.x)

    GSPPBPCDBVM (128.1.8.x)

    AEPAD (10.8.1.x)

vmnic1 (to connect to the local network virtual 128.1.8.x)

vmnic0 (to connect to the local network virtual 10.8.1.x)

    Thank you and best regards,

    Kelvin

With the configuration you have posted, you have a 50/50 chance that none of your VM will have access to the network, since you have 2 NICs connected to two different VLANS and virtual machines are assigned to these network cards based on the virtual switch port (assuming you use the default settings).

To properly set up the network, you have two options:

1.) VLAN tagging on the physical switch ports (what you have)

In this case, you will need to create a second vSwitch and attach the second NETWORK card to this switch. Then connect virtual machines to the vSwitch and port group that is connected to the switch port VLAN corresponding physics.

2.) VLAN tagging on the virtual port group (this is what I recommend)

Configure the ports on your physical switch as the trunk (or ports 'labelled' If you use Procurve switches), create another port VM on vSwitch0 group and set up VLAN tags on the gropus (VMKernel, VM Network1, VM Network2) port

Take a look at http://www.vmware.com/files/pdf/virtual_networking_concepts.pdf for more information.

  • Showing in the form of folder icon and cannot access network drive icon

    Hi team,

The network drive that I drew in my computer using my profile isn't allowing me to access.

The network drive icon shows as a folder icon and it says access denied even if I have the permissions to access the file on the server.

The server we use is the exchange Server 2003.

But I am able to access the files inside the drive using the Option RUN as well as Address bar in my computer.

And I am able to access the folder on the server without any problem.

The operating system I use is Windows XP.

But it worked for someone else, when I deleted a file named autorun.inf in the folder of the shared drive on the server!

Could you please tell me what is autorun.inf and he really causes this problem in the drive on the server or is there any other reason.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Is this a compatibility issue with the Atheros AR9485 and Windows 8.1?   What is the solution?

Please uninstall all the drivers of the QCA9000 series and try this Driver Qualcomm Atheros Wireless LAN QCA9000 series.

  • User cannot access network drives.

Using Anyconnect 2.5 and ASA 5510. When a user connects to the VPN, DNS suffixes change settigs ' Append primary "to"Add these suffixes." (See below)

The suffix PublicDomain.com is listed as the default domain in group policy. The problem I have is that a particular user can not see the network drives. If I ping the server that drives mapped, I get an audience to an IP address. If I ping server. OfficeComputerDomain.com I have the right internal IP address. So, if I manually change the order and OfficeComputerDomain.com first of all, the user can access without problem network drives. Can I first set up the VPN profile to the OfficeComputerDomain.com list or can I just change the default domain in the group to my internal domain name policy?

    Thank you

Yes, you can change both in the related group policy configuration.

  • ox80070035 error - cannot access \\network\filename

Hi, I have 2 windows 8 pcs and Windows XP.  I can't create a homegroup because of the XP machine.  I can't seem to get the network to recognize the Windows 8 machines, the XP was fine until tonight and now I can't access those files either.  I have been working on this for months and was even a company with their technicians watch the.  Is any and all of the advanced settings are correct.

Are all correct sharing permissions, not only in the sharing properties, but they are all correct file access permissions in NTFS file access security permissions too?

You are using a wireless network?  If so try to connect through an Ethernet cable for testing purposes.

In Windows 8 make sure all the settings as the network discovery are correct in control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Network and sharing Center.

In XP check that "Sharing files and printers for Microsoft Networks" are checked in the properties of the network connection to the relevant map.

It may be necessary to disable the Windows Firewall, or indeed uninstall any third-party firewall, in order to eliminate these as a cause.

  • SWF cannot access network

Hello, so I do a Flash game and I got LAN connection works, but for some reason any when I upload the SWF file to a Web site and try to access it, I get a whole box of conformation "want to allow you to access the internet?", except that I can't really change its settings. It's all white and when I click it nothing happens. Here is a screenshot:7170db2f8b7108246a3729102a711700

I tried to open it on several computers, each of them get the same question. Does anyone have any ideas why this is happening?

You must call click_lan_multiplayer before that your group is defined.

You must be in your service netStatus defines your group when

    Event.info.code == "NetConnection.Connect.Success":

    check my class of P2P.

  • SOLVED: PC Windows 7 cannot access remote shares or the

Head, meet wall. Wall, meet the leader.

I have a W7/64 PC that cannot access network shares. He has been installed from the original CD (simple installation) but never worked. Resettlement is not a preferred option because the client already has tons of data and applications on it.

Other machines can access the local shares of this PC, but it can access any remote shares (on any other PC W7) or his own - in short customer service around file sharing does not work properly, although this machine can see all available actions... She just can't access. Other PC can access machines that cannot do this. Ping works fine in all cases.

"Remote machines appear in the list of"Network"in Windows Explorer, but trying to access them produces an error: the specified network provider name is invalid.

No software anti-virus or firewall is currently installed or running.

I'm trying to access here to all actions are available to all other machines of W7 in the network. (All machines are W7 boxes).

Note how the workstation service is said not having started, but in fact has already started summer (which I checked in the list of services). In short, this does not appear be related to a service does not...

I went through all the standard movements as posted on the Interwebs, including the verification of services, local policies, home groups, convenience stores, and which do not. Note that I tried to start the workstation service via a DOS box as an administrator; If I'm not I get a "system error 5 has occurred" and and "access denied".

In short, I am completely puzzled. I start the troubleshooting of this PC, but now I want to just pull it. Please help before something bad happens... :-)

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
